What had gotten into Zayn?

Nadine frowned slightly and turned to Josephine, who appeared visibly uneasy as she stood close to Ethan.

The sight took Nadine by surprise. The Josephine she knew was always careful about maintaining distance from men, yet now, she showed no hesitation in standing so near to Ethan.

Could it be that the two of them were involved?

The thought didn't bring Nadine any satisfaction-if anything, it unsettled her.

What made this soon-to-be-divorced woman think she could so easily move on to such a handsome man before her divorce was even finalized?

While Nadine longed to be Zayn's wife, more than anything, she wanted Josephine to lose everything. She wanted Josephine to envy and resent her-to live a miserable life for the rest of her days!

Even though Josephine had never actually done anything to her, hatred-like love often arose without reason.

After a long silence, Josephine was the first to come back to her senses. Worried that Ethan might lash out again, she deliberately grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the car before finally letting go.

George got into the driver's seat and pulled out of the parking lot.

On the way back, Josephine called Mason and told him what had happened at the press conference.

"I saw everything. A media outlet was live streaming the entire incident, so everyone witnessed what happened. It's already gone viral. But don't worry, Ms. Dunn-we've prepared an emergency response plan and are ready to handle the situation at any time."

After hanging up, Josephine immediately searched for her name online, but only a handful of scattered posts mentioned her.

Then she searched for Zayn's name-only to be bombarded with results.

His name was tied to five trending topics:

"Zayn is Getting a Divorce!"

"Zayn Cheated?"

"Zayn and Nadine Caught Passionately Kissing."

"Zayn Breaks His Promise to Love His Wife Forever."

"Mrs. Forbes Claims She and Zayn Have Finalized Their Divorce."

No wonder Josephine couldn't find anything under her name-despite introducing herself, the media still referred to her as Mrs. Forbes.

Although she had anticipated the press conference would attract attention, she

hadn't expected it to spark so many trending topics.

Looking at the headlines, she

hesitated to click on the comments,

afraid she'd come across insults or

harsh judgments. That would definitely ruin her mood.

Just then, her phone screen suddenly lit up with the name Yvan.

She frowned slightly. What could he possibly want in the middle of all this chaos?

After a brief moment of hesitation, she answered the call.

"Where are you?" Yvan asked bluntly the moment the line connected.

Josephine's frown deepened. "Do you need something?"

"I asked-where are you?"

"On my way home. Why?"

"Home?" Yvan fell silent for a moment. "After everything Zayn did to you, you still want to go back to him?"

"Give me the address," Yvan said.
