Chapter 322 Burn All Of The Paintings

Chapter 322 Burn All Of The Paintings

"I'm sorry. Trina's just like that. I hope you won't hold grudges on her," said Noah.

"Don't be, Noah. She's right. I am indeed a nobody and I don't deserve you.

I am very different from Trina who's a famous award-winning painter," Carla replied as she pushed

Noah's hand away.

She then silently walked to the showcase where Trina's certificates and trophies were displayed.

Seeing Carla walking to her showcase, Trina immediately handed the cleaning kit to the staff and

walked towards the showcase too. She was worried about trophies.

Those trophies were fragile and extremely valuable. It would definitely break her heart if any of them

got broken.

Trina was in the middle of her thought when she saw that Carla was about to reach one of her trophies.

Worse, it was the one that valued the most, the Orchid Prize trophy!

Having this award was a big deal within the artists' circle. It was a great honor.

Carla could easily reach the trophy since it wasn't kept in a glass box. She couldn't help being

fascinated with it since she had also heard about its high value. It was a luck to finally see the

prestigious Orchid Prize in person. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Noah, please tell your fiancee to take her hand away from my things. She can't touch that trophy!"

shouted Trina.

The Orchid Prize was kept on the higher rack of the shelf for the longest time and nobody had dared to

touch it before. Thus, Trina never thought about putting it inside a protective case.

Most people who visited her gallery were rich and well-mannered.

However, Carla was an anomaly and never had Trina expected for a vulgar like Carla to lay a finger on

her precious Orchid Prize.

Holding the heavy trophy in her hand, Carla scrutinized every detail of it. She had to admit that the

Orchid Prize was indeed a very nice trophy. But then, why did a petty and arrogant person like Trina

receive it?

"Carla, hand me the trophy."

Noah walked over and reached out his hand. "This trophy is important to Trina. Let's put it back."

Disappointment flooded Carla's face as she turned to Noah. "So you think I'm not qualified to even

touch the trophy too?"

"No, that's not what I mean. You can do whatever you like to it if it is mine. However, it belongs to

someone else. You can't..."

"That's right. You're not qualified to touch it," Tina interrupted even before Noah finished his words.

She shot Carla with a disdainful stare then walked towards the two. She then reached for the trophy

while hissing, "The Orchid Prize is for the best artists. Of course, you're not qualified.

I guess you can't even afford to pay for it in case it breaks. Put it back immediately."

Casually, Carla just shrugged her shoulders and said, "Okay."

She handed the trophy to Trina. However, it slipped through Trina's hold and fell to the floor with a loud

crash! Although the floor was layered with a thin layer of red carpet, it didn't help much.

The trophy hit the floor and was instantly broken into two pieces.

"Oh my God! I thought you mentioned it is valuable. Why didn't you catch it?"

Carla looked at the broken trophy with her eyes wide open and then looked at Trina, blaming her.

On the other hand, Trina was so angry that she couldn't even utter a word. She stepped backward

dizzily and almost fainted.

"Are you all right, Trina?" Noah quickly grabbed her arm and apologized, "I'm sorry. It's my fault. I'll

have the trophy fixed as soon as possible."

Trina was glaring at Carla as she patted her chest. She was trying her best to calm herself down. "Such

a vulgar woman! Just because Noah takes you back, it doesn't mean you can do everything you want!

I don't understand why Noah wants to be engaged to you! You are nothing but a low dog!

Get out! I don't want to see you in my gallery, ever again! You don't deserve to step here!"

Noah furrowed and exhaled a deep breath. He walked to Carla and whispered, "Carla, apologize to

Trina. Say you didn't mean it."

"Why should I? I mean what I did. I broke the trophy deliberately."

Carla blinked and told him the truth.

"Carla!" Noah whispered in utter surprise. He grabbed both of her hands and said, "Don't be childish.

Trina has influences in the artists' circle. Listen to me, okay? Apologize to her and I'll fix the trophy."

"Didn't you hear that she repeatedly belittled me? Why aren't you mad at her at all?" Carla looked up at

him indignantly.

She was his fiancee. Wasn't he supposed to defend her against a bully like Trina?

"Carla..."

"Noah, I broke the trophy intentionally. She deserves that.

If you insist that I should apologize to her, she should apologize to me first."

Carla cut him off, not giving him any chance to explain further.

Those words made Noah furrow his eyebrows. He looked at Trina who was sorrowfully holding the

broken trophy, then turned to Carla. "It's my fault, okay? I shouldn't have brought you here, Carla.

Listen to me, apologize to her now. I'll make it up to you later. I'll let you do whatever you want..."

Carla shook her head and laughed upon hearing Noah. She was stone cold when she pushed him

away and walked to Trina with her cane.

"Trina, I am really sorry for accidentally breaking your trophy.

I know it is priceless. Please forgive me for the sake of Noah and I'll compensate for it. You just name a

price."

She would never say something like that before.

Nonetheless, since she was back to the Hua family, why not make use of their wealth for such cases,

right?

As someone who was so much taller than Carla, Trina stood up and looked down at Carla disgustingly.

How dare this midget confront her?

"All right! You said that! But don't use your fiance's money.

Although the Orchid Prize is indeed priceless, I won't ask for too much for Noah's sake. Give me a

million. Consider this case settled once you pay me that."

Carla raised one of her eyebrows and nodded. She then looked around the gallery, giving all the

paintings there an interested once-over. Finally, her eyes settled on the showcase.

"Okay. Then you might as well do the math and tell me how much all of them cost. Give me a number."

Carla didn't say more after those.

Since Trina had named a price, then it was a deal.

She walked to the showcase and then took her cane up.

Smashing all those trophies one by one would be troublesome. Thus, she planned to hit the glass

showcase from the bottom.

She was ready to hurl her cane against the glass when Noah grabbed her hand angrily.

"Enough, Carla! Don't go too far."

Forcefully, he pulled her out of that place.

Since they walked out in a hurry, Carla's injured leg sprained again. It hurt so much that she hummed in

pain.

When they finally walked out of the gallery, Noah turned to check on her. Beads of sweat were rolling

down from Carla's forehead.

He was so angry back then that he forgot about her injured leg and just pulled her out.

"Carla, what's wrong?"

At this time, Carla was hurting so much that she couldn't even speak. She bit her lips hard and just

silently bore the pain.

She was waiting for Noah to find out himself.

"Noah, Take me to the hospital. My leg hurts,"

She finally muttered after a couple of seconds. She couldn't take it anymore as the stinging in her leg

got unbearable.

Seeing her pale face alarmed him, Noah instantly forgot about the incident inside the gallery and took

Carla to the car.

Just when they left, a Bentley pulled over before the gallery.

"Mr. Terence, Miss Carla didn't seem well,"

informed Rainer as he watched Noah's car leaving. Terence, who was sitting at the back, furrowed his

eyebrows and put his crossed legs down.

He started to watch the video sent to his laptop.

Soon, his eyes darkened. He stroked his chin and pulled off one earphone. He ordered, "Buy all the

paintings in the gallery, Rainer. And burn them all in public."

The videotape was sent by one of his informants whom he asked to follow Carla.

"By the way, there's a showcase in the south of the gallery. Break all the trophies inside. Make sure to

break every single one."

Surprised, Rainer was speechless for a while. "But, they don't sell the trophies. How can I..."

"Use your brains! Let Nathan teach you!"

said Terence, with a deep voice.

Nathan didn't say anything but opened the door of the car. He got off and headed into the

gallery.
