Ethan replied gently, "Don't worry. I won't appear with you. I'll wait for you in the car with George."

Since he had already come this far, there was no reason for her to turn him away.

Furthermore, Josephine wanted to focus her attention on the press conference. She didn't say much and hopped onto his car.

Josephine managed to enter the underground parking lot after showing her credentials. Just as she stepped out of the car, Zayn called her.

"Josephine, where are you? I'll pick you up."

"No need for that. Just tell me where you are. I'll be there."

"I'm in room 3308. Are you sure you don't need me to pick you up?"

Upon noticing the elevator doors open, she hung up.

The entire hotel had been cleared out. Even the staff and managers were all put on leave. Each floor was eerily empty, with only Zayn's men patrolling the halls.

When Josephine reached room 3308, she noticed the door was open, so she just stepped inside.

Just as she entered the living room, she heard Nadine laughing.

It was a playful giggle that a woman would show when she was being teased by a

man.

Josephine thought about it for a second before deciding to take a seat on the sofa.

She would wait for them to finish their "business".

After all, they were a couple while she was the outsider.

She sat on the sofa quietly. Mentally, she recited the speech that she had prepared.

After a while, she could hear Nadine laughing from inside the room.

She said in a coquettish tone, "You're putting it on wrong. This bracelet is meant to be worn the other way. You're supposed to be the smart How do you not know this?"

Josephine's heart ached when she heard that.

It turned out that he knew that actions spoke louder than words. And yet, all he

ever did was make empty promises.

He wasn't willing to make any changes to his behavior.

He must have really thought she was a fool he could play with.

Someone knocked on the door. Shawn entered the room with a stack of

documents. The moment he met with Josephine's gaze, he quickly looked away in guilt.

Everything's prepared. The press conference can start anytime.
