Josephine thought he was ridiculous.

Even now, he was still trying to cover things up.

On one hand, he was blatantly flirting with Nadine in front of her without reserve.

On the other hand, he kept swearing that he was innocent.

"If you had cut ties with her the first time I brought this up, I could have trusted you. But just now, you were telling her you'd take care of her forever. Don't you feel guilty telling me this right now?"

Zayn's anger flared. "I told you that I need her to help transfer the funds. Don't you understand? Before completing that, I have to keep her in line.

Josephine raised her eyebrow. "And the way to keep her in line was to sleep with her?"

Before Zayn could explain, a man's voice sounded behind him.

Zayn turned around slowly and glared angrily, only to see Ethan and George standing right in front of him.

The two men were no strangers to him.

One of them kept provoking him in his own home, hinting at Ethan's interest in Josephine to infuriate him.

The other one had appeared next to Josephine multiple times, making no attempt to hide his ambitions. He was like a leech stuck on her body.

He was already filled with rage. When he saw the two men, it felt like a volcano erupting.

"Get lost! Don't let me see you two ever again. Otherwise, I'll beat you two to a pulp!"

Upon hearing this, George replied, "You're really violent. It's no surprise that you gave Ms. Dunn a concussion last time. She fainted and had to be hospitalized. Ms Dunn, you know you can report domestic abuse, right?" noveldrama

Zayn wrapped his arm around Josephine's waist tightly, afraid she would run to them. He gritted his teeth and glared at George. "It

Memories flooded Zayn's head, making him frown.

That night outside the hotel washroom, Josephine did quarrel with Nadine over a necklace.

Back then, Josephine pushed Nadine to the ground and was about to hit her. Zayn didn't want them to fight, so he nudged Josephine.

Zayn's face turned pale as he looked at Josephine. "Did you hit your head then?"

Josephine had no intention of bringing this up, nor was she interested in his explanation.

She reminded him coldly, "Let go of me."

Noticing her attitude, Zayn understood instantly. He panicked. "Josephine, if I hurt you, I'm sorry. I didn't know. I really didn't know..."

"Mr. Forbes, stop giving excuses. The reason you didn't know was because your attention was on your mistress."

George spoke once again, challenging Zayn's boundaries.

"Your mistress was arguing with Ms. Dunn, but you chose to help the

mistress instead. After that, you only
