We Will Collide Someday

Chapter 390

Chapter 390

Chapter 390 Possessiveness

“In that case, I’ll go back with you!”

“Alexa.” Christina pressed her hand on Alexa’s shoulder so as to stop Alexa.

“Don’t worry. I don’t want you to get involved. Also, I hope you won’t tell Henry about this…”

“But…”

“It will be dealt with properly soon. Don’t worry.”

Then Christina turned and left with her assistant without a backward glance.

But somehow, Alexa felt worried about Christina.

She decided to go find Terrence and discuss the matter with him. But much to her surprise, a dozen or so cars, all Maserati, stopped at the side of the road in unison at that moment.

In its wake, a black-clad unsmiling man blocked her way.

“Ms. Duran, Mr. Niebergall wants to invite you in his car.”

After the black-clad man’s words, a car window, which was right in front of her, had been rolled down with a crack, through which Irvin’s face was seen. And since the inside of the car was dim, Irvin’s face looked quite malicious.

Then the driver opened the door for Alexa while the other bodyguards formed a circle, blocking Alexa’s way out.

“Ms. Duran…” Alexa’s assistant seemed worried.

“It’s fine. Inform the public relations department. Tell them to be ready to get the thing out.”

Alexa ordered her assistant calmly before bowing and getting into the car. “You’re quite brave.” Irvin whistled playfully. “Aren’t you afraid that I’ll tie you up or something?” C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“There are a lot of people watching out there. I think what is happening now is already all over the Internet,” Alexa smiled casually. “Unless you’re not afraid of messing up the business of the Niebergall Group.”

“Well…”

Irvin sneered and approached Alexa gloomily.

“You have offended me so many times before. And I am a very narrow- minded person. I think it’s not unlikely that I would tie you up and dump you in the deep forest to feed the wolves.”

“Is that so? Then I have to say it’s not a good plan.”

Alexa looked at him coldly and even exchanged a glance with him fiercely. She thought, ha! He’s bluffing.

“Mr. Niebergall, if you have something to say, just say it. The longer I stay in the car, the greater danger the Niebergall Group might be in.”

Irvin was displeased with Alexa threatening him like this, but he dared not say anything.

“Keyon promised to marry Giselle, but he hasn’t made a move yet,” Irvin said coldly.

“What’s wrong with the Duran family? Why don’t you keep your word?”

“That is between Keyon and Giselle. I don’t see it has anything to do with me!”

“Alexa, Giselle has fallen for Keyon for real. It would only be inhumane if you tried to go back on your word.”

At the thought of Irvin being an illegitimate child, Alexa felt disgusted. However, Irvin, who seemed not to have noticed that, brought up the illegitimacy matter.

“Despite everything, I am still your brother, right?”

“Not really!”

Unexpectedly, Alexa took such a negative attitude toward him, which made Irvin look even gloomier.

Then the car came to a halt all at once.

“What’s wrong?” Irvin growled unhappily.

“Mr. Niebergall, someone has blocked our way.” The driver was so scared that his face turned pale.

Then Alexa saw an Aston Martin parked in front of them. In its wake, a large group of well-trained bodyguards came over, with Terrence walking in the middle.

A hint of a smile appeared in her eyes immediately.

“How crazy,” Irvin gritted his teeth and cursed.

The two cars were only inches away from each other. If the Aston Martin hadn’t stopped in time just now, the two cars would’ve bumped into each other already.

But Alexa actually was smiling now, showing no fear at all.

Irvin scolded her secretly, thinking that Alexa was an idiot. Then he got out of the car with a gloomy face, wanting to confront Terrence.

But Terrence pushed him away directly, opened the door of the car casually, and pulled Alexa out of the car.

“You’re here,” Alexa said with a smile.

Hearing that, Terrence pulled her into his arms.

“I was just chatting with my sister. Do you have to do all this?” Irvin said in a strange tone.

Then he started to provoke Terrence purposely. “My brother-in-law!”

Hearing the form of address, Alexa got worked up right away.

“Irvin, are you courting death?”

“It’s okay if you don’t want to admit it. I understand.”

Irvin smiled and nodded so as to show his understanding. He even acted as if he was making compromises.

Terrence, with a warning in his eyes, glanced at Irvin. Terrence’s eyes were so cold that they looked murderous.

“Think about what I just told you.” Irvin leaned against the side of his car elegantly.

“Whether or not the Duran family will be respected in the future all depends on you now.”

But Alexa ignored him and left with Terrence right away.

After getting in the car, Alexa still looked displeased.

“Sorry, I am late.”

Terrence held her hand.

Then he asked in a seemingly casual way, “What did he say to you just now?”

“Things about Keyon and Giselle.”

Alexa sighed in frustration. She found all these matters torturous.

“I don’t get to decide whether they get married or not!”

But deep down, Alexa did find it unconvincing why Keyon wanted to marry Giselle.

“Keyon doesn’t love Giselle at all. If he only married her to make up for something, their marriage would end up like a timebomb.”

While she was speaking, Terrence’s expression changed a bit. But Alexa didn’t notice that. But Terrence managed to hide his emotions.

And then he said lightly, “Marry her so as to make up for something…”

“Yes,” Alexa continued. “The way Giselle loves him is not healthy. That makes herself a victim too.”

“Not healthy?”

“She wants Keyon to be only hers. She treats all the women in the world as her rivals in love. She even tried to hurt herself so as to force Keyon to make compromises.”

But after finishing speaking, Alexa sensed that the atmosphere in the carriage was tense.

Terrence did not seem to be as interested as he always did. Actually, he did not even reply.

Alexa thought, perhaps he lacks interest because Giselle is Irvin’s sister.

At the thought of this, Alexa then decided to change the topic.

But Terrence had been cold and sullen ever since, as if he felt hurt or something.

He even took the initiative to sleep in the guest room that night.

“What’s the matter?”

Alexa realized that something was off and stopped him at the door.

“Are you avoiding me?”

“No.”

Terrence answered concisely, which made Alexa even more suspicious.

And since Alexa had always been careless and not attentive to others’ feelings, she found Terrence’s behavior perplexing.

“Is it because of Irvin?” Alexa couldn’t think of anything else other than this.

“He did not hurt me nor make me scared. Don’t be angry, okay?” She tugged at Terrence’s sleeve, which Terrence found seductive and touched as he always did.

Due to that, Terrence took the opportunity to hook his arm around Alexa’s.

While he was doing that, there was a hint of loneliness hidden in his eyes.

“I just think you might want some privacy. And I value it.”

“Huh?”

Despite being much taller than Alexa, Terrence looked so pitiful now, with his head lowered and his tone sad.

“Privacy?” Alexa was too insensitive to understand his meaning. “Is it

because I’ve done something wrong and have made you unhappy recently?”

“No, Alexa. You have done nothing wrong! Actually, you’re a very fine lady,” Terrence explained right away. “But also because of that, I can’t help wanting you to be mine exclusively, and I can’t stand others coming close to you…”
