Chapter 470
Chapter 470
Skylar could see that Coralie's expression was not great. He knew that she had misunderstood the
contents of the agreement.
After signing the agreement, Coralie put down the pen while hiding her disappointment and said, "Let's
eat."
Her legs were swollen so badly that she could only walk slowly. She wanted to get up, but Skylar
stopped her and pulled her back to her seat. "Don't you want to take a look at the contents?"
"It's unnecessary. I trust you." Coralie looked at Skylar and gave him an affirmative smile.
She trusted him, but she didn't expect that they would have to sign such an agreement too.
"Just take a look at what's written in it if you trust me."
Skylar hugged Coralie in his arms and allowed her to sit on his lap. After that, he placed the agreement
in front of her. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"No. Regardless of signing this agreement or not, if we ever get a divorce, I will leave with nothing."
Coralie lowered her head and touched her belly. "That's because I know everything that I have now is
because of you. Without you, I am just an ordinary woman, so I won't take anything. Don't worry."
"What a coincidence. We're having the same thoughts."
"Yeah, I know," Coralie thought he was agreeing with her.
Skylar turned to a certain page on the agreement and showed it to Coralie. She took a glance at it
casually and saw a statement that was pretty obvious.
'By execution of this divorce agreement, if both parties were to get a divorce, regardless of the reason,
all sole and exclusive property owned by the Husband will be transferred to the Wife.'
"Huh..." Coralie looked at Skylar in shock.
"Initially, I had asked Marcellus to write that if I was to cheat, I would not receive anything. However, I
was worried that you wouldn't be at ease, so I changed it to this one." Skylar kissed Coralie on her
head.
"There's no one who would sign a premarital agreement like this!"
"I don't care. I have no intention of letting you go, anyway."
Skylar stated confidently.
"But you are too irresponsible. What if you cheated, but you refuse to divorce in future?"
"Oh yes, you are very thoughtful. I'll ask Marcellus to add one more clause. If I cheat on you during
marriage, all the property will be yours." Skylar felt that Coralie's words were very reasonable.
Coralie snatched the agreement from Skylar and looked at it carefully. She was confused as she
asked, "Are there any restrictions for me written in this agreement?"
"Yes, it does. You have to marry me," Skylar replied as if it was a matter of cause.
"What about the others?"
"That's all."
"That's all? Then what's the point of signing this? Why don't we just forget about it?"
Coralie didn't know what was on Skylar's mind. He didn't have to sign this to restrain himself at all. She
thought that this was totally unnecessary.
Skylar took the agreement from her hand and signed on the last page. After that, he explained, "I can
see that what Evelyn said a few days ago had an impact on you. However, I have confidence in myself,
so I signed this with you."
So it was because of that.
"Well then, let it be that whoever cheats will not receive anything. Otherwise, everyone will think that
I'm taking advantage of you."
As Coralie spoke, she tried to modify the agreement, but Skylar snatched it from her.
"Alright, that's it. We won't divorce anyway." Skylar took the agreement with him and went to sit at the
table. "Let's eat. My daughter said that she was hungry."
Skylar and Coralie had signed the premarital agreement, while Anthony and Evelyn had also signed
their agreement too.
Anthony then sent the premarital agreement over to the Skyton Corporation.
It had been many years since Anthony last visited Skyton Corporation. The moment he entered, he
realized that the company had changed and improved a lot with Skylar's effort.
Lorraine waited for Anthony downstairs and brought him to the president's office on the top floor.
Anthony went straight into the office.
"Have you signed it?" Skylar asked.
"Yes, it's done."
Skylar was a little surprised when Anthony said that he had signed the agreement. He thought that it
would be tough to get Evelyn to sign this based on her personality.
"Did she throw a tantrum to stop you from signing it?"
"She didn't. I just tried to talk to her, and then she agreed to sign it."
Anthony used to be a man of his words in front of Skylar, but now he felt extremely ashamed before
him, all because of Evelyn.
This time, if Anthony allowed himself to be restrained by Evelyn, he would feel even more
embarrassed.
Skylar took over the agreement and looked at it. As expected, Evelyn signed it and the paper looked
smooth. There were no traces of thrashing. Skylar knew that something must be going on.
Skylar scanned the agreement by using a scanner to keep a copy for himself. While scanning, he
asked, "Dad, you must have promised Evelyn something to get her signature on this?"
"I've promised her some gold bars." If he didn't promise anything, everyone knew that Evelyn would
never have signed the contract.
"That's it?" Skylar didn't buy it. "Speaking of which, since I'm your biological son, if your company falls
into my hands in the future, of course I will manage it well in the long term. However, if it falls into the
hands of an outsider, then that's not necessarily the case."
I agree.
"You don't want your life's work to go to waste, do you?"
There was actually a hidden meaning in Skylar's words.
Even if he signed the contract, if Anthony found out that he was feeling ill and transferred his property
in advance, the contract would be invalid.
"You don't have to worry about that. I am clear-cut on my relationship with Evelyn." Anthony had initially
only treated Evelyn as a companion, but he didn't expect that he would not be able to control his own
feelings after sometime.
He actually had the intention to marry her.
Now that the agreement had been scanned, Skylar didn't want to bother with the matters regarding
Anthony and Evelyn anymore. All he wanted to do was to calm Lillian down.
Skylar passed over the original copy of the premarital agreement, and another divorce agreement that
Lillian had signed over to Anthony. "That is all, Dad. From now on, you're on your own. I'll leave it to
you. I wish you happiness in the future, and well, I'm not sending you off."
Anthony opened the divorce agreement and looked for the compensation fees after divorce. He made
sure that it was reasonable before keeping the document away.
"You and Coralie will get married when the child is born, right?"
"Yes."
"I'll be heading back to my country in a few days so I won't be attending your wedding." Anthony took
out an envelope from his pocket and said, "This is something for your kids. It's some education fund for
my grandson and granddaughter."
Needless to say, there must be a cheque in the envelope.
"Thank you." Skylar did not lack any money, but there was no reason for him to reject Anthony's offer.
Anthony didn't leave until he gave Skylar the gift and took the things that he needed.
A week later, the designer brought in a few sets of traditional wedding costumes with different designs
for Coralie and Skylar.
Each set was mainly made of intricate embroidered elements, which carried meanings of a happily
married and blessed couple.
Coralie also did not understand these things. The designer tried to explain the differences in the gown
in detail to her as much as possible. However, she just chose one of them based on her gut feeling and
her preference, and let the designers do their job.
