When we stepped over the border, I started to relax. Being in Alpha Carlos territory always made my skin crawl. Especially when I learned who my birth parents were, yes the people I told were my parents was not really that. After I got older I was given a key to a safety box, where I found documentation about everything.

No, I was not kidnapped, not in that sense, anyway. The woman I thought was my mom had been my nanny when I was born and when my parents were killed. She fled with me and somehow managed to convince my parents' killer I was her son. She saved my life.

When I first learned about this, I was furious. I wanted revenge, and I went to get it. But when I got there, I posed as a stray wolf, and when he said I was a good fighter, they trained me. I became stronger and better, but I also found out I could not get close enough to kill him. Not without getting killed myself, so I left and didn't look back.

Yes, my father was Alpha Antonio, the Alpha of the North Mid territory. He was killed by Alpha Carlos in cold blood, for nothing more than revenge that my mom chose my dad. I am by birthright an Alpha, but I do not want to be an Alpha, even less now that I have found Rose.

I started to give up on finding my mate, and because of that, I enjoyed the company of other women. I regret it now, but I can not undo it. But I can devote the rest of my life to her, and I will.

She amazes me, even without a wolf. She is brave and fearless, but she also has a good heart. And I am proud to be her mate. And if it means letting go of the past, then I will. I will go to America with her, and I will start my life with her. A new beginning.

We found a hotel, and I was about to order a room with two beds, but Rose stopped me and said one bed.

"I'd like to sleep next to you if that's okay," she whispers, and I smile.

"Of course it is," I tell her, pulling her close to me.

In the room, we sat down and looked at the map she showed me the towns, that were marked as wolf towns.

"I have a suggestion. We can go to Terni and find a good place to stay. It is within Alpha Alexander's territory. And I can go far fast in my wolf form, search the towns for your mother. Come back every night until I find her. And then I can bring you to her. It will go faster." I suggest and hold her close in my arms.

"It is not a bad idea, I have a picture of her. But don't ask too many questions if she hears, she might run." She says.

"Don't worry, I won't, you will get a chance to get answers," I promise her.

We sit here for a long time, and after a while I can hear her breathing calmly, and she has fallen asleep in my arms.

ROSE

When I wake up, I feel Enzo's arms around me still, and I hear the faint sound of his breathing, telling me he is sleeping. I carefully move his arms and get out of bed and I find my phone and open my family chat and see that they all have been writing.

>> Hey guys, I am sorry. I have been traveling, almost without stopping so that I could get out of the mid territory. << I Write and wait for an answer.

>> Are you safe, princess? << Dad answers right away.

>> Yes, I am safe. Enzo found a way to get us out and into Alpha Alexander's territory. We will get there tomorrow. Right now, we are between the territories in a human town. <<

>> Okay, sweetheart. Talk soon, love you. << Mom writes.

>> Be safe. Love you, princess. << Dad says.

>> I will. Thank you. Love you too. << I answer and close that chat.

After closing the chat, I quietly left the room and went to find some food. I walked down the streets, and

it is obvious that this town was a

human town. After walking for a

while, found a place selling pizzles

which looked better than any pizza I had seen. So I ordered a large one and two colas and went back to the hotel. I sat outside the restaurant, enjoying the peace and quiet.

The charming, small Italian human woman serving inside came outside and told

me my pizza was ready. I paid for the food and started walking back to the hotel.
