What a warm family scene!

Caroline stood on the side, completely feeling like an outsider! She was just superfluous! With a turn, she headed upstairs.

Gilbert, having changed his clothes, slid the door open as Sherilyn came up with a bowl of yogurt and granola..

“Want some?”

“Sure.” Sherilyn scooped another spoonful, feeding it to him. “Tasty?”

“Yeah, another spoonful, please.”

“Eat less, save some for me.”

“Stingy! I’ll make more after we finish.”

Chatting away, Caroline emerged from her room, dressed to leave, luggage in hand.

Seeing the two leaning against the doorway, feeding each other yogurt, she felt a twinge in her heart.

She once thought Sherilyn was the one Francis had eyes for…But it turned out there was someone else! And they even had a child!

In the end, she still lost to Sherilyn!

“Caroline.”

Francis came upstairs, eyeing the luggage in Caroline’s hand, “Where are you off to?”

Clutching her luggage tighter, she hurried away without looking back.

“Caroline!”

Gilbert then stepped forward, looking at Caroline’s fading figure, then back at his brother.

“Bro, you’re just going to let her leave like that?”

“What else?” Francis retorted, “Tell me, what should I do? She and James can’t get along, should James leave?”

Gilbert fell silent; his brother was in a tough spot, choosing between his child and his fiancée, who could be easily let go?

Gilbert’s injury was minor, and Sherilyn took leave from the dance troupe to return to work.

Early in the morning, David drove, dropping her off at the troupe before heading to the Johnson Group.

The car stopped at the crossroads, and Sherilyn thought about sneaking back to Sunset Ridge Community for lunch…
