Chapter 397 Sweet Nothings
Alexander's lips slowly approached Sophia's as he spoke.
Their heated breaths quickly intertwined.
The ambiguous atmosphere instantly spread.
Just as their lips were about to touch, Sophia suddenly punched Alexander in the stomach and glared at him, saying, "Dream on! I'd rather be stuck here forever than kiss you."
Alexander didn't mind being hit at all.
Instead, his smile grew even brighter. "Who said I wanted to kiss you? If Miss Sinclair wants, I can oblige."
Sophia said, "Then why were you getting so close just now?"
"I just didn't want anyone else to hear what I was saying."
"I don't believe you. I choose to exercise."
With that, she turned and walked towards the treadmill in the room.
But she hadn't taken a few steps before Alexander grabbed her. "Sophia, your leg injury hasn't healed yet. If you run now, your bones won't heal properly, and your leg will become shorter. You don't want to end up with one leg shorter than the other, do you?"
Hearing this, Sophia pouted, "But I can't let you kiss me either."
Alexander smiled and ruffled her hair. "I won't kiss you, but I can still complete the task. Do you trust me?"
Sophia looked at him suspiciously. "What method?"
Seeing that she was no longer resisting, Alexander smiled and picked up the heart rate monitor, placing it on both of their chests.
He looked deeply into her eyes.
Alexander took Sophia's hand, gently tapping the back of his own hand, and asked hoarsely, "Sophia, what is this?"
Sophia, puzzled, replied, "A hand."
Alexander then squatted down, tapped the top of his foot, and asked, "And what is this?"
"A foot, Alexander. I'm not that dumb."
Alexander stood up with a smile, his long fingers gently tapping Sophia's forehead, his voice low and seductive.
"And what is this?"
His touch made Sophia's body shiver, and her heart rate quickened.
She tried hard to hide her emotions, but the numbers on the heart rate monitor didn't lie.
It had risen from 68 to 102.
The live-stream audience went wild.
[Sophia's heart is racing. Who wouldn't be moved by such a handsome and sexy man like Mr. Cross?]
[I didn't expect Mr. Cross to be so good at sweet-talking. I'm pleasantly surprised.]
Sophia bit her lip and said irritably, "What exactly are you trying to say?"
Alexander's lips curved into a charming smile, his voice growing even huskier.
"This is my hand, this is my foot."
He gently tapped Sophia's forehead with his fingertip and said with a smile, "And you are my heart."
With that one sentence, Sophia's heart started pounding wildly.
Her mind was filled with memories of Alexander whispering in her ear, his voice hoarse, "Baby, one more time, please?"
Those images were like a stimulant, making Sophia's heart race uncontrollably.
She couldn't suppress it no matter how hard she tried.
Hearing her own heartbeat in her ears, Sophia's cheeks turned red.
Seeing her like this, Alexander slowly leaned down, his deep eyes staring into hers.
His eyes were filled with undeniable affection.
"My heart is connected to my hands and feet, but you are the one who lives in my heart. For the rest of my life, my heart will never hold anyone else. Sophia, do you understand?"
They were so close that Sophia could not only see the deep affection in Alexander's eyes but also feel his hot breath.
His ambiguous and seductive words, combined with his handsome face, made Sophia's heart race uncontrollably.

She pushed Alexander away and said hoarsely, "I thought you had some clever trick up your sleeve, but it turns out you're just sweet-talking. How cliché."noveldrama
Alexander pointed to the numbers on the heart rate monitor and smiled, "Who cares if it's cliché? As long as it gets your heart rate up."
Sophia stared at the number 155 on the monitor, her eyes wide with disbelief.
How could it be?
Alexander just said a few sweet words, and her heart rate sped up..
Sophia, oh Sophia, how could you be so useless?
She looked at Alexander with a forced smile. "It's an actor's instinct to quickly get into
character. Otherwise, I wouldn't have won all those acting awards."
With that, she arrogantly lifted her head and looked towards the camera.
"Zane, we passed the first round. Bring on the next challenge."
Zane, seeing the skyrocketing viewership, smiled and said, "The second task card is in
the nightstand drawer."
Sophia immediately walked over and opened the drawer.
Inside was a pair of couple's handcuffs and a card.
Seeing this, Sophia knew Zane was up to no good.
She picked up the card and bit her lip in frustration.
Zane was indeed the notorious troublemaker of the entertainment industry.
Only he could come up with such a trick.
Seeing her sour expression, Alexander took the card from her hand.
He couldn't help but read it aloud.
"Put on the couple's handcuffs and have a midnight snack. Successfully completing the second round."
Alexander smiled nonchalantly. "What's so hard about that? I'm hungry anyway. Let's eat and get it over with."
Sophia glared at him. "Didn't you see the fine print at the bottom?"
Alexander immediately looked again.
The fine print read: [The handcuffs must be worn on both people's right hands, and
they must sit facing each other to complete the task.]
Both of them were right-handed.
Wearing the handcuffs would definitely make eating difficult.
Zane, that bastard, she really wanted to kill him.
Alexander raised an eyebrow. "No problem. I'll let you eat first, and I'll eat last."
They put on the handcuffs and sat at the table.
On the table were two plates, each covered with a lid, making it impossible to see what
was inside.
Curious, Sophia lifted the lid, and when she saw what was inside, she was so angry she wanted to curse.
The plates contained only ten grapes.
The forks provided were plastic and very flimsy.
Who could possibly pick up grapes with those?
Zane must have done this on purpose.
Sophia ground her teeth in frustration.
She cursed Zane in her mind, 'Just wait, Zane. When this show is over, I'll make you
pay.'
She picked up a fork and tried to stab a grape to put it in her mouth.
But after several attempts, she couldn't get a grape on the fork.
Just as she was about to lose her temper, the handcuffs moved.
Alexander picked up a fork, stabbed a grape, and brought it to her mouth.
He said with a smile in his voice, "Let me feed you."
What do you think?
