Just then, the man mumbled to himself, "Emperor level sure is something else."

"Oh... I'm sorry about that. I've got other things to handle, and I'll be out of here really soon. Please keep working on your cultivation! With your potential, I'm sure you'll be able to reach Emperor level even without my guidance."

Wilbur smiled, turning to leave at top speed.

He was here to settle things, not to take in pupils.

The man stared after Wilbur for a long time in a daze.

He began casting blows towards the ocean in a frenzy, making the water crash and fall like crazy.

"I promise I'll bring you back to life, my darling. I'll do whatever it takes, even if it means sacrificing myself."

"Who are you? Who on earth are you? I must find you."

The man rattled on to himself as if he had lost his mind.

Wilbur returned to the hotel, sitting down on the couch and falling into thought.

The man had been powerful to be deemed elite for sure, but there seemed to be something off about his psyche. It was truly a shame.

Jaden had a mocking expression on his face as if he was thrilled about Wilbur's misfortune.

Wilbur frowned, paying him no mind, and got up to leave.

He did not wish to interact with this guy in the slightest.

Yet Jaden blocked Wilbur's path all of a sudden, playing with the chips in his hand

as he smirked at Wilbur. "I dare you to play against me."

"Not interested," said Wilbur.

Jaden smirked. "You just don't have the balls, or you're out of money. How about I lend you some cash to book a flight back?"

Just then, Elise said, "What are you doing, Jaden?"

"Oh, nothing. We're all from the same country, aren't we? Just having a little chat

and inviting him to a game or two, what's wrong with that?" Jaden smiled.

Elise shook her head, and Wilbur frowned. "Get out of the way."

"What if I don't want to?" Jaden smirked.
