Chapter 46 Don't Trust Her
Blanche didn't look up at Louis.
"Of course, I went to a place where you wouldn't be embarrassed. Wasn't that what you wanted?"
Louis was immediately rendered speechless.
Could she talk properly? He was clearly concerned about her.
"Where is this quiet place? Sam couldn't find you anywhere, and why is there a wound between your thumb and index finger?"
Louis suddenly squeezed Blanche's hand and turned it over.
Blanche withdrew her hand and said arrogantly, "You don't need to worry about it. Whatever I say, you won't believe me and will just think I'm lying."
"Go ahead and say it. What are you worried about?" Louis was a little annoyed because she didn't trust him at all.
"Alright then, I got hurt because of your cousin, Cathy. As soon as I walked into the lounge, she brought two people in to attack me. I drove them away, but they locked the door and cut off the electricity when I wasn't paying attention. I had to break the window in the dark and climb out. The injury on my hand was from the broken glass. I almost missed cutting the cake."
The lights went out, the door was locked, and the place was secluded. The door was heavy and thick. Blanche pounded on it until her hand was swollen, but no one heard her.
But she had to come out. If the banquet ended and no one found her, she would be in danger inside. In the end, she pushed the table to the air vent window in the dark, stepped on it, smashed the window, and climbed out through the narrow vent.
"Is that true?"
As soon as Louis asked, he regretted it. She didn't trust him from the beginning, and he knew that asking her would only make her more annoyed.
Sure enough, he saw Blanche coldly snort.
"Humph, I don't care whether you believe it or not, but I'm not afraid to tell you that I won't swallow the grievances. I'll retaliate immediately."
Blanche glanced at Cathy, who was frowning not far away, and spoke firmly.
On the other side, Cathy had been paying attention to Louis and Blanche.
"How did she get out? We clearly locked the door."
"Yeah, did someone open the door for her?"
Cathy gritted her teeth fiercely and left the two people beside her, walking over to Blanche and Louis.
Blanche was simply too cunning, and she couldn't teach Blanche a lesson no matter what she did.
Seeing Blanche standing next to Louis, she was so jealous.
"Louis, what were you two whispering about just now?"
Louis's face turned cold. "What did you do just now? Don't you know that this is Grandma's birthday banquet and a serious occasion?" Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Cathy had a bad feeling. She glanced at Blanche furiously and played innocent.
"I didn't do anything just now. I've been here, haven't I? What happened, Louis?"
She saw Louis's lips pursed and his face filled with anger, but he didn't say anything. She felt terrible. Blanche must have complained to Louis. What was terrifying was that Louis believed Blanche.
"Blanche, you're too vicious. You must have slandered me before Louis. Louis, don't believe her. She's a malicious woman. Don't be fooled by her."
Blanche glanced at the wound on her hand and rolled her eyes. Holding up the cake, she asked Louis, "Do you want this cake?"
"I don't eat sweets." Louis didn't like the sweet cake.
To everyone's surprise, as soon as Louis refused, Blanche threw the cake at Cathy's face.
"Blanche, have you gone crazy? Why did you throw the cake at me?" Cathy was furious with cake all over her face.
"Why? It's because you locked me in the lounge. How many wicked things have you done tonight? You have one bad idea after another. You're not tired of it, but I'm annoyed by it."
