Veronica CEO's Underworld Queen

Chapter 87

Chapter 87

Rudolph Sy was pacing back and forth in his study with a stormy expression on his face. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

It's been days now and his men still weren't able to contact the men he sent to his older half

brother, Rawlf Sy.

"Rawlf Sy." He uttered, gritting his teeth in suppressed anger.

"Just because that man is the eldest and the son in marriage doesn't mean he's already legitimate

to take everything!"

He screamed and as if not satisfied, threw the glass of wine he's been holding on the wall.

The sound of shattering glass was heard from outside and Rudolph instantly heard the hurried

footsteps from the outside and soon, the knocking.

"Young master Rudolph, is everything alright?!" Came in the worried voice of one of the mansion's

servants.

Rudolph's already ugly expression turned uglier. "Scram!" He shouted.

The servant right after being shouted upon instantly ran off afraid to be the receiving end of the

young master's wrath.

Well, it's no normal day if none of the mansion servants would receive a blow, a beating or a good

shouting from either the young master or the madam.

The mother and son pair were known to be ruthless employers but mostly, the servants who

decided to stay and bear with it chose the high salary over their own dignity and well-being.

After all, the world is ruled by the wealthy and powerful and everywhere, life is full of injustice.

Allia Meng was sophisticatedly walking her way inside the mansion when she saw one of the

servant's expressions.

She raised her eyebrow and stopped the servant on her hurried track. "What happened?"

The servant instantly bowed her head after hearing the madame's cold voice. "This madame, I..

I….."

"Say it clearly you idiot!" Impatient, Allia Meng screamed, her contorted face the very opposite of

her graceful socialite facade.

"I... I was cleaning the hallway across young master's Rudolph's room when I heard the sound of

shattered glass madame. I knocked and asked if everything's alright " The servant paused,

indecisive if she should tell the madam of the young master's reply. In the mansion, whoever is at

fault, the madame wouldn't take it lightly if it concerns her only son, Rudolph Sy.

A Sy that she produced through hard work! "Pak!"

A crisp single slap loud enough that the servants nearby turned their heads back after looking right

after seeing their madame and a fellow. As servants themselves, they can only sympathize.

"You idiot of a slave! How dare you leave me hanging! Pack your garbage with you and scram out

of my mansion now!!"

The servant who was still fazed from the painful slap then turned pale after she registered the

madame's words.

Out of the sense of emergency, she instinctively moved to hold the madame's arm to plead but

with the madame's personality, that was a very very wrong move as she ended up being forcefully

thrown out of the mansion's gate while crying and begging for mercy.

Rudolph Sy after letting out the steam of anger was finally seated and already had another servant

clean the mess and was now enjoying a new glass of wine when another knock was heard from his

study's door.

He was about to scream whoever it was but then he heard his mother's voice. "Son, I'm coming

in."

Rudolph then closed his eyes and sighed.

"What happened?" Allia Meng's worried voice filled the study room. Rudolph then opened his eyes

and directly looked at his mother's eyes,

"Days passed and my men were still unable to contact the men I sent last time to welcome the

rumored family of Rawlf Sy."

"You idiot! Didn't I tell you to lie low for the meantime as the security would still be tight after the

failed ambush of that Vanessa?!" Allia Meng screamed at the top of her lungs after hearing yet another

stupidity from her only son.

Her plan to ambushed Vanessa Sy was unsuccessful due to circumstances she still wasn't able to

understand as the plan itself is perfectly laid out and decided to calm the tension for the meantime and

yet here is her son who she warned not to do anything reckless for the meantime after hearing about

the news about that bastard Rawlf Sy!

That man having a woman is already a dangerous news for them as it can only mean that he might

later on marry the woman and have children with her which also implies the Sy inheritance would be

even farther for them to grab yet another shattering news made her even more angry is the fact that the

woman brought with her not only one but two children.

Twins to be exact!

"Ma, I never planned for the kill! I'm not stupid! I was only hoping for a little threat! I never expected

that it would go wrong!" Rudolph Sy reasoned out. Trying to hide his anger for being constantly called

out an 'idiot' by his mother when they're alone together.

"Rudolph, do you understand the situation before even acting out?! We're talking about Rawlf Sy

here! He is the most powerful figure in our country and he has all the resources he needs just to find

out who instigated the ambush!" Allia screamed once again but after feeling a sudden suffocating pain

in her chest, she moved to sit and calmed down.

Rudolph, seeing his mother's uncomfortable expression, was about to move to check on her but

halted when he saw her signaling him to stay in his place.

"The reason why I warned you seriously last time was because of the failed ambush attempt on

Vanessa Sy. I never expected that that bastard Rawlf Sy is indeed powerful enough to even prevent the

assassination by probably discovering it earlier. Good thing that I contacted those men through another

person, I am quite assured my identity won't be exposed. But you, you idiot! Don't tell me you used

your own men?!"

Seeing the unresponsiveness from her son, Allia Meng could only calm herself.

After all, her son unfortunately wasn't able to inherit the intelligent gene of being a Sy. Indeed, she

produced a Sy but not the rightful Sy!

Although Allia Meng would die first before even admitting that fact.
