I was having a nap at my apartment; it feels so comfortable being a man and not getting any parents drama, but I am no longer staying with them.

I already place a call to my secretary to have everything fall in place at my office while I am absent for the time being.

I keep thinking about Bella and what she would be planning to tell me tonight then my phone buzz.

I murmured before checking the caller, and I discovered it’s Brenda; why is she calling now? Why not later.

I ignored the first two calls, but she kept calling; I assumed it might be urgent, so I answered, still feeling relaxed on the bed but hearing the sound of her voice, I got terrified.

“Brenda, are you okay? What’s happening?” I got curious to know?

“It’s Miss Clara; she is about doing something to Bella; I overheard it through a maid she paid at the house.” She said, breathing heavily on the phone.

What the hell? After all my warning, she still chooses to go against it.

“Okay, calm down; what is she planning? I can still do something.”

I heard the sound of a car through the phone, then she said, “I found her sir, I will make sure no harm comes to her,”

“Brenda! Brenda! Talk to me, please.”

I grew impatient and tried calling her continuously, but she still refuses to answer the phone call; I dialled Bella’s number, but I got the same thing, she is not picking up or responding to my test.

I could feel my heart beating fast like I could explode if I don’t hear from any of them.

I got confused about what to do next as I tried racking my brain.

My phone started ringing, it was Bella, “Hey, where are you, tell me you are safe please?”

“I am at the hospital with Brenda; check your text box; I have messaged the location to your phone,” Bella said before ending the call.

I got apprehensive that I hurried in my dressing and dashed out to my car and zoomed off, heading straight in full speed to the hospital she texted me.

I could feel the sweat on my forehead; immediately I got there, I rushed in and found Bella crying out her eyes; I hugged her so close.

“I was their target, but she helped me.” She said.

“Tell me, Bella, what truly happened and where is Brenda?” I focused on her eyes to get everything happening.

Some strange men with a black Venza car threw acid in the form of an egg, but Brenda pushed me off, and it ruined her face, but the doctor said, she is damn lucky to be alive.” She said, still crying and trying to breathe.

I got shocked at it; Clara could go such a length because of me; she thinks I will love her after trying to hurt Bella? I won’t let this slide; I will send her to jail.

I placed a call to the police sheriff and told him to investigate and told him my suspect is Clara, if possible, tap on her line, and he told me to give him days, he will find out everything.

“Thank you, Kyle; let’s go in to see her.”

“Anytime, my love.”

I excused myself in picking Lisa call, “Bella, I got your message; how is Brenda now?”

“She is in bad shape, but I am glad she is not dead but alive,” I replied.

“That’s good news too; whoever did this will face the wrath of God. Bella, the police finally arrested the Killer, the person who killed my grandma and attempted to kill me.” She said over the phone.

“Wow, finally, I wish I can devour the person for killing grandma I love so much, so tell me who is the person, and why will he or she do that against you?” I asked.

“It’s Jordan; reports say she has a mental illness and was confusing Theo as Timothy, her ex-lover that died in a car crash and never accepted it; I can’t even narrate it, but I am happy she is locked. Up; she deserves to be killed.”

“This is unexpected; see you soon, girlfriend, at your grandma funeral.”

I ended the call and told Kyle about it, and he said, “Fearsome desperate ladies.”

“Kyle, I will need to go home and get few things; I love to stay with Brenda at the hospital; what I wanted to tell you can wait, okay?”

“No problem, love, should I take you home?” He asked.

“Nah, I will use a taxi; stay with her till I return.” I hugged him before leaving.

The taxi finally brought me home, I stepped in, greeting mom and dad, but Joanna wasn’t there.

I got surprised to see some strange men in the house all looking at me in rage.

“Sister should I say I am a bit disappointed; I expected her to look less good and suffering, but look what I found she is dating a billionaire and getting close to the family she is not supposed to.”

I couldn’t understand what he means and why he called my mom sister.

“Bella gets on your knees,” mom commanded, and I obeyed immediately, shivering.

Before I could say a word, mom bounced on me, slapping me around and using some weapons to beat the hell out of me even when I started bleeding blood.

All she kept saying was,” Your family killed my first fruit, and I will make them continue to feel pain.”

“Sister enough, Oscar, finish the job you should have done a long time, kill her now, and we dump her body.”

What is happening? I was losing strength and bleeding; have they mistaken me for someone else?

He keeps calling my mom sister, and now he calls my dad by his name, telling him to kill me; I know dad won’t, right?

Dad walked to me with coldness in his eyes; I think I guessed wrong this time around; he will do it. Dad crossed me, gripping my neck to strangle me, I kept struggling, but I couldn’t; no one wants to help; my eyes were closing, I am close to death.
