Chapter 295

Just then they heard a knock on the front door.

“Alex, please get the door,” Arianna said and Alex nodded and rushed to the door. He opened the door only to see a strange guy carrying Jessica in her arms.

“This is Colby’s mansion right?” Humphery asked and Alex nodded.

Arianna and Lucas stood up when they heard a male voice ask if this was Colby’s mansion.

“Who’s at the door, Alex?” Arianna asked as they got to the door and to their surprise they saw a strange guy holding Jessica in his arms. Jessica was unconscious.

“Oh my goodness! What happened to her?” Arianna asked as the look on her face changed at once.

“She was drunk and I brought her home” Humphrey quickly explained leaving out the part where Jeff tried taking her away.

Lucas stared at Humphrey and then carried Jessica from him.

“Uhm, I’ll be on my way now,” Humphrey said but then paused when Arianna spoke.

“What’s your name?” Arianna asked.

“Humphrey, ” he said and Arianna nodded.

“Thank you, Humphery,” Arianna said and he nodded and smiled.

“Would you love to join us for dinner tomorrow? So I can thank you properly for bringing my daughter home” Arianna said and Humphrey nodded and smiled and with that, he walked away.

Alex then closed the door.

“Did you have to invite him for dinner?” Lucas asked.

“What did you want me to do? I just want to thank him properly for bringing Jessica home safely ” Arianna said and then Lucas rolled his eyes.

“What happened to her?” Hannah and Brandon who had seen Jessica looking unconscious in Lucas’s arms asked at once with a worried look on their faces.

“She’s drunk, someone just brought her home-”

“And who brought her home?” Brandon asked.

“A strange guy whose name is Humphrey and mom invited him for dinner tomorrow. I’m sure you would see him” Lucas said and Arianna turned to him.

“Take her to her room. I’ll get some drugs and a towel” Arianna said and Lucas nodded and carried Jessica upstairs to her room.

“She’s just drunk, she’s going to be fine. She’s going through a heartbreak right now, she will be okay” Hannah said to Arianna who then nodded and walked away.

Hannah sighed and then went back to the dining table.

“Kids, it’s time to go to bed,” Hannah said and the octuplets stood up.

“Good night Daddy, ” they said to Brandon.

“Good night sweethearts,” Brandon said and smiled at the kids.

“Mommy, can I spend the night in their room?” Mellisa asked Lisa.

“Sure, if Hannah is okay with it”

“Of course I am, come along Melissa,” Hannah said as she and the kids went upstairs. Mellisa nodded and then smiled.

She rushed towards Brandon and hugged him.

“Good night Daddy,” she said and Brandon kissed her lightly on the cheeks.

“Good night honey,” he said and she smiled before going upstairs to the octuplets’ room.

Lisa sighed softly and stood up from the dining chair.

Brandon stared at her and looked away.

“Are you gonna keep avoiding me or talk to me?” Lisa muttered but Brandon didn’t say a word.

“Okay, you can keep ignoring me,” she said and he sighed and turned to her.

“I don’t know what you are planning by pretending to be friends with Hannah, but when I found out, you would be done for. Just so you know, Mellisa is the reason you are still in this house” he said and Lisa rolled her eyes and scoffed before walking away.

Meanwhile, Lucas had just dropped Jessica on her bed when Arianna walked in with a bowl of water and a towel.

She was looking so worried as she moved towards Jessica and sat beside her. She put the towel in the bowl and squeezed it then put it On her forehead.

“She’s going to be fine, you don’t have to worry much. You should go to sleep” Lucas said and Arianna turned to him and nodded.

“I’ll sleep in her room, she will need me when she wakes up,” she said and Lucas nodded and gave her one last glance before walking out of the room.

Meanwhile, Hannah who had put the kids to sleep walked out of the kid’s room, closing the door behind her.

She needed enough rest. She walked inside her room and saw it was dark.

She wondered who switched off the light. She tried locating the switch, which she finally did, after which she switched the light on.

She took a deep breath as she stared at the bright room. She then decided to go take her bath before going to sleep.

She removed her clothes and tied her towel around her chest.

She walked towards the bathroom and heard the tap running.

“Oh my goodness! Did I forget to lock your tap?” She thought to herself as she rushed inside the bathroom but then she paused and her breath seized immediately.

She opened her eyes wide with what she had just seen. Brandon standing under the shower naked, taking his bath.

She swallowed into nothing as she stared at his naked body, down from his head to his toe.

She felt her legs become jelly and couldn’t move.

Brandon on the other hand hadn’t noticed Hannah’s presence yet.

Hannah kept swallowing into nothing as she watched him standing in the shower, water streaming down his body.

He tilts his head back, water cascading over his face and down his neck.

He brushes his hair back with his hand, the wet strands sticking to his skin. The light catches the droplets of water as they fall, creating a dazzling effect.

Suddenly, he turned his face and saw Hannah staring at him. At first, he was surprised but then a smile appeared on his lips.
