Union Of Death (Secrets of The Famiglia Part 2)

Chapter 25 (Marco)

Chapter 25 (Marco)

The night is quiet and the siren of death remains in its cave awaiting the call. I crouch down, as my men filter across the Warehouse, awaiting my call.

Many of them have fallen these past two years, I have lost 23 men, and tonight that number will increase, but it will be the last increase once the night is over. Leonardo shows the red dot on the man in the front, guarding his post.

And the sound of his gun follows as our hell’s night begins. Guns go off and we remain in our position as all of the Outfit soldiers come from the inside, shooting like loose cannons, their fear tasted in the air.

They should be afraid because they are about to die. Before my first tour, my father told me, a person tasted death before it came, it was like the earth's way of preparing the human body for its grounds. I have always doubted the truth of that, but when I signal my men and they start shooting, and killing the men who attacked what was ours, I can honestly say I believe him.

My gun aims and fires, killing as many of the Outfit as I can. Lucca should have never started a war with me. I thought he would be smart enough to let my cousin get her vengeance and leave Mischa alone after our little talk but Lucca will never stop, he is a man filled with malice, and set on taking back what he has convinced himself is his. My daughter.

I run closer, missing a bullet to my shoulder by a hair's breadth as Deno takes the guy out with a bullet to his head. The dead man falls as another man takes one, two, three bullets to his chest. The sound of death can finally be released and its loud noise fulfilling. Tonight, we feed the gates of Hell, rinse at the end of our enemy only to wash the outer stains come the morning, and tomorrow we repent for our sins, knowing it will never be forgiven because our soul will always be soaked in sin and blood. This is our damnation, and knowing it will not make us better, it will just make us colder.

“Clear the bodies. And fill the truck with everything that belongs to us, leave what’s there’s, let Lucca come sort his own shit out,” Deno spits on the ground as he orders the men, kicking one of the dead men.

I step over a few of them myself, refusing to look at any of them now they are no more.

“Lucca did well not to be here tonight. Do you think he knew we were going to attack?” The question comes from Xander.

“Yes, but we already know that, which is why it’s time we set a trap for our little snitch.” I smile as I look at my most trusted Soldier.

“What do you have in mind?”

“I was thinking eye-spy!”

He laughs, “Sounds like fun.”

Xander leaves and starts helping with the bodies, I look over all the men in my arsenal and stand in the middle of the carnage, thinking which one of them was going to go and who is going to be the new replacement.

2-hours later my men are all ready to move.

“Are you done for the evening?” Deno asks me and I already know the answer to that one even before I jump into his car.

“I have a short errand.”

“Where to?”

“Aliyana’s house.”

“You sure? She is having an early birthday party

We arrive at Aliyana's house a little after 11. I know the place is still packed because today is her birthday.

It is a coincidence we park right at the corner and there she is, standing with Gabriel and Michel on the side of the house, talking. And not too far from them is Salvatore. The loyal soldier. Loyalty comes at a high price, it is actually a fucking joke, because the loyal ones normally get killed the fastest.

I jump out of the car and march over to them. There is still death lingering on me. She is wearing the ugliest dress I have ever seen on anyone. It looks like a piece of plastic shaped into a dress.

“I thought men weren’t allowed to Bachelorette parties?” Deno asks me as he walks next to me.

“Marco, Deno,” Sartini calls from the front door, alerting the trio in the corner of our arrival.

“Fuck.” Deno mumbles but turns around to the front door, I am hesitant as I look at the woman who is staring at me in equal parts hate, shock and nervousness. Yes, she should be very fucking nervous. I want to smile at her, but I’m too angry over what she’s done.

Sartini is dressed in his usual suit and tie, as he engulfs Deno in a hug then me.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
