Just as Ben finished speaking, the door of the room suddenly pushed open, and an elderly man in a suit silently walked in.

Lisa was startled, instinctively holding her daughter and hiding behind Ben.

Ben's expression also changed, but he quickly calmed down, standing up respectfully. "Respected butler, Travis, why have you come here? Does the Earl have something to instruct?"

"Yes, you're right," Travis said. The door behind him closed on its own after he entered.

Ben continued, "What is the matter that requires you to come in person?"

While Ben spoke, he gestured to Lisa to take the child and leave.

However, Travis blocked the door, leaving only the window by the bedside as the possible exit.

Lisa moved slowly towards the window with her daughter in her arms, trying not to attract Travis's attention.

However, at that moment, Travis coughed and said, "Ben, as you know, you have no hope of escape."

As soon as Travis spoke, Ben erupted with a roar, flames of spiritual energy engulfing him instantly, and a warhammer forming in his hand as he lunged towards Travis.

Ben's massive stature, powerful spiritual energy, and terrifying warhammer made him seem like a burning war chariot charging towards Travis.

In contrast, Travis's frail body appeared as insignificant as grass before a chariot. But then, Travis formed several seals with his hands, and then pulled them apart in front of him.

A barrier of light appeared.

Ben's warhammer struck the barrier fiercely, only to be rebounded forcefully.

Ben shook his head, gritting his teeth. "Why did you want to kill me?"

"When you threatened the earl, didn't you consider the consequences?" Travis frowned.

Ben clenched his teeth. "When did I threaten the earl?"

"You should know for yourself. Some things don't need to be said. You've already demonstrated that to the count today." Travis's hands continued to weave intricate gestures, and a terrifying spiritual pressure began to fill the room.

Ben roared, "Get lost!"

With that, he exerted all his spiritual energy, channeling it into his warhammer, and swung fiercely at Travis once again.

However, this time, Travis had already completed an advanced spell and pointed a finger at Ben.

Ben immediately felt as though he had turned to stone, frozen in place.

An advanced spell: Petrification.

Meanwhile, Lisa, disregarding everything, ran towards the window with her daughter.

However, in Travis's hand, a ball of flame appeared and shot directly towards Lisa.

"No!" Ben silently screamed in his heart, consumed by rage and despair.

His daughter was only three years old; he could not let her die like this. But under the Petrification spell, he could not even move a finger, no matter how hard he struggled.

He watched as the flames threatened to turn Lisa and the child to ashes.

However, in the next moment, an ice wall appeared in front of Lisa, blocking the flames.

The flames and the ice wall vanished simultaneously, and a figure appeared in the room, casually sitting at the dining table.

"Who are you?" A hint of seriousness appeared on Travis's face.

Though the ice wall was a low-level spell, summoning it effortlessly indicated that this person was no ordinary adversary.
