Chapter 681
Chapter 681 A Battle To Fightnoveldrama
"No!" I screamed, my voice raw with agony. The pain of being torn from Arena
was unbearable, searing through me like fire, both physically and emotionally. My soul felt as if it were being ripped apart. Breathing heavily, I fell to my knees as my vision blurred.
"Stop this right now!" I yelled, struggling against the invisible force holding me in place. But the chanting only grew louder, their dark ritual continuing without pause.
Kaelvor watched with eerie detachment, his expression almost bored. "Just a few more minutes, Selena," he said carelessly, as if my suffering was nothing more than an inconvenience. "Then you'll be free from this pain."
That evil god!
"You... you will regret this, Kaelvor," I snarled, my voice hoarse from screaming. Arena whimpered in my mind, her pain echoing mine.
Kaelvor let out a low, amused chuckle. "Ah? And who will make me regret it?" His golden eyes gleamed with cruel delight. "You?" He shook his head, lips curling into a wicked grin. "Your world will be gone in just a few hours."
His words sent ice through my veins. "You're lying!" I gasped, the pain intensifying. "Mother said we still had three days until doomsday!"
Kaelvor's smirk deepened. "You don't believe me?" His voice dripped with mockery.
Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, and a strange force rippled through the air. The towering roof above us vanished, dissolving like mist, revealing the vast expanse of the night sky. I gasped as the illusion crumbled entirely-the grand castle was never real. We weren't inside a fortress at all. Instead, I found myself standing in an open field, the cold earth beneath me, surrounded by flickering torches and swirling shadows.
The ritual was unfolding beneath the open sky.
Then, an even more terrifying sight made my breath catch. Three red moons appeared, slowly rising into view, casting a blood-red glow over the land. I gasped in shock.
"That's not possible," I whispered, my eyes wide as I stared at the unnatural phenomenon unfolding before me. For a moment, everything else—the pain, the fear, the helplessness-faded into the background. All that mattered was the impossible sight before me.
Kaelvor's voice broke through my stunned silence, dark and mocking. "That's true, Selena," he said, his tone full of satisfaction.
I turned to face him, fury surging within me. "You did this," I growled, my fists clenching. "You brought the moons here. You brought the end!"
"If not me, who else?!" Kaelvor smirked, a look of cruel amusement crossing his face. "I made it happen sooner," he announced casually, as though the fate of the world was nothing more than a game to him.
The doomsday that had been foretold for three days from now had arrived today. And Kaelvor was the one pulling the strings, the architect of this catastrophe.
Kaelvor's wicked grin deepened as he watched me struggle. "Now, it's time, Selena," he declared, his voice echoing with finality. "You must sacrifice yourself to save the world and leave Arena for good."
He raised his hand, signaling his men to intensify the ritual. Their chanting grew
louder, faster, the dark magic crackling in the air like a violent storm.
I cried out in agony as I felt Arena being pulled from me, her presence weakening with every passing second. She resisted, just as I did our souls desperately reaching for each other. But we were barely holding on-our bond was now a fragile thread, fraying at the edges, threatening to snap at any moment.
"No... Arena!" I gasped, clawing at the unseen force that was tearing us apart. She howled within me, her pain mirroring my own.
Kaelvor let out a satisfied chuckle. "You should feel honored, Selena. Few have ever witnessed such power before their demise."
But before he could take another step, the sky above us rumbled with an earth- shaking force.
"Not so soon, Kaelvor!"
The thundering voice shook the ground beneath us, and I turned my head just in time to witness a breathtaking sight.
Descending from the heavens, engulfed in blazing flames, was God Pyrrhos, the mighty god of fire. His golden armor gleamed under the eerie red moons, his eyes burning like molten lava.
Beside him, radiant yet fierce, stood Goddess Sylvara, the deity of wisdom, her presence exuding an unshakable power. Her silver robes shimmered, her gaze sharp and piercing.
And then, the air filled with divine
energy as the Moon Goddess herself appeared, her form glowing with celestial light. Her silver hair flowed like liquid moonlight, her expression unreadable yet commanding.
At her side stood, my mother, the High Priestess, draped in sacred robes, her staff humming with ancient power.
Their arrival sent a shockwave through the field, causing Kaelvor's men to falter in their chanting, fear flashing in their eyes. Even Kaelvor's smirk stiffened, his amusement fading.
A surge of hope ignited in my chest.
I wasn't alone.
And this fight was far from over.
