Chapter 9 Be Sold (9)

When Mia woke up again, the room was quiet and there was no one.

She saw a shiny fruit knife on the table, emitting a cold beam of light.

As if by magical power, she slipped out of the bed and took the knife.

Her face was still pale, but her head wasn’t dizzy anymore, and the fever seemed to be gone.

Looked like the middle-aged woman gave her some meds for cold.

Mia went back to her bed and sat there quietly, without moving.

The light was getting dimmer, and she felt the same about her body.

There was a glass of water on the table, she walked over and drank it in one breath.

The middle-aged woman walked in and turned on the lights.

Mia suddenly shivered, clenched the knife in her arms, instinctively trying to hide.

The middle-aged woman hummed and turned to check the table. When she saw the empty glass on it,

she nodded, satisfied.

She said indifferently, "The president will come over soon, behave well.”

"Please!" Mia’s head was dizzy again, she said these words with great effort, “Let me go, please. And

money…I’ll tell my dad and he’ll give them back!”

“Boring!”

The woman turned around and said just one word.

Mia got up from the bed and wanted to come closer to the woman, but her body was trembling.
