Chapter 369 Public Voice
Colin was always good at saying the most shocking things in the most gentle tone.
Faye leaned against his arms and did not move, allowing him to rub against her neck.
After a long time, she pursed her lips slightly and whispered, "Let me think."
After having breakfast at the hotel, the two went to the office by car.
On the way, the two chatted from time to time but both of them didn't mention the thing that happened
yesterday.
Adults would behave like this. No matter how devastated they had been the day before, they just
returned to normal after a sleep.
When the car arrived at the office, Faye got out first.
Colin lowered the window and asked her to approach him.
Faye raised her eyebrows, "What?"
Colin's smiled, "I want to talk to you."
It was rush hour. So Faye did not hesitate and walked to him and bent over, "What's up?" she asked.
Colin's slender fingers grasped Faye's collar and gently pulled it forward. He then gave her a kiss.
Faye's face suddenly flushed and she subconsciously backed away.
Colin obediently loosened his grip and rubbed his thin lips with his fingers. "Honey, work hard today,"
he said in a bantering tone.
Faye, "..."
At this point, there were quite a few employees of Farrell Media in the underground car park. The two
had always been in the limelight. Now many employees noticed them.
A few young female staff members saw Colin kissing Faye through the car window. They snickered.
"Mr. Farrell lived up to his reputation as a sexy man."
"I had never thought that Mr. Farrell had had a crush on Ms. Nash for so many years. I always thought
that Mr. Zhou would never fall for any of the women around him."
"Yes. We would have never known about their romance if Mr. Farrell himself had not announced it."
"I'm so jealous of Ms. Nash!"
Those who were speaking were all young girls in their twenties, who just graduated from university.
Young people are fearless.
Faye pretended not to hear them and looked at Colin, "You too." replied Faye.
After saying that, she turned around and left. Colin smiled.
Faye took the lift to the PR department. As soon as she entered the office, Galen followed her in a
hurry.
Faye looked up at her, "What's the matter?"
Galen opened the tablet in her hand and handed it to Faye, "It's about Fanny."
Faye frowned and took it. She got it after just a glance at the title of the text.
--Fanny, the new influencer in entertainment, was revealed to have attempted to get the clout by
following the steps of Natalia who was a big shot.
Faye lifted her eyes to look at Galen, "When did this heated discussion start?"
Galen replied, "The post appeared in the predawn hours of last night and I guessed they wanted to
avoid our eyes by doing that. What's more, Natalia's company had hired paid Internet trolls who
managed to get the post into the top three headlines with her old fans."
Faye put down the tablet and went to make coffee calmly.
After a few minutes, the coffee was ready and Faye carried the coffee cup to take a sip. Galen
whispered, "I found that no matter what Fanny did or said may later easily get herself criticized or even
trolled."
Faye raised his eyebrows, "What?"
Galen said, "She had met a playboy before and now she was involved in fake news ..."
Faye put down the coffee cup, "Do you think it's her fault?" she questioned.
Galen was silent. After a moment, she said honestly, "Of course not."
Faye walked over to her desk. She put the coffee cup down and picked up the tablet again. She said
calmly while reading the post of an influencer, "That's the price of an ordinary person trying to
succeed."
Galen nodded, "Yes. For example, one big shot had previously used the power of capital to suppress
Mr. Blake for eight months.."
Faye laughed lightly, "What was the result?"
Galen said, "Of course, Mr. Blake won. It's easy to follow the gossip and believe it. However, time will
tell."
Faye looked down and ran her fingertips across the screen, which showed a comparison picture of
Fanny and Natalia's debut made by that influencer.
It seemed that Natalia's team had cost a lot of money. They even got a picture of her when she was
just a walk-on. And all they cared about was destroying Fanny's reputation.
For example, Natalia began her career as the character of a maid, and so was Fanny.
For example, Natalia's persona was initially that of a quiet actor, and so was Fanny.
The most ridiculous one was that Natalia was cheated by a playboy when her career took off, and so
was Fanny.
Surprisingly, it should list over a dozen things that they both had in common.
Each thing was ridiculous.
But the rumor seemed to be likely to fool others because of these dozen "coincidences" and the label
of "capitalist backing".
It was as if Farrell had planned to ask Natalia to follow Natalia's steps from the time Fanny started her
career.
But everyone seemed to forget that Fanny had been in the industry for seven years.
If Farrell had had that idea, they would have done it earlier.
In addition, Fanny and Natalia started their careers around the same time, so it's unlikely that
executives of Farrell Media would let her follow Natalia's steps to success.
They would have a chance of making money more easily as soothsayers than as executives if they
really had that ability.
The more she read, the more she thought it was nonsense, so she simply threw the tablet on her desk.
Galen saw this and asked, "Now Fanny 's reputation is so bad that several advertisers have stopped
working with her."
Faye replied, "I know."
Galen asked, "What should we do now?" RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Faye leaned back in her seat, "Since Natalia "worked so hard" to spread the rumor, she certainly
wouldn't end her operation so quickly. Let's see what she wanted to do next."
Galen said with a disgusted look, "Natalia was so brazen that not only did she provoke a scolding war
with other actors, she also personally scolded fans who said she was not good at acting."
Faye drank his coffee and did not make any comments.
At ten in the morning, Fanny's Facebook collapsed.
The comment area was all filled with abuse from Natalia's fans.
"Disgusting! Shameless! How dare you imitate Natalia!"
"Previously you said Ralph had betrayed you. I think it was you who had betrayed him!"
"I heard that your parents wanted to discard you since you were born, right? Your parents were so
lucky and wise! They knew you were a loser when you were born!"
"You're a loser! All you do is imitate her!"
"We must see her character clearly. By no means could we accept her!"
Looking at the comments on Fanny's Facebook, Faye took her phone and sent a message to Fanny,
"Are you okay?"
Fanny replied in seconds, "Never mind, Ms. Nash, I'm fine."
Faye said, "Take care of yourself."
Fanny replied with a smiling emoji.
At 6 pm that day, Natalia sent out another post, pushing the situation to a climax.
The title was "You are so disgusting that you even try to copy my dressing style."
The pictures below were of her and Fanny.
She was wearing a short burgundy sheath dress with a bare-back design and a large bow as a cover-
up.
The other picture was of Fanny, who seemed to be attending some award ceremony. Fanny was
wearing a long black dress with a hanging neck style, and the belt around her waist was tied into a
bow.
To be honest, if Natalia hadn't posted this, the public probably would never have compared her dress
with that one of Fanny.
However, due to the spread of the rumor, this tiny thing became ironclad proof that Fanny had imitated
Natalia.
"Fanny is so disgusting! She should imitate the dressing style of Natalia!"
"I'm speechless. Something is wrong with her brain! She even doesn't know what to wear!"
"The bows should actually be the same. She must not know how ugly she looks in this outfit!"
"My god! I'm really disgusted. I was a fan of Fanny a while ago!"
"Let's file a collective complaint against Fanny! Let's get her out of the entertainment industry!"
And there were a lot of people defending Natalia on her Facebook.
It seemed that she had read them one by one and gave a "like" to the one that suggested filing a
collective complaint against Fanny.
Faye indifferently flipped through Natalia's Facebook. Then she closed the tablet. She snorted.
Who was it that said cyberspace was not a place beyond the rule of law?
