Chapter 1235
#Seeing Rosalie's face immediately turn red, Blake wanted to tease her more.
"You know, I think people who like fairy tales are usually nice. You're an adorable person so why do you keep pretending to be cold?' He found this contrast in her very appealing.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
"I'm not adorable." Rosalie was reminded of bad memories when he called her 'adorable'. Her face went blank, and she quickly walked over, grabbed the book, and threw it in the trash. 'I don't like fairy tales. That book's old. I just never got rid of it."
She then gave him a look that he couldn't quite figure out. 'Get some sleep, good night."
She turned off the lights as she left.
The room was now dark, and Blake lay awake, thinking. Rosalie's reaction made him wonder if something bad had happened to her before.
The next morning, Rosalie looked really pale, and Blake was worried that something might have happened overnight.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. My stomach just hurts." Rosalie held her belly, looking really unwell. "I can't make breakfast today. There's some bread you can eat."
Seeing her in pain, Blake lifted her from the couch. 'Don't worry about me," he said, feeling a mix of annoyance and concern. 'I won't starve."
He carried her to his room.
"What are you doing? I want to go back to my room," Rosalie said, trying to get away, but he kept her close.
"If you're in your room and something happens, how will I know? You never ask for help. Blake thought he should be more attentive. Given Rosalie's usual independence, he wouldn't know if she needed help otherwise.
Being in his arms, she felt oddly comforted by his scent.
"Why does your stomach hurt? Do you have any medicine?'
Rosalie hesitated before shaking her head. 'I'm okay. I just need to rest."
"Tell me what's going on," Blake insisted, looking worried.
"It's... my period," Rosalie finally admitted after a pause.
Blake finally understood and softened his voice. "If that's the case, I'm not worried anymore." He then remembered something and tucked her in. "Rest here. I'll be back in a bit."
Rosalie wanted to say something, but he was already gone.
Ten minutes later, Rosalie heard footsteps coming back to the door. Despite her bad cramps, her hearing was sharp. She heard Blake on the phone, sounding impatient.
"I'm not going to go online. It's just a stupid game. I'm making tea."
Tea? The thought unexpectedly warmed Rosalie's heart.
