True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2130

Chapter 2130

Kendrix only nodded slightly in acknowledgement, without any excessive expressions on his face.

Sylvia had long been accustomed to Kendrix acting like that. Besides, he had always been like that, he rarely ever spoke.

Kendrix had already spoken a lot that day. It was completely different from his usual self. He even stayed back, and had spent some time alone with her.

All of that made Sylvia feel greatly surprised.

She did not know why Kendrix would do that, but when he acted that way, it made her feel a lot more confident.

So, when she sat down next to him, she actually felt very happy and excited.

However, when she turned her head around, she saw Lowell staring at her. His eyes were sharp, and he was frowning hard, as if Kendrix had offended him.

Only then did she realize that Lowell must have discovered something.

Sylvia looked at Claudia with suspicion. She did not expose anything, which meant that it had to be Claudia. Did she tell him something?

However, Claudia just looked at Sylvia calmly, not feeling guilty at all.

Sylvia frowned. Wasn't Claudia the one who leaked the news? Or was Lowell too smart and guessed it himself?

Her gaze shifted from Claudia's face to Lowell's.

Naturally, Lowell did not dodge her gaze, he looked at Sylvia meaningfully and said, "Sylvia, I suddenly remembered that there are some things which I need to deal with. Come with me, give me a hand."

Lowell stood up as he said that.

Sylvia was stunned. She also understood that her uncle wanted to tell her something in private.

She looked up at Kendrix and saw that his expression looked normal. Only then did she stand up. "Okay then."

When Claudia heard Lowell's words, she immediately laughed and said bluntly, "Mr. Jones, are you going to leave my cousin and I here? This is not the right way of treating your guests."

"Miss Loris, it won't take long." Lowell smiled, he replied flawlessly, "I will be back soon. Excuse me."

Sylvia followed Lowell out of the living room, they then went upstairs.

Lowell whispered to her, "What's going on between you and Kendrix?"

Sylvia did not expect Lowell to ask her that so bluntly. She was stunned and widened her eyes.

"Uncle Lowell, how... how did you know?"

Even though she had long expected and predicted her uncle of knowing about it, she was still a little shocked when he asked her about it.

"I am not a fool. Do you think I can't tell?" Lowell said in a deep voice.

Well then, since he knew about it, Sylvia thought that there was no need to hide anything, so, she simply admitted it.

"Yes, I like Kendrix," She answered loudly, "I am very serious, I'm not kidding at all."

Lowell was stunned. "Sylvia, how old are you?"

To him, Sylvia was still just a child.

There was no way for her to justify her liking towards him.

In Lowell's opinion, the type of love she had was naive and completely irresponsible.

She could not afford to love right then, much less a man that was so much older than herself. Plus, he was her teacher, it was even more morally

wrong.

All the worries in his mind made it impossible for him to get along with Kendrix nicely downstairs.

However, what surprised him even more was that he was able to get Sylvia's definite answer as he got her to walk away, and she answered it with such determination too.

Just from that alone, Lowell was able to see how determined Sylvia was.

He could feel her determination, but, could she be able to bear it at her age?

That was the thing which made Lowell feel worried.

"Do you even know the meaning of your own feelings?" Lowell did not want to irritate Sylvia too much. She was the only daughter of The Jones family, she grew up with the love of her parents and all her brothers just like a princess.

"Uncle Lowell, I understand what you mean." Sylvia looked at Lowell seriously and said, "I know everything, and I know that you are worried about me, but you really don't have to be."

Lowell's face turned pale.

"Sorry, I was too straightforward," Sylvia spoke again, "Don't take it to heart, I just want to say that I know what I am doing. You really don't have to worry about me at all. Since I have thought it through, then I will be responsible for my own actions."

Lowell understood how serious she was. Even if he tried to force her to listen, it would be useless. Lowell nodded. "So, do your parents know about this?"

Sylvia said, "I don't know whether dad knows or not, but mom knows. She has even met Mr. Trevino." "What?" Lowell was shocked.

"Uncle Lowell," Sylvia said seriously again, "You really don't have to worry so much. I know that young people might not know how to control themselves, but I want to ask you. Would people older than me know how to take care of themselves? Can you tell me what kind of life is a right one?"

Lowell was stunned by the question. After a while, he shook his head and laughed in a selfdeprecated way. "You are right, I am not a successful example myself."

