Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 266 Confession of Love

At this moment, Cordelia knew that Elijah cared about her.

She leaned over his chest with tears flowing.

"Elijah, I miss our baby."

Elijah was taken aback for a moment and felt a little bit lost.

If that baby were alive, they would be a happy family of three now.

Cordelia and he wouldn't divorce. Gideon wouldn't split them up if he had his great-grandson.

They would have a normal and warm life.

Elijah lowered his head and kissed Cordelia in the face. He felt her salty tears.

"Baby, come with me. I'll take you to somewhere special."

With that said, Elijah picked Cordelia up. And they went out.

Cordelia was curious. "Where are you taking me?"

"The cemetery," Elijah said, helping Cordelia put on her seat belt, "I'll take you to meet our child."

Cordelia was surprised, with her heart racing.

She didn't know that Elijah had done this for their child.

Soon, the car arrived at the cemetery in the suburbs.

Elijah chose a very quiet place for the child with a small tombstone.

It read: [Thank you for being here, Mom and Dad's little angel.]

Cordelia burst into tears.

"Elijah, you... really like him!"

Elijah was not pretending to be considerate to her when she was pregnant.

Elijah was indeed looking forward to the baby with love and expectation.

However, because of her low self-esteem, her uncertainty, and her lack of security, Cordelia wasted

time suspecting Elijah.

And those happy days were gone.

She wiped her tears, stood on tiptoe, and hugged Elijah tightly. "Thank you for doing this, so I know my

child is somewhere. Let's give him a name, shall we?"

"Okay, let me think about it." With that said, Elijah took her hand and led her away from the cemetery.

He didn't drive home but to the riverside.

The two walked together in the sunset, holding hands. When Cordelia felt better, Elijah said, "Let's call

him Hope."

"Hope..." Cordelia murmured, "Okay, it sounds great."

"Don't worry, Cordie. Hope will have brothers and sisters," Elijah stared deeply at Cordelia and said

firmly.

Cordelia was touched.

She suddenly had the urge to talk to Elijah about what was on her mind.

So, she took Elijah to the car and said, "Call the driver and ask him to come get the car in a while."

Elijah smiled and immediately took out two cans of beer from the car refrigerator. "Is that what you

mean?"

Cordelia hugged Elijah around his neck and kissed him on the cheek.

A kiss for Elijah and Cordelia had the same thought.

Elijah opened the cans, gave one to Cordelia, and then patted her head. "Don't get drunk, or I may do it

to you."

"In order not to let you do it, I won't get drunk," Cordelia replied and clinked with him.

The two sat on the hood of the car, cuddling each other and drinking beers.

"I didn't know that you could drink a lot," Elijah said.

Cordelia smiled. "Well, it depends on the mood. Sometimes I will get drunk fast, sometimes I won't."

In fact, Cordelia had already felt a little bit drunk now.

Dizzy, floaty.

With such a handsome man by her side, she kind of wanted to do it.

She felt that the time had come.

"Elijah."

"Huh?"

With the last ray of light at dusk, Elijah got close to Cordelia and whispered in her ear.

"I fell in love with you when I first saw you five years ago."
