You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 461

Chapter 461

"Is she ill?"

Xenia could only see Amelia's back through the window, but she did not believe that she was the same

as those patients.

"Her condition is unstable. When she's mentally stable, she's not much different from a normal person,"

the doctor explained.

"Then how can I make sure if she is really ill?"

Xenia still believed that Amelia was normal and all of this was a scheme that had been planned by the

Rae family to help her absolve her crime.

"Well..."

"Why don't you let me in? I'll have a chat with her."

If Amelia was faking this, then she would easily expose it.

"No, her condition is very unstable. That's why she's locked up here." Sawyer quickly stopped Xenia

when he heard that she wanted to go in.

Hector had given an order, which was to assure his relationship with Xenia no matter what.

If something was to happen to Xenia, then the relationship between the Rae family and the Lowell

Group would be over.

"She hit my husband, and now you would only show me her back. I can't even identify whether this

person is Amelia, and now you want to send me away?"

Xenia crossed her arms in front of her chest; displeasure was written across her face.

How could she allow this matter to be settled like this?

"Then, I'll ask her to turn over." Sawyer thought that it was quite a simple and easy task if Xenia only

wanted to confirm Amelia's identity.

Xenia scanned the ward carefully, only to find a small camera at the corner of the window. She

immediately said, "I want to see the recordings of her having an episode."

"Recordings?"

"Yes."

Sawyer looked over and saw a camera on the window, and this was something that he did not notice

before.

"Can we watch it?" Sawyer asked the doctor after seeing the camera.

In fact, Amelia's sickness was not fake at all.

If watching a video could persuade Xenia, then it would make his life so much easier.

When the doctor heard that they wanted to see the videos, he felt much more relieved and replied,

"Yes, sure, I'll ask the security department to look for it."

"Well, that's fine with me."

Harvey was also afraid that Xenia would enter. If Amelia really was mentally ill, then she would not be

considerate when she attacked the people around her.

He was worried that if he didn't protect Xenia well, she would be hurt again.

At this moment, the doctor took out his phone and dialed a number. After a few words, he took Xenia

and the others back to the first floor, and then had another young doctor lead them to watch the

recorded videos.

The main monitoring administrator was located in a warehouse in the basement.

The upper floors were clean, but the basement floor was very messy, with old iron beds, mattresses,

cabinets, clothes racks, and many other things piled up in a long and narrow corridor.

The young doctor led them all the way to an iron door, where he took out the key and opened the door.

When the door was opened, Xenia saw a faint but blinking light in this pitch- black warehouse. She

noticed that that was the monitoring administrator.

"Here it is."

The young doctor said as he searched for the switches on the wall.

With a buzz, the lights were all lit up and Xenia could finally see the entire warehouse.

"It's really messy over here."

Xenia looked around. She didn't expect that there would be such a place in the hospital. It looked like a

basement that no one had entered for more than a decade, and it looked as if they could have a

treasure hunt in there.

"We don't have a choice. The warehouse was supposed to be handled by someone else, but we barely

had any visitorsand we're lacking manpower. Thus there is nobody that has the time to take care of this

place," the young doctor answered with a helpless face.

While he was talking, he walked to the monitor and started to look for the video. He clicked into the

application and asked the other doctor, "When was the last date and time this patient had an episode?"

"I think the last time was around two days ago? It was around three o'clock in the morning."

Upon hearing this, the young doctor pulled up the video from the afternoon of two days ago, and he

fast forwarded it from Sam onwards.

Xenia stood at the side as she watched the video. At first, Amelia, who was sleeping peacefully at night

suddenly sat up from the bed and began to go crazy. She even hit her head on the wall. It was a very

serious, selfdestructive action, and she kept knocking on the door with her hands.

After a while, the doctor came in and tied her to the bed, forced medicine into her mouth and stuffed

something into her mouth to prevent her from biting off her tongue to commit suicide.

Amelia had been tied up like this until the next morning before she was finally calm.

"That's about it." When the video was about to finish, the doctor turned to Xenia and asked, "Do you

wish to see previous videos?"

"I think I'm fine."

Xenia felt a little uncomfortable after watching the video. Even if she had disliked Amelia at first, she

had this strange, disturbing feeling in her heart.

Sawyer heaved a sigh of relief when Xenia said that she did not want to continue watching, and

thanked the two doctors before saying, "Let's go up and have a talk."

"Alright."

Xenia nodded.

They left the hospital and Sawyer was following Harvey and Xenia all the way to their car before he

asked, "Mrs. Felton, this is the agreement from last time. Would you consider having a look?"

His intention was obvious. Settle this matter by compensation and everything would be in the past

tense.

Xenia looked at the envelope in Sawyer's hand, hesitated and said, "I'll take a look at it."

After that, she opened the door and got in the car.

"Thank you."

Harvey thanked Sawyer and got in the car too.

They drove towards the direction of the city. After about an hour on the road, Harvey broke the silence

and said, "Amelia's sickness was very similar to Valerie's situation last time."

"When was that? Valerie had a mental disorder? How come I didn't know about that?"

Xenia slowed down the car instinctively while she heard this. She sounded a little mocking. Who would

believe that Valerie, who was a perfectionist, had suffered from a mental disorder before?

Harvey looked out from the car and said, "When Valerie broke her leg during the car accident, she

suffered from a mental disorder after that. Amelia even knelt down to Skylar to force him to marry

Valerie." Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Was that what happened? I did not know Amelia had such capabilities last time!"

Xenia actually knew of this incident, but she didn't have any detailed information about it, as she was

not in close contact with Coralie at that time.

"Yes, but I have always thought Valerie was actually faking it. However, after seeing Amelia's

symptoms today, I was wondering if their family has...."

"An inherited mental disorder?" Xenia continued without waiting for Harvey to finish his sentence.

"Yes, but I'm not an expert in this field so I can't tell."

"I think it is very unlikely. How could a car accident trigger her mental illness?" Xenia shook her head as

she didn't believe it. "I don't believe that Amelia hasn't encountered anything worse than this in her life.

And according to what you said, Valerie was also having a mental illness too back then, so it's possible

that the both of them were faking it."

Harvey could not provide a conclusion for this.

He picked up the file that Xenia left on the side and read it. In the envelope was the list of

compensations suggested by the Rae family, and he asked, "How do you plan to deal with this?"
