Chapter 476: Coffey Is Smart. He Won't Die!

Lily doesn't know what Chloe is dreaming about. But she cries so hard that Lily feels bad for her.

After crying for a while, Chloe gradually calms down.

When she opens her eyes and sees Lily, she thinks that she is still in her dream. Chloe rubs her eyes

and asks, "Lily, what are you doing here? Why don't you wake me up?"

She just cried, and her voice turns hoarse.

Lily wipes her tears and asks softly, "What's wrong? Why are you crying in your sleep?"

"I don't know." Chloe sits up from the bed and frowns as she tries to think back. "I dreamed of a man.

He said that he has graduated and wanted to marry me, but I couldn't see his face."

"That's so weird. I said yes. Then we went to pick the wedding dresses and rings. We planned to get

married in the church. But when we stood in front of the priest, he said he had something to do and left

me there."

"I didn't know why, but I felt very sad and depressed. I was afraid that he wouldn't come back. So, I ran

after him in the wedding dress. But no matter how loud I was, he never turned around."

As Chloe speaks, sadness sweeps over her.

She burst into tears again.

As she wipes away her tears, she says, "I was so sad that I couldn't stop crying. Lily, why couldn't I see

his face? Why did I cry?"

Chloe doesn't know who that man is, but Lily does.

Chloe is hypnotized. But Coffey is still in her mind, and she thinks of him from time to time.

She must love him very much to have such a dream.

"Dreams are the opposite of reality, you silly girl. Don't think too much." Lily smiles and comforts Chloe,

"I guess the man in your dream must love you very much. Maybe he will come to you one day."

Chloe still frowns and looks puzzled. "He said that he would marry me after graduation. So, he's

younger than me. Is he ugly? Should I be gentler to him in the future?"

"No." Lily assures her, "He is very handsome and responsible. He will dote on you and protect you."

Chloe is surprised. "Lily, you know the man in my dream?"

"Yeah."

"Really?" Chloe leans over and asks, "When will he come back?"

Lily smiles. "He's very busy now. It'll take a while. Alright, get changed and come out for dinner."

"Alright."

Chloe breathes a sigh of regret.

This is the first time she has cried so much for someone in her dream. She didn't even see his face.

She doesn't even know when she'll meet him.

After Chloe gets changed and comes out, Lily points at Chandler and introduces them to each other.

"He's Daniel's son?" Chloe rubs Chandler's face. She simply couldn't believe it. "I thought Daniel is gay.

I never expect that he has such a big child."

Chandler is a little unhappy. "Chloe, you can't talk nonsense even though you're beautiful. Did my

father tell you that he's gay? Don't put labels on him."

"But he doesn't have a girlfriend, and he's mean to me." Chloe pouts. "I give him a polite hug, and he

throws me out."

"That means my father loves himself! The world is too dangerous for a man. He has to protect himself."

Chloe puts her hands on her waist and stares at Chandler. "Hey, what do you mean?"

"Nothing." Chandler looks innocent. "You think I'm talking about you?"

"Boy, you are going to get a hit!" Chloe shouts angrily and stretches her arm to pinch his face.

Chandler dodges quickly.

They chase after each other around the dining table, making loud noises.

Lily comes out of the kitchen and asks them to have dinner. But they keep running. So, Lily pulls them

and slaps them on the forehead. Finally, they sit down and begin to eat.

Chloe bites her chopsticks and mutters, "Lily is so violent. She can't get married forever."

Chandler nods.

He wants to say something, but Lily glares at him. "What are you doing? You don't want your wife

anymore, do you?"

Chandler is threatened, so he silently lowers his head and focuses on eating.

Suddenly, a phone rings in the living room.

It sounds like Lily's phone. It might be an important phone call, so she pushes away her chair and

walks to the living room.

She sees the caller ID when she picks it up.

It's Victor.

"What happened?" Lily asks nervously, "John is not feeling well?"

"No." Victor pauses for a long time before saying, "Satsuki Oguri is dead."

Lily is astonished by such shocking news. "But she worked for Jonathan. Who would attack Jonathan's

people?"

"It's your brother, Coffey."

"Three days ago, Coffey returned to Country Y." Victor replies, "He has been stalking Jonathan. He

wanted to kill Jonathan at the charity party last night. But Satsuki pounced on Jonathan. The bullet hit

"Where's Coffey? Did he get away?" Lily is anxious and holds her phone tightly.

"He's dead."

Lily's mind goes blank. She could not hear anything.

had a tight defense." Victor sighs on the other side.

"Coffey managed to escape, but he was caught by Jonathan's men soon. They brought his body back.

Victor says, "Mr. John is worried about you. So, he sent people to protect you a long time ago. They

found that you often go to Miss Chloe's place. So, they thought that you lived there and put a bug in the

living room."

"Am I a criminal? Do you have to spy on me like this?" Lily says in a cold tone.

"Don't worry, Ms. Lily. I've had words with them. They have removed the bugs." Victor says, "They just

put them there for two days. I can send you all the audio files."

"That's all?"
