Chapter 220
Chapter 220
Someone chimed in, "What kind of punishment could it be?"
Queenie seemed to be just outside their dorm, continuing, "Well, the issue has already been escalated to Superiority College. Just imagine, if she had to retake the SATs, how well do you think she'd do?"
"Ah, you mean Superiority College might revoke her admission?"
"Why would Superiority College want a student with questionable character?"
Daisy was hunched over her work, absorbing every word. She clenched her fists and bit her lip.
After Queenie finally left, Daisy couldn't help but turn to look at Cordelia, her roommate in the bunk above. Sitting there, her silhouette looked particularly lonely and pitiful.
Despite being a genius, she was still just a student. She must be terrified now, right? Thinking this, Daisy noticed Cordelia's shoulders quiver. Was she... crying?
Daisy panicked. She quickly stood up and went over to Cordelia's bed, anxiously starting, "Hey, genius, don't cry. When they come tomorrow, we'll clear things up. Don't worry, I'll explain everything for you!"
"And besides, Superiority College won't revoke your admission, not with your achievements. So many top universities would love to have you. Don't worry, it'll be alright."
"If it comes to it, I'll appeal with you! We can't let you be wronged!"
Seeing Cordelia still not responding, Daisy reached out, "Genius, you..."
Before she could finish, Cordelia slowly turned around, her eyes misty. She pulled out her earbuds, looking puzzled, "What's up?"
Daisy was speechless. She stared at Cordelia's phone for a moment before she saw Cordelia remove her earbuds and say into the phone, "Hold on a sec."
Then, turning back to Daisy, "Something wrong?"
Noticing Daisy's gaze on her phone, Cordelia asked, "Is there a problem with a homework question?"
Daisy was at a loss for words. Listening to the pop sounds from the game on her phone, Daisy questioned her life choices.
"So, you were gaming?" Daisy asked, swallowing hard.
Cordelia frowned seriously and nodded, "Yeah, I game from nine to eleven each night."
Daisy was speechless. Sorry for the interruption.
Seeing Daisy had no more to say and went back to her work, Cordelia put her earbuds back in, continuing her game without disturbing Daisy. From the other side of the game, Little Flame asked, "What's up?"
Cordelia texted, "Roomie called me, it's nothing now."
"Continue?" Little Flame asked.
"Sure," Cordelia responded.
Playing solo games with Little Flame was fun, especially his sharpshooting skills. He had an in-depth understanding of shooters, strategic plays, and versatile combos. Cordelia learned a lot from Little Flame.
After playing a while longer, it was eleven o'clock. Despite not wanting to stop, Cordelia reminded herself not to get too absorbed and texted, "Gotta stop now."
"Okay," Little Flame replied.
As Cordelia was about to end the call, something crossed her mind, and she typed, "You back in Greenmeadow? At home?"
Yates hesitated, then coughed a bit before replying, "Yeah."
Right after, a knock on the door was heard, followed by, "Good evening, your pizza delivery."
Cordelia was puzzled. Pizza delivery at home?
Pondering this, she then heard from his side, "Good evening, Mr. Griffin, your hotel stay has expired. Would you like to extend it?"
Cordelia was even more puzzled. Extending a hotel stay at home?!
Yates, feeling awkward, coughed again, "Um, Lia, gotta hang up now."
Cordelia simply responded, "Oh."
After hanging up, Cordelia thought Little Flame was really amusing. She got out of bed, finished her nighttime routine, and then went back to bed. Daisy thought, perhaps the genius was using gaming as a distraction. After all, these times were tough. Then, she watched as Cordelia eventually fell asleep, her breathing steady. Daisy was bewildered.
The next day, Cordelia woke up at six sharp. Daisy, having studied late, was still lounging in bed. Cordelia quietly got up, did a bit of stretching, and then took her vocabulary book outside. She jogged around the yard while memorizing English Vocabulary.

After a lap, someone joined her. Turning her head, she saw Keen in his jogging outfit, keeping pace with her. Noticing her muttering, he asked, "What are you saying?"
Cordelia blurted out an English vocabulary word. Keen was speechless.
After jogging and memorizing for half an hour, Cordelia returned to the dorm to find Daisy awake, still in bed. Cordelia simply washed her face and sat at her desk.
Daisy realized the genius truly did balance her time well. She played when it was time to play, but she was equally serious about her studies. Like now, once Cordelia entered her study mode, she was completely absorbed.
By 7:30, Daisy was ready, and they both headed out for breakfast at the cafeteria, class starting at 8.
Unfortunately, as soon as they stepped out, they saw Everard holding breakfast from a local diner, greeting them with a wave. Daisy was flabbergasted.
Could it be that Sean was actually

the breakfast he handed her. The two of them then strolled off to the side as if they were in their own little world.
Eating in the classroom was a no-go, so Daisy, holding her own breakfast, trailed behind Cordelia and Everard. Watching them share a meal, she suddenly regretted not hitting the cafeteria instead. Was getting a dose of early morning PDA

After finishing their breakfast in a quaint gazebo in the courtyard, the trio finally entered the classroom.
As soon as they did, they were met with Queenie's voice, "I just saw some officials heading this way! Heard they're from the Department of Education! They're probably here to announce Cordelia's punishment!"
The room instantly tensed up.
Cordelia, however, seemed unfazed. Finding a spot with Everard, she turned to him, "What brings you here again?"
Leaning back against the table, Everard propped his chin with his hand, "I'm here for the show."
