True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2265

Chapter 2265

"How dare you kick me when I'm down!" Claudia muttered as she glared at Sebastian.

The grievance in her eyes was pretty obvious.

Sebastian felt that Claudia must be very resentful of him then, that she must have wanted to strangle him.

Nevertheless, it did not irk him at all. Conversely, he was in an euphoric mood.

He first took his time to threw a glance at the lady, then at Claudia, and finally focused his eyes back on the lady again.

"Lad, you've seen it, right? You also think she's a scammer, don't you? I reckon this woman is an experienced scammer. Generally, experienced scammers are so good in pretending, and the gears they use look even more genuine than the authentic ones. By the way, what have this woman swindled you out of? Let's call the police," said the lady, who held Sebastian's hand and intended to call the police.

Claudia gasped when she heard that.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

It was really shameful to be called as an experienced scammer.

"There's no need to call the police in a hurry." Sebastian gazed at the woman with a slight smile and an amiable attitude. Due to that, it made him an even more charming.

Even if Claudia was glaring at him, she had to admit that he was indeed a sight for sore eyes.

He was a boy who was capable of attracting both young and old women.

"Should we not call the police first?" A pucker appeared between the lady's eyebrows. "Why don't we call the police right now? We can't be lenient with scammers like her. She must be punished at once."

Sebastian smiled faintly. "Although she's scammer, she is indeed a policewoman. Her police ID is real."

The lady was not the only one being shocked to hear his words, but also Claudia.

The lady's eyes were wide open as she gaped at Sebastian, and there was a look of suspicion in her eyes.

Claudia was baffled as she thought he was trying to add insult to injury when he claimed that she was a scammer. Unexpectedly, he actually said that she was a policewoman.

Claudia goggled blankly at him. His behavior was

beyond her.

"Lad, you said that she's a policewoman. You two are in cahoots, aren't you?" The lady once again exhibited her imagination.

Claudia was struck numb again.

"Miss, you might as well write a novel with your imagination. Which part of me look like a scammer?"

"An experienced scammer is able to make spurious thing appear to be authentic. You're such an experienced scammer. This lad also said that you are, then there's no way I can be mistaken," the lady spoke confidently.

"Miss, didn't you just say that we are in cahoots? Why do you believe what he said? Since I'm a scammer, and he is on the same side as me, isn't he also a scammer?"

"Even if you two are in cahoots, he isn't a real scammer. At most, he's just an accomplice. You're the real loathsome scammer!" The lady showed a strong partiality against Claudia, but in favor of Sebastian.

Claudia felt that she really could not explain it no matter what she said. She could only look helplessly at Sebastian.

Since he had spoken up for her earlier, shouldn't he defend her at the moment too?

However, when she cast a look at him, Sebastian simply ignored her, as if he hadn't seen her.

That attitude of his was extremely inscrutable.

What the hell did he want to do?

Staring at Sebastian, Claudia fell into a brown study. She had no idea what his intention was.

He said that she was a scammer, then he said that she was a policewoman.

What did she defraud him of?

Was it money? Or, was it love?

If neither of those were true, it seemed that he did not suffer any losses.

"Miss, you're so good at talking. What makes me a real scammer and what makes him not?" Claudia could not help but to retort, "I think you're biased just because he's charming."

"That's right. I'm biased." The lady admitted it directly. "So what? He's my cup of tea. I like him."

"Uh!" Claudia could not find a way to rejoin then. What else could she say if the lady had already admitted to it?

Claudia swept her eyes over the lady and Sebastian before she said, "Fine, call the police then. Now that we can't get things cleared here, then call the police fast."

Anyway, since Sebastian had known about it, she had nothing to be afraid of. At that point, she did not mind calling the police.

Calling the police would also waste a lot of time.

Her current purpose was to stall for time.

She had to stop Sebastian from going to her place in every possible way to buy more time for Kendrix and Sylvia.

Sebastian took a gander at Claudia and said nonchalantly, "There's no need to call the police. The police are very busy. It's a misuse of resources to have them come over here for unnecessary issue."

"How can it be a misuse of

resources?" Upon hearing it, the lady

disagreed. She even argued

anxiously with Sebastian. "This is an act to eradicate the scourge of our society. If I don't call the police, what if she deceives other people.next time? Didn't you say that she's a scammer just now as well?"

"You might have misunderstood." Sebastian was rather calm. With a collected attitude, he explained, "I

said that she's a scammer she's

hoodwinked me into thinking that she is into me, not because of something else."

"What?" When the lady heard that, she looked at him instantly with a strange expression, sizing him up, as though she was looking at something outlandish.

"Lad, how old are you?"

"25." Sebastian answered brazenly.

"Ahem!" His words hit Claudia like a thunderbolt.

She thought that he should be the one being called a scammer instead.

He actually said that she had hoodwinked him into thinking that she liked him. He was twisting the situation.

At the same time, she was also flabbergasted by his lie about his age, finding herself could not believe that he actually dared to reply so.

She fixed her eyes on him and kept coughing. Her face alternated between redness and paleness, changing color continuously.

Sebastian, on the other hand, did not feel awkward at all. On the contrary, he remained unruffled.

He looked at Claudia with an enigmatic smile on his face, and there were waves of emotions as deep as the sea hidden in his eyes, which made it difficult for others to see through his mind.

Claudia was at sixes and sevens.

She pursed her lips and did not know what to say. All she could do was to watch the lady converse with Sebastian.

"25?" Apparently, the lady did not believe what he had said. "How can you possibly be 25 years old?" "Can't I?" Sebastian asked in a heavy tone, "I'm indeed 25 years old."

"I think you look like 15." The lady replied, "You're tall enough, but your face doesn't look like it."

After that, the lady's sharp eyes strayed to Claudia as she sized her up.

Then, the lady turned to observe Claudia's police ID, specifically her photo and her stated age on it. Afterward, the lady said, "She is plainly older than you, and she's only

22 years old. Are you saying that

net

you're her senior by three years? Lad, I don't think so. Show me your ID card."

"I didn't bring it with me," Sebastian said in a low voice.

The lady frowned. "Which one between you is the scammer here?"
