You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 281

Chapter 281

Coralie kept staring in the direction where Yohan had fallen into the water because she was afraid that

she would forget the location.

However, the hot air balloon landed on the shore far away from Yohan.

As soon as it touched the surface of the ground, Coralie immediately opened the door and jumped out

of the hot air balloon.

The wedding gown was specially customized for her by Yohan. The dress was very big and heavy, and

she could hardly drag it along.

On the empty shore, there was not a single person in sight, not even anyone swimming.

"Is there anyone here?" Coralie asked.

Coralie couldn't take off her wedding gown because the linings had all been used to bandage Yohan's

wound. If she took the dress off, there wouldn't even be a bra inside, just nipple covers.

Coralie was shouting all around. She dragged her heavy dress and was struggling to walk on the

uneven rocks.

At this moment, she just wanted to find someone who would be able to save Yohan as soon as

possible.

However, the more she walked, the dizzier she felt.

She bit her lips hard and warned herself that she couldn't faint or fall. Otherwise, Yohan would definitely

die.

She was the only one who knew where Yohan was.

Coralie kept walking using the rocks to guide herself. She didn't know how long she had walked and

the skin on her soles were already worn off. Her vision had also turned from colourful to monochrome.

However, she continued to walk forward.

Until her vision completely went pitch black...

......

Later on, Coralie woke up.

She realized that she was lying in a bed with a warm comforter over her.

Looking at the colorful quilt on her, the first thing that came to her mind was, "Yohan!"

Coralie had almost fully recovered after this rest. When she got out of bed, she noticed that she was

wearing loose pyjamas.

"You're awake?" A voice sounded.

It was from an old lady with blond hair and blue eyes, Mrs. Hodge.

"Hello, may I ask..." Coralie responded.

"I found you by the roadside. What happened to you? Did something happen at the wedding?" Mrs.

Hodge asked.

"Hi, my friend has fallen into the sea. He's going to drown. I beg you, I beg you to bring me to save

him!" Coralie pleaded.

When Coralie saw the grandmother, her first thought was to save Yohan.

She never thought of how long she had been unconscious.

She was just thinking that even if Yohan had harmed Hendric, he should be punished by the law but he

should not drown in the sea this way.

"Well, I saved you yesterday. Don't you think it's too late for you to go looking for your friend today?"

Mrs. Hodge understood what Coralie wanted to do and looked concerned.

It wasn't that she didn't want to help Coralie, but one day had passed and who could survive in the sea

for a day?

"Yesterday..." Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Coralie was caught up in her thoughts.

She just realized that she had fainted for such a long time.

She had even slept until the next day!

"Yes, why don't I ask my husband to take you out to sea and have a look?" Mrs. Hodge suggested.

"Ok, that's great!" Coralie was delighted.

In a town by the beach like theirs, it was normal for them to have a boat or a speedboat.

Mrs. Hodge called her husband over. Mr. Hodge was a bald old man and seemed to be in his

seventies, but he looked strong and fit.

Mr. Hodge drove the speedboat and brought Coralie out to sea.

However, Coralie was pretty dizzy the day before. Moreover, there was no landmark on the sea so

everything looked almost the same. She couldn't recall the exact location where Yohan fell into the

water at all.

They could only search around in a wide radius.

Mr. Hodge accompanied Coralie to look around the sea for an hour, but they didn't find anything. After

that, he kindly said, "Little girl, no one will be able to float on the water for a whole night and it is

impossible to float at the same place for the whole night as well."

"Then... Will he be washed to shore and rescued by someone?"

Coralie asked, full of hope.

She felt deeply guilty over Yohan.

Although some things were caused by Yohan, in the end, he still chose to save her.

"That's also possible," Mr. Hodge replied.

Actually, there was a higher possibility of being washed away further out in the sea and only a very

small chance of being washed to shore.

However, Mr. Hodge had to agree with Coralie as he was afraid that she would be sad.

"Then let's go to the shore and look for him! Is that okay?"

There was still a glimmer of hope in Coralie's heart.

"Alright," Mr. Hodge agreed.

He drove his speedboat all the way to the shore.

It was the place where Yohan mentioned that they were supposed to get onshore.

The wedding bouquet and red carpet were still there. No one took them away, except for the balloons

which flew away; some of them were hanging low as the gas had leaked out.

Even so, Coralie could still appreciate Yohan's efforts in terms of preparation.

"Was this for your wedding?" Mr. Hodge asked.

He remembered that Coralie was wearing a wedding dress the day before.

"Yes..."

Coralie replied.

"What happened?" He asked again.

"Well..."

Coralie didn't know where to start in telling Mr. Hodge the story.

The story about Yohan and her was too long to be summarized in a few sentences.

When she tried to recall, there was actually nothing that she could say.

Mr. Hodge noticed that Coralie was having difficulty answering, therefore he didn't want to force her. He

said, "You can look for him here. Judging by the direction of yesterday's wind, it's likely that he will be

washed to this shore."

"Ok," Coralie responded.

This shore wasn't like other beaches. It was all full of rocks of different shapes and sizes. It wouldn't be

easy to notice if there was anyone lying in between these rocks.

Coralie was wearing a pair of cloth slippers given to her by Mrs. Hodge.

She walked on the uneven rocks with much difficulty.

There were a lot of things which came from the sea and there were also a lot of coral debris.

"Be careful, young lady."

Mr. Hodge reminded her from behind.

Coralie waved her hand to indicate that she was fine.

She walked from one end to the other, which was almost one kilometer in distance. They had been

there from morning till noon.

Coralie looked around very thoroughly; she was afraid that she would miss a spot.

She walked on the rocks. Everywhere in front of her seemed like the same scenery to her.

When she was about to give up, she realized that there was a white spot on a black rock some

distance away.

"Yohan!" Coralie shouted in joy.

She quickly ran over. She tripped over a rock but she didn't care. She just wanted to run over there as

soon as possible.

However, when she reached the spot, she realized that it was just a piece of clothing.

It was Yohan's white suit...

"Yohan, Yohan!" Coralie shouted.

She looked all around and was frantically searching for Yohan.

Mr. Hodge realized that she had found something and that she wanted him to come over to help her

look.

However, there was nothing.

After that, Mr. Hodge went home first and Coralie stayed back to look around the sea on her own. She

stayed until sunset. She didn't find anything.

In the evening, Mr. Hodge went back to the beach and found Coralie there. He comforted her, "Young

lady, don't push yourself too hard. At my age, we have already learned not to take things too seriously.

Life and death are already fated."

"Mr. Hodge..." Coralie said.

She turned around and saw his kind face, but she was overwhelmed with sorrow.

She walked over to Mr. Hodge's side and went back with him.

On the way back, Coralie began to talk about the story between Yohan and her. "He was my childhood

playmate. At that time, he was very fat and clumsy. No one liked to play with him. However, I thought

he was very cute, so I was willing to play with him. At that time, I only thought of him as one of my

playmates. I never thought that he had a completely different idea about us..."
