Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 1459

Lindon could hardly contain his emotions. "Sir, we came to watch this historical battle after finding out that you were going up against Atrus Wood. Your victory was unbelievable."

Wilbur glanced at their faces. Elise could hardly contain her emotion, trembling from head to toe.

Carlson and Connor were looking at him respectfully, and so was Jaden, who had been nothing but rude to him before.

Wilbur spotted the blood in Elise's palms and fell silent.

He knew what these people were doing and what they had in mind at once.

Glancing at Elise, Wilbur said, "You should head back now."

The few of them were stunned, unsure of where Wilbur was referring to for them to go.

Just then, Charlie came up to Wilbur and bowed deeply to him. "Sir, I didn't even think you were going to win. This is a miracle."

Indeed, this was a battle of one man against sixty-one of them. One Emperor level cultivator, seven super Sanctuary level cultivators, and fifty-three Sanctuary level cultivators.

Winning a battle like that was unheard of to anyone, and yet, Wilbur had done it.

On top of that, he had emerged from the battle completely unharmed. The opponent, on the other hand, had lost more than half of their men including their Emperor level elite. There was no other way to describe something like that other than a miracle.

"Let's go to the Azure Castle," said Wilbur, turning to leave.

Charlie followed close behind him, and Lindon and the others scrambled to do the same.

Just then, however, Hans was trembling from head to toe as he lay on a chair in the living room of the castle.

He could hardly believe that Wilbur had beaten Atrus, and all those Sanctuary level elites too.

Hans' soul had nearly left his body when Wilbur had shown up at that dock.

Amidst his panic, he rushed back to the castle.

He did not know where else there was for him to hide. With how big Westeria was, there seemed to not be a single place where he would feel safe.noveldrama

Hans was filled with regret over what he had said.

If he had not been as eager to be on Atrus' side and wanted nothing to do with Wilbur, he would at least be fine now.

However, there was no cure for regret.

Hans did not know how he was going to face Wilbur and his own crazy father.

Right on cue, Wilbur and the others stepped into the living room.

Hans was terrified at the mere sound of the footsteps.

He got to his feet shakily, watching Wilbur sit down before him as the others stood at the back.

Charlie glared at his son. "Useless bastard."

Wilbur said nothing. Meanwhile, Lindon and the others hardly dared to utter a word.

There was no terrible punishment or crushing sentence to end him altogether. The air seemed deathly still, apart from the two words Charlie had just uttered. Hans had heard those words coming from his father countless times now and thought he would be used to it.

However, at that exact moment, they seemed to hack at his chest.

Hans felt as if his pride had been stripped off him and strewn over the floor to be stepped on mercilessly.

All he had stood for and believed in came crumbling down with those words, like a shattered mirror.
