Chapter 46
Gary scoffed, confident of his victory. “Relax, the Sinclair Group isn’t something he’d give up easily.
“After getting a taste of being on top, he won’t be able to stand losing it. He’ll definitely come back to clean up the mess. The moment he does, let me
know!
“The Moore family has been glorious for decades. It’s not going to end like this!”
Frank found Gary’s words somewhat reasonable. It was unlikely that Dominick would just abandon the Sinclair Group.
After all, it was only as president of the Sinclair Group that he could continue his high–society lifestyle.
However, after agreeing with Gary, Frank began to strategize.
“That doesn’t sound right. The Moore family has no ties with the Sinclair family now. Jessica deliberately gave up our first grandson. That alone has completely severed the bond between our families!”
Frank looked at Gary coldly. “And you expect Dominick to help you? Dream on! Get out of our house!”
“Gary, so you’re refusing us now? I didn’t see you distancing yourself when the Moore family was thriving. And now you say such things. Do you have no shame?”
Gary, unabashed, retorted, “If you don’t help the Moore family, I’ll just stay here and not leave! I’ll also spread the word that the Sinclair family is unprincipled!”
Frank, not one to be intimidated easily, scoffed with sarcasm.
“Do you think I’m a fool? The Sinclair family is in a tough spot. Even if Dominick manages to turn things around, he’ll need to focus solely on the Sinclair family. Is the Moore family looking to gain an advantage? Do you think you’re the only one who can plot? Everyone else is a fool, is that it?
“Someone, throw him out!”
“Mr. Sinclair, everything’s in chaos. The Moore family and the Sinclair family have clashed, and the news is spreading like wildfire. Given the stock’s downward trend, the Sinclair family won’t recover, let alone the Moore family. They won’t last three days.”
Henry was emotionally conveying the news he had gathered.
He seemed not at all concerned about the company’s impending collapse.
Dominick, who was taking his medicine, slowly set down the cup and turned on his computer.
Scandals about the Moore and Sinclair families were everywhere, and emails were piling up in his inbox.
He randomly opened one, all of which were documents needing his urgent attention.
It was all about dealing with the crisis at hand.
Dominick didn’t reply to any.
He chose to observe from a distance.
Just like the Sinclair family had coldly observed others‘ misfortunes over the years.
He thought a cold–hearted family deserved a taste of their own medicine.
“Dom.”
A gentle voice sounded. Heather walked in with Dominick’s once–favorite apple pie.
She had peacefully removed her veil and was no longer dressed in simple, long dresses,
“But this is your hard work. Are you really willing to watch the company go under? Have you thought about what you’ll do in the fure?”
Dominick turned off his laptop, smiling slightly, “Don’t worry. The Sinclair Group was never mine to begin with, I’ve never considered it my job. It was just out of a sense of duty that I took over temporarily.”
Heather paused, slightly taken aback. “You already have plans?”
“It’s not about having plans. It’s time for me to return to my own life.”
Henry smiled understandingly. It was time for Dominick to return to where he belonged, which had been empty for far too long.
“Mr. Sinclair, someone is here for you.”
Jack was the only person Dominick brought out from Sinclair Manor.
Ever since Dominick arrived at the Sinclair family, Jack had taken good care of him. Remembering Jack’s genuine kindness, Dominick decided to take
him along
“Who is it?”
“Um…Jessica,” Jack said hesitantly.
“Don’t let her in.”
Dominick’s expression darkened. He realized that someone must have secretly investigated to find this place.
“But…Jessica seems to be on the brink of madness. She said if she can’t see you, she’ll tell everyone you’re living here. Then, the Sinclair family will surely come here!”
Dominick had come to accept that Jessica was no longer the pure girl she used to be, but he hadn’t expected her to stoop so low!
“Let her in. I want to see what she has to say,” Heather interjected, worried that the Sinclair family might trouble Dominick
Dominick thought he would never see Jessica again.
But when they did meet, the beauty that Jessica once prided herself on had vanished from her face, and the arrogance her status afforded her was nowhere to be found in her eyes.
“Dominick, you’re really ruthless. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Jessica’s eyes, once filled with love, now brimmed with resentment. Her hair was messy, her face dirty, and she looked like a demon crawling out of hell
“So, you had it all planned out, huh? Our wedding was just a tool for you, a stepping stone to end it all here, wasn’t it?”
Dominick frowned, “Do you think saying all this now makes any
difference?
“If you’re here for the Moore family, don’t bother won’t help.”
Jessica laughed, sitting on the couch with her legs crossed, a stark contrast to her former self
“Don’t rush. I must have something up my sleeve if I came to see you, I’m confident you’ll agree.
She spoke with certainty as if holding all the aces.
曲
Hearing this, Dominick instinctively worried about Lola’s safety.
But then he remembered Ethan was likely protecting Lola well, so he doubted that was Jessica’s leverage
“No need. You can leave, or I can have the security throw you out. Your choice.”
Jessica seemed taken aback by Dominick’s attitude. She believed her leverage would work, not expecting to be dismissed so easily
“Dominick, you’ll regret not hearing me out! You might be hiding here now but won’t stay hidden forever. You’ll want to go back and fix the mess at the Sinclair Group. After all, how could you give up such a prestigious status?
“I know you. You won’t settle for being nobody. I’m sure you have a way to turn the Sinclair Group around. But I have information that could hurt the Sinclair Group. If you don’t help the Moore family, I’ll release it, and the Sinclair family will never recover!”
Jessica resorted to threatening Dominick, knowing if she couldn’t save the Moore family, her life would be worse than death.
Without the Moore family, she would no longer be the heiress, and she would lose all the flattery from those around her!
“Do you think I’m afraid of that?”
