Mr Wallace Remington walked out of his car and took his legs to the third floor of the private hospital..

He stopped by at the reception for directions..

“Which ward is Anaya Remington admitted in…” he asked..

“Third floor, ward 115” she replied and he picked up his suitcase.

Wallace Remington is a rational business man in the United Arab Emirates but he got stucked. He’s a busy type who hardly comes on. His belief is that money can solve everything. He believed poverty made him lose his first wife. Ever since her death, he vows to make money to support her children.

This was the main reason he was away from his family for months, sometimes years. He was aware of Olivia’s disappearance, and that’s because she informed him before joining the Son’s Family. She wished she could tell Daphne but she couldn’t because she won’t let her step foot into such activities..

The man knocked on the door before he walked into the room..

“Daddy” Ariel screamed and ran into his warm embrace.

“Oh my sweet darling.. ” he said and pecked her cheeks.

“How is your arm Anaya ?” He asked and gave her a soft peck on her forehead.

“Daddy ” she called..

“yes baby” he replied with a wide smile on his lips.

“I’m worried about someone’s daddy” she mumbled almost close to tears.

“Have not seen sister Daphne and it’s unusual.”

“Mummy used to maltreat sister Daphne” Ariel chipped in..

“She what ??” He exclaimed and stared at his kids as if they suddenly grew two horns.

“Sister Daphne is the only one catering for us. She’s the one paying our school fees, clothing for us with that same money. The only thing mommy does is to buy food stuff and buy her Makeup stuff.” Anaya bursted.

“So that was the main reason she demands a lot of money from me..” he mumbled..

“Yes. I was even the one that told her to ask for more money from you because the five thousand dollars ($5000) you do send isn’t enough. That’s why we made fifteen thousand dollars ($15000). She was happy when you started changing the amount” Anaya smiled.

Mrs Wallace’s face looked shocked. It was as if he suddenly became dumb..

“But I do send your expenses fee to your mom. The $5000 I used to send to Daphne is her pocket money. ” He muttered..

“Mommy hardly gives us money, sister Daphne is the only one taking care of us. ” She chipped in..

“Wtf” he caused..

“Where is your mom ??” He asked.

“She rushed home this morning.. she said she will be back soon but we haven’t seen her till now” Anaya uttered..

“She went home right” he asked and she nodded..

“I’m gonna be back darlings.” He said and pecked their cheeks..

The door opened wide and Amy came in.

“You are back from Brazil” Mr Wallace. He was trying his best to smile but he couldn’t help it..

“Can you stay with them for a while?” He asked and she nodded quickly. She pulled out a chair and sat beside Anaya..

The sound of the door could be heard from the background.

“He’s gone” she thought and quickly moved back her gaze at Anaya who didn’t hesitate to say what she wanted to say. She had called her home line early that morning when she couldn’t get a glimpse of Daphne’s appearance.

“Have been trying Daphne’s line but it wasn’t connecting” Amy asked..

“She’s not with you” Anaya mumbled and Amy knitted his brows..

“What do you mean by that ???” She asked.

“I thought she was with you that’s why I told you to come over. I was thinking maybe she slept at your place last night but my thoughts were wrong” Anaya uttered..

“You are scaring Anaya. Where the hell is Daphne ??” She asked.

“Ariel said mommy sent her out yesterday night” Anaya mumbled. She suddenly has a powerful grasp. She held her chest and winced loudly..

Such news wasn’t for someone that has a heat problem.. This was something she has been hiding from her best friend for years. She only had a year left to live; that was her purpose for coming back. She planned to spend the remaining months with her Best Friend. She had made a jar of desire already. But now, her dreams have been shattered already.

It took minutes before she regained herself. Anaya did her best to make her back to her normal state which was successful. Despite being hurt in the arm, she still cares for everyone around her.

“Are you okay now ??” She asked and Amy nodded positively..

“Your mom sent her out yesterday day night. Despite the downpour” Amy muttered..

“Gosh it’s all my fault” she uttered and kept blaming herself.

“Did she come to your place yesterday night?” Anaya asked with a curious face.

“I’m sure because I wasn’t home yesterday night. ” She replied and heaved a sigh.

“We will look for her, ” Anaya chipped in and took her hand.

“I just hope she’s fine,” Amy mumbled.

Wallace’s mind wasn’t the same as he drove home. Anaya’s words kept hitting his head continuously…

Their words keep ringing in his head like a bell.

“If she’s not taking care of the children. Then what’s she using all the money I used to give her to do” he thought.. and drove inside the compound.

“Who owns this car ??” He asked the security that opened the gate for him.

“He ???” He uttered, to be sure of what he heard and the security nodded.

“Yes sir, the person that comes here is no gender other than a man. But he comes when your daughters are not around” he added..

“He comes whenever my daughters are not around but when my wife is around he’s always around” he asked and he security nodded.

“Thanks for your time” he appreciated and went in. Sincerely, Mr Wallace was scared of what he’s going to see. He just wants to confirm it himself.

He leaned on the wall when he saw the unexpected things… He was doubting himself but now it seems all his thoughts were true..

“Hello wifey” he muttered.. and she gasped loudly after seeing him…
