You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 320

Chapter 320

The next day, Wayne reported to the club, and he gave Jamie live updates on his way there.

Melvin's full name was Melvin Hoffman. He was two years older than Jamie and three years older than

Wayne. However, since he took a gap year from his studies to become an online streamer, he

remained a student for an extra year.

Melvin's game team was based at a villa in the suburbs. Including Melvin, there were six of them in

total. The team lived and trained in the villa. They hired a maid to cook for them daily and to clean the

house once a week.

Wayne would be the seventh person in the team.

Even so, Wayne was still very happy.

After his visit to Melvin's team, Wayne set his official start date to the following week. In the meantime,

he planned to accompany Hera for a bit, before moving in with Melvin.

The night before Wayne moved to Melvin's place, Queenie visited the Chariott family's house.

When Coralie opened the door and saw Queenie standing outside, she was a little taken aback. She

said, "Auntie Holland, why didn't you tell us you were coming over?"

"Why should I have to tell you? You won't open the door for me if I told you."

There was an ugly expression on Queenie's face.

Coralie didn't want to argue with her, so she stepped aside to let her in.

As Queenie entered the Chariott family's house, she stood in the living room and looked at the simple

decor and basic furniture adorning the place. She couldn't hide the look of disdain on her face.

"Please take a seat, Auntie Holland."

Coralie quickly gestured Queenie towards the sofa.

They had just finished dinner, and Hera was doing the dishes while Wayne accompanied Hendric in his

room, watching cartoons.

Heading the door open, they went out to greet the guest.

Wayne froze at the sight of Queenie as he asked nervously, "Auntie, why are you here?"

"Hmph, I'm here to talk to your family about something."

Seeing Wayne in cartoon print sweats, Queenie thought him to be immature.

Bitterly, she forbade her daughter from marrying this man in her heart.

"Hello, grandma."

Hendric, who was standing next to Wayne, didn't know what Queenie was doing here. Seeing Wayne

treating her with such respect, he greeted her politely as well..

"This child is..."

It was only then that Queenie noticed Hendric next to Wayne.

She gazed at Hendric, and the child blinked his beautiful big eyes at her; he had the purest of smiles.

Queenie, as Skylar's aunt, watched over Skylar as he grew up. The Hendric she saw before her now

was an exact copy of Skylar as a child.

Immediately, she looked depressed.

"This is Skylar's child." Coralie offered an explanation.

Coralie didn't want to hide it from her either.

"What! When did you and Skylar have such a big child? Why didn't I know anything about it?"

Queenie asked in shock.

Ever since the death of Grandmother Holland, the glue that held the Holland family together

disappeared as they all went their own separate ways. However, she would occasionally check in on

Skylar, and she had never seen him with this child.

However, the child was just too similar to Skylar. It was hard for her to deny that it was his child.

"Well, we had him back then."

Of course, there was no need to explain her relationship with Skylar to Queenie.

Although Queenie belittled Wayne, and disapproved of Wayne's relationship with Jamie, even if it was

for Jamie's sake, Coralie had no reason to have a good impression of Queenie.

"Does Skylar know of the child's existence? You're hiding a Holland family child without telling him

about it, am I right?" Queenie shouted angrily at Coralie.

She was unaware that Coralie had gotten back together with Skylar.

She thought that the couple were still separated.

"Auntie Holland, earlier, you said you have something to say to our family. If you have something to

say, please do so."

Coralie dodged her question, and countered with asking about her intentions.

As for what happened between Coralie and Skylar, there was no need for Queenie to know.

It was only then that Queenie remembered the purpose of her visit

"I just came here to tell Wayne that if you decide to join that club, I will never agree to your relationship

with my daughter!"

Queenie said bluntly.

Wayne paused for a moment and immediately said, "Auntie, there's no difference in status in different

occupations. Electronic gaming has already gained a place in the world nowadays, and e-sports are

about to be included in the 2020 Olympic Games..."

"So what?" Queenie interrupted Wayne bluntly. "Why should my daughter marry a man who spends all

his time playing games? Haha, you think you can have your way when you're only playing games? You

gave up on your career for a life of gaming. What makes you think you have the right to talk back to

me?"

Queenie didn't know much about e-sports. In her eyes, this was just playing games.

"Auntie, I'm not playing games. I'm doing tactical analysis."

"Tactical analysis? How is that different from playing games?"

"No, Auntie, it's different. I'm also working with a good team. As long as our performance is up to par,

the rewards would be no lower than any ordinary job. What's more, the tactical analysis is not limited to

just games. In the future, it can be..."

"Enough of that!" Queenie interrupted Wayne once again. "Don't speak of such a useless job in front of

me. My daughter can afford to enjoy gaming because my family is rich and we can support her. How

about you? If you don't earn any achievements in this team, what are you going to do then?"

"I... " Wayne stammered.

"You have nothing to say, do you?" As Queenie said that, she looked at Wayne, and then at Coralie

again.

Hera remained in the kitchen. She knew that it was not the right time for her to go out because her

heart was still weak, hence, she stayed put.

Queenie was not acquainted with Hera at all. She angrily continued, "Wayne, are you going to depend Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

on Jamie to provide for you if you fail in this field? Your parents must have brought you up poorly,

teaching you only to seduce rich kids."

"Auntie Holland!" Coralie couldn't stand it anymore. "I'm calling you Auntie Holland not because you are

Skylar's aunt, but because my younger brother is in love with your daughter. If Wayne wasn't in love

with Jamie, you wouldn't even be welcome here, let alone be allowed to speak here!"

Coralie was not a pushover. She had put up with Queenie for the sake of Wayne and Jamie. As

Queenie started insulting their parents, she lost it.

"What did I do wrong? Did I ask your brother to like my daughter? Do you think I wanted to come to a

shabby house like yours? All your furniture put together is still cheaper than a single chandelier in my

living room!"

As the matriarch of the George family, how could Queenie bear to be scolded by a poor girl like

Coralie?

"Auntie, the reason I am standing here today is all thanks to you," Wayne said.

Although he was unsure whether Queenie was the culprit behind the incident, he still decided to test

her. With his humble and low-key identity, who else would even want to target him?
