Chapter 218 The One Who Should Leave Is Me

Elijah probably didn't expect that he would have embarrassed himself in front of Cordelia because he

answered a call from an unfamiliar local number.

He suppressed the twitch at the corner of his mouth and calmly said, "Okay, I see."

After hanging up the phone, Elijah looked around nervously.

Cordelia tugged at his sleeve and chuckled, "Why are you embarrassed?"

"No, I'm not." Elijah raised an eyebrow and then awkwardly cleared his throat. "The other day, I

accidentally flipped through your medical book and found it quite interesting. So, I wanted to learn more

about it."

"Okay..." Cordelia nodded.

After saying that, she stood up to have dinner.

Unexpectedly, Elijah suddenly grabbed her hand.

Cordelia turned back, looking at him with suspicion. "What's wrong?"

"Well, I'm just worried that I won't be able to keep up with you in your professional field, so I want to

learn a bit more."

Elijah awkwardly expressed himself, trying to appear arrogant but failing.

Cordelia found his expression similar to Cookie's.

He looked aloof yet wanted to be close to her, appearing arrogant but awkward.

Cordelia reached out and gently patted his head as if stroking a cat.

After that, she couldn't help but lean over, cupped Elijah's face, and kissed his cheek. "Let's go, time for

dinner."

Elijah was momentarily stunned but then happily responded, "Okay!"

After dinner, Cordelia prepared to leave.

"You can stay. It's your villa," Elijah reminded her.

Cordelia also wanted to stay, but Elijah still lived here, so it wouldn't be appropriate for her to stay.

Although their relationship was naturally developing, it hadn't reached the point of living together. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

So, Cordelia put down Cookie and prepared to leave.

Outside the door, the sound of a car engine suddenly came.

Soon, someone knocked on the door.

By then, Cordelia had already put on her shoes and was ready to go.

Then she saw Gideon come in with a cold face, accompanied by Daisy, Gabe, Edith, and a group of

bodyguards, all entering the villa in a grand manner.

"Didn't you expect to be caught red-handed, Ms. Graves?" Gideon looked at her sternly without hiding

his disdain.

Cordelia frowned, knowing she couldn't leave easily for now.

Elijah held her hand, immediately pulled her behind him, looked at Gideon, and asked, "Grandpa, what

do you mean by that?"

Cordelia snorted, "Yeah, Sir Hansen, you're exaggerating the fact, making it sound like you caught me

and Elijah in bed."

Gideon glared at Cordelia angrily. "Gabe, Edith, did you hear what she said?"

Gabe smiled and said, "Calm down, and don't get angry, Dad."

Edith whispered by the side, "Gideon, you did say something inappropriate. Cordelia just came to visit,

and you made it sound so offensive."

Gideon's eyes widened angrily. He felt something was strange today. These young people dared to talk

back to him.

At this moment, Daisy, who was supporting Gideon, spoke up, "I think Sir Hansen is right. It's already

so late, and Ms. Graves is still lingering in her ex-husband's house. It's indeed inappropriate."

Gideon's gaze softened, and he gently patted her hand, saying tenderly, "Daisy, you're sensible."

Elijah calmly said, "This villa belongs to Cordelia. The one who should leave is me."

Edith looked at her son in astonishment. After all, she bought this villa for the couple before their

marriage, which was Elijah's pre-marital asset.

"It seems our son likes Cordelia!" Edith whispered to Gabe near his ear.
