Chapter 718 Maria's Suicide
Sonia once told Dixon this thing. Later, when Dixon picked up Victor one day, he asked Victor tentatively. "Do you really hate Elinor."
Victor said, "I hate her most."
As Dixon drove, he cast a suspicious look at his son, murmuring. "But you can accept that she finds you."
Victor retorted. "You also pursue my mom, and she doesn't like you very much."
Dixon felt stabbed by his own son, and he was so angry that he couldn't speak smoothly. After a long time, he snapped the horn twice. "What do you know? The relationship between me and your mommy is different from that between you and Elinor."
Elinor said solemnly, "Isn't it? Elinor owns me, and you own my mother."
Dixon choked. It is the first time he has been taught a lesson by his son. For a while, he had nothing to say. After a long time, he was just about to drive on the elevated road when he was stopped.
It was a young policeman who seemed to just work. He gestured Dixon to pull over and then knocked on Dixon's car window. "Sir, show me your driver license and ID card."
Dixon froze, looking at the man in front of him.
The traffic policeman said again, "Sir."
Dixon reacted soon. He was stopped!
"Have I committed a crime?"
"In the city center, it is forbidden to whistle." The traffic police was still very patient. "You just honked the horn twice."
Victor laughed aside. "Daddy, you broke the rules."
Dixon's face was black. He, a noble gentleman, was never stooped by a traffic policeman before. He clenched his teeth, saying, "You want to deduct my points?"
"Yes." The traffic policeman just said, "You can't have the privilege just because you are a powerful person."
Oh, he's quite fair.
Dixon cast looks at him and remembered his card number. The policeman also saw Dixon's action, thinking that Dixon was about to revenge. But now that he is in this position, he should be fair. So he still deducted Dixon's points. After Dixon signed his name, he let them go.
Dixon drove the car back to main road, and they looked at the traffic police in the rearview mirror and then looked at each other.
Victor said, "He is a very responsible policeman."
Dixon also said, "I think he will make a difference in the future."
But now, they just saw this thing as a tiny matter.
Neither the father nor the son expected to see this policeman stand in the center of the city and prop up the whole ruins, just like the last guardian of the end of mankind--staying in this small but great position.
At night, Dixon brought Victor to his new house whose decoration was in the charge of Sonia. When they entered it, Sonia was in it. Seeing Victor in, Sonia stepped forwards to hug him. "You're back from school."
"Yes." Victor sweetly coaxed Queenie. "Queenie's makeup is really beautiful today."
"OH, so sweet" Queenie took Victor to the kitchen. Sonia's legs have almost recovered, just as Dixon's new house was decorated, so they came here for the first dinner. As time went, their prejudice against Dixon has slowly changed.
People will change, and everything that was deeply rooted will be completely destroyed one day.
"Wow! Black-bone chicken!"
Victor shouted with surprise, "I like it!"
"Do you?" Leon touched Victor's face. "Help me take out the sour plum juice and call your mother to sit down."
"Thank you for cooking dinner." Victor's eyes sparkled. "My mommy and Sister Queenie are not as good as you in cooking!"
"All right, you always flatter me." Queenie led Victor out, and Dixon already sat down by the table outside.
Later, when Leon sat down,
everyone raised the beverage in the glasses. Marcus and Lamont were also here Eugene and Chris couldn't catch up because of their busy work, but the number was not too small. There were eight people including Carl. They sat and cheered together.
"Wow! I really... haven't sat with you for years. It's just like the New Year."
Queenie said excitedly, "Especially with Dixon! I thought you were a smelly scum
a year ago. Now you're not bad."
Dixon joked, "Thank you for your affirmation?"
"No need." Queenie waved her hand. "My affirmation is useless. Sonia's matters."
Dixon looked at Sonia whose sight dodged. "Don't mention" what happened previously.
She meant she won't forgive him.
Dixon's eyes turned disappointed. As Victor ate the chicken, he said, "Sister Queenie should marry Brother Leon. We all know that's perfect." Queenie suddenly paused.
Marriage?
What a strange word! Can she match Leon? Does she still love Jarvis?
Queenie sneered at herself, her head low. It's a dream. After she wakes up, she should separate with Leon.noveldrama
Later, Dixon received a phone call in the middle of dinner. The atmosphere was active, but his face suddenly changed.
Carney gasped in the phone, "Miss
Johnson cut her wrist and
committed suicide, saying that unless she saw you... she said that she knew something that you want to know. If you don't come forward, she will die."
Dixon squinted, "These are her original words?"
His voice was so low that the Sonia next to him noticed something wrong, and
she put down her chopsticks to look at Dixon.
His face was cold, but after he heard
Carney's words, his face turned more indifferent, his eyebrows frowning, and he hung up the phone. Then he stood up with his phone. "I
have something to dealove
"Wait a minute." Queenie stopped him, "Is it convenient to ask what the matter
is?"
Dixon didn't look at Queenie, but at Sonia.
He pressed his lips, but finally confessed. "Maria has some things..."
Queenie almost overturned the table. "Maria? You'll leave just for her?"
"No..." He lowered her voice. "It's difficult to explain. When I come back, I'll solve everything..."
"I'll go with you."
Sonia suddenly stood up, her voice indifferent but firm. "It's time for me to meet
her in person."
What do you think?
