Cordelia put one hand behind her back, tightly clenching her fist while maintaining a calm demeanor on
the surface. "Living together after engagement is quite good."
"Cordelia, do you want your four elder brothers to go to Beilve City and beat him up? Teach that
scumbag a lesson!" Imogen said excitedly.
Cordelia shook her head. "Forget it. No need."

Cordelia suddenly felt a bit more relaxed after speaking. She slowly relaxed her hand that had been

separately.

Meanwhile, Adam had already finished a bowl of rice and was elegantly wiping the corners of his
mouth.
"Imogen, eat a little bit more. Even if you manage to throw it up later, absorbing some nutrients before
that would still be beneficial. It's important for the baby's growth," Adam advised with concern.
Imogen worriedly asked, "Adam, aren't you concerned about Cordelia at all?"
"Don't worry, Eason is here," Adam said mysteriously, "You probably don't know a secret..."
Imogen perked up her ears, eager to hear the secret. However, Adam suddenly stopped himself and
didn't continue!
"Hey? Tell me!" Imogen raised her eyebrows.
Adam got up and smiled. "Let me think about it. How should I put it? Where should I start?"
"Adam, did you do it on purpose?" Imogen immediately widened her large eyes and added, "No, you

While the two were playfully fooling around in the room, someone suddenly rang the doorbell.
Adam thought it might be one of his brothers, so they continued their playful antics, and he casually
opened the door.
To his surprise, there was a person standing at the door with an icy expression.
"What are you doing?" Ben's tone was cold.
Ben's cold gaze seemed to shoot icy arrows toward the two inside the room as if he wanted to pierce
them through.
Imogen rolled her eyes. "Why are you here again?"
Adam also wasn't particularly warm towards Ben, only giving him a slight nod as a greeting.
"I come to see you. Aren't you inviting me in?" Ben asked.
"I'm the same as usual. But seeing you, I feel like vomiting," Imogen said boldly, taking advantage of
Adam's presence.
Adam lowered his head and held back his laughter. It took quite an effort for him not to burst out
laughing.
Ben's eyes narrowed dangerously, and said, "Imogen, are you feeling playful again?"
Adam raised his eyebrows. "Hey, buddy, is this how you usually talk to women? What year is this?
What era do you think it is? Compared to domineering CEOs, women now prefer gentle guys."
Ben glanced at Adam disdainfully as if he couldn't care less about him.
Imogen blinked and grabbed Adam's arm. "Adam, you're absolutely right. I was too foolish and easily
seduced when I was young. Now I understand, a man like Adam is the best!"
"Imogen!" Ben suddenly raised his voice. "Are you done making a fuss?"
Adam hurriedly covered Imogen's ears to cooperate. "Didn't scare you, did he, Imogen?"
Imogen blinked her eyes, thinking, "Tsk tsk, look at Adam, and then look at the dog outside the door. I
was really blind back then!"
Ben, who was being treated as the dog outside the door, stared coldly at the affectionate scene in front
of him and suddenly declared, "Imogen, I have changed my mind!"
