Chapter 2188

Chapter 2188

Kendrix nodded slightly. "You seem to be enjoying yourself, Mr. Robinson."

"And you too, no, Mr. Trevino?" Chigo quirked his eyebrow. "Everyone loves shopping."

Sebastian interrupted, "Though I doubt Mr. Trevino is here to shop."

Seeing that Sebastian wasn't going to give it a rest, insisting on picking a fight, carrying a sting in his words, Sylvia stepped in.

"I'm a little hungry; do you guys want supper? Why don't we grab something?"

"Sounds good to me." Claudia echoed, nodding hurriedly, appreciating Sylvia's ingenuity.

Kendrix, on the other hand, took a casual look at Sylvia. He knew she was saving him for fear her brother would continue to give him a hard time.

His charming voice traveled to her ears, "What would you like to eat?"

Stumped, she looked up, only to see his striking face looking at her.

She saw his Adam's apple bobbed when she looked up and immediately cast her gaze to the ground. Her cheeks burned the next second, saying bashfully, "I don't mind anything."

"What about barbecue?" Claudia suggested, "It has got to be barbecue if we're talking about late-night food."

Sebastian looked at Claudia with disgust, "The smell is too smoky; it will get into my clothes. I don't want that."

"Perfect," Claudia smiled and said, "You can continue to shop with Mr. Robinson while the three of us eat. What do you say, Sylvia?"

"I'm game." Sylvia nodded.

Claudia then looked at Kendrix.

Kendrix was indifferent. "Fine by me."

Following that, all three of them looked at Chigo and Sebastian.

Chucking, Chigo pointed out, "I don't think we should split up."

With that, he looked over at Sebastian.

Frowning, Sebastian's stare at Claudia became more menacing.

How dare this woman throw out such a suggestion.

Was she not interested in him?

It was precisely he was worried she would pester

him, but her words had him reeled.

"C'mon, Sebastian, why don't we join them for a barbecue," Chigo said.

Before Sebastian had a chance to speak, Claudia said, "Maybe you guys shouldn't. A childe like Sebastian wouldn't eat something like barbecue." "Odd of you to say that, Miss Loris" Chigo smiled and said, "I know the Jones family's upbringing. The children of the Jones family are not boastful. If they don't want to go, it is just because they are not interested."

"You're right, Mr. Robinson," Claudia smiled, replying seamlessly, "I didn't expect you to know Sebastian so well. Your taste surprises me."

Chigo's gaze turned sharp; he knew that Claudia was insinuating him, trying to mislead him.

"And what taste are you referring to, Miss Loris?" Chigo asked bluntly.

Chucking, Claudia said, "Barbecue, of course. What else do you think I was talking about?"

Chigo laughed; his gaze at Claudia turned even sharper. "I'm sure many people have the same taste as I do."

Oblivious of their conversation, Kendrix looked over at Sylvia, saying, "There's one right where I came from. Why don't we go there?" "Sure." Sylvia immediately nodded.

And the couple walked away just like that, not caring for the others.

Seeing that, Sebastian quickly chased after them.

However, Claudia blocked him off, saying, "Sebastian, Mr. Robinson want to buy something; can you two help me with that? Sylvia can go ahead with Kendrix to the

restaurant."

"I don't have time," Sebastian simply said.

Chigo, on the other hand, frowned slightly as he looked at the leaving couple but still turned to Claudia. "And what is it you'd like to buy, Miss Loris?"

Claudia looked at Sebastian and

said, "It won't take long; just a few minutes. Don't tell me you can't even spare a few minutes, can you, Sebastian? Mr. Robinson said. had an excellent upbringing just now."

She stopped there, not needing to say any more. Anyone with half a brain could tell what Claudia was implying.NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes, staring at Claudia, knowing what she was trying.

She deliberately had him and Chigo accompany her so that Kendrix and Sylvia could have some alone time.

Sebastian snorted. "If I still say no when you already brought up my upbringing, you'd only make a big deal out of it, won't you?"

"Are you sure you're not taking this the wrong way?" Claudia said with a cheery voice, "Why would I make a fuss?"

Chigo smiled as he saved Sebastian from the situation, not once upset that Kendrix took Sylvia away.

That surprised Claudia.

Smiling, she shouted to Kendrix, "Sylvia, Kendrix, you two go ahead. I need Mr. Robinson and Sebastian's help to pick out something. Well catch up later."

Kendrix turned to look at the trio and nodded.

Claudia waved her hand proudly before turning back to the two guys.

Chigo remained indifferent, standing quietly.

Sebastian, however, looked displeased, fixing his gaze on Claudia.

His stare got her inexplicably nervous, and her heart started racing.

"Come on, let's go."

With that, the trio continued shopping.

Meanwhile, Sylvia and Kendrix went to the restaurant.

Sylvia kept her head bowed the entire time, not daring to look at Kendrix. Her face evidently reddened; not even the night could conceal it. "Why is your face so red?" Kendrix asked in a low voice.

Sylvia's heart skipped a beat, feeling self-conscious right at that. She couldn't help feeling embarrassed and annoyed at the question. She looked up, only to be met with his smiling gaze, and she reflexively looked away, chickening out.

"Are you not happy to see me?"

Kendrix's husky voice traveled to her

ears, "Aren't you going to look at me

at all? We haven't seen eachother for half a month."

Sylvia's face turned even redder.

Were her ears playing tricks on her?

Did Kendrix actually say those words?

Looking over at Kendrix with bewilderment and astonishment, she pointed out nervously, "You...

I... Haven't we been video chatting every day?"

"But it's different, video chatting and seeing each other in real life, no?" He retorted matter-of-factly.

Feeling embarrassed at once, she muttered, "I do miss you, but I didn't expect you to show up. If I had known, I would've called you."

Kendrix sighed, looking at Sylvia's rosy face. "If Claudia hadn't told me, were you only going to tell me Chigo joined you guys when you go home

later?"