He was not successful, so he had no right to persuade her, nor would he be able to.

"Uncle Lowell," Sylvia said, "Kendrix is the one I like. I hope you can treat him better, and I hope that you won't mistreat him or have any bad thoughts about him just because I like him."

After hearing that, Lowell was stunned once more.

Sylvia was really something, she could even tell that his attitude towards Kendrix had changed.

She was right, ever since he suspected Sylvia of having a crush on Mr. Trevino, he had a different outlook on him, and he didn't avoid showing it. However, he still needed to respect Kendrix.

"I understand." He nodded. "It's good to know that you understand what I think too."

"Of course I understand," Sylvia said, "So, don't think of Kendrix as an enemy. If you think of him as one, then you would be thinking of me as an enemy too."

"I got it." Lowell laughed bitterly.

She did not expect her to be so overbearing. They were not even together yet, but she was already so protective of him.

"Well then, I will be going downstairs now." Sylvia smiled, she did not wait for Lowell's reply, she immediately turned around and went downstairs. Lowell sighed as he watched her departing figure.

It seemed that he had really meddled in other people's affairs too much.

He shook his head bitterly, then he followed her downstairs.

Kendrix and Claudia were downstairs, they were both staring at each other, none of them said anything.

Claudia tried to observe Kendrix's emotions for a few times, but he was way too calm, so calm that she did not know what to do at all.

So, she smiled and said, "Kendrix, do you want to guess what they are doing upstairs?"

"I am not interested," Kendrix answered in a low voice.

"I know that you are not interested, but I am," Claudia said with a smile, "I think that they might betaiking about you."

"Busybody." Kendrix only told her that.

"Of course there's a busybody." Claudia smiled. "And, that perosn is Lowell."

"I am talking about you," Kendrix spoke in a low voice.

Claudia raised her eyebrows and

said, "Kendrix, I know you are talking about Lowell, you don't have to deny it. It has been so many years, do you think still don't understand you? Your words always have double meanings to it."

Kendrix frowned, he stopped talking.

Claudia shrugged.

Besides, she was sure that Kendrix was talking about Lowell earlier. Even though he would not admit it, Claudia still knew that he was talking about

Lowell.

minutes, and her expression wasz very calm too. When she saw how

silent the two of them were, she smiled and said, "I am sorry to have kept you two waiting."

"It's fine." Claudia did not think that way.

"Well then, are you hungry?" Sylvia asked.

"A little," Claudia said. "It's just that I don't know what time we can eat."

"I have given the butler the order, it should be ready soon." Sylvia looked towards Kendrix as she spoke, "Mr. Trevino, you must be feeling hungry already too."

"Not really." There were no emotions in Kendrix's words.

"Ha." Claudia sneered.

Sylvia immediately looked at him.

Claudia said, "I am a little hungry, even though we had a hearty breakfast, I am still hungry. Kendrix did not have breakfast, he must be starving."

"Mr. Trevino, didn't you have breakfast?" When Sylvia heard that, her expression changed immediately. She turned to look at Kendrix, it was obvious that she was concerned about him.

Kendrix raised his eyes, he glanced at her coldly, as if he was blaming her for talking too much.

Claudia only shrugged, she asked, "You always skip breakfast. Did you have breakfast?"

Kendrix did not say anything.

Sylvia got nervous at once. She immediately spoke anxiously, "I will ask the butler to send some oatmeal over at once."

After that, she ran out in a hurry. By the time she was back, her face was flushed from running, and she looked ever so lively.

"Mr. Trevino, how could you skip breakfast? Your stomach will hurt if

you don't eat. You mustn't do that

again." Sylvia looked at Kendrix with concern, there was no more room for anyone else in her eyes. "Lasked the butler to bring you some oatmeal first. It will be here soon."

"I am not hungry," Kendrix answered.

"You still have to eat breakfast even if you are not hungry," Sylvia spoke seriously. "Do you even know how to take care of yourself or not?"

Facing her complaints, Kendrix did not say anything, he only glanced at her.

When Lowell heard those words, he was really surprised.

Sylvia even knew how to take care of him then.

How incredible.

He was surprised by her change.

Claudia, on the other hand, looked like she was trying hard to suppress her laughter. It looked like she was almost about to laugh out loud.

However, Sylvia paid no attention to either of them, she continued to nag Kendrix, "I really don't know how you grew up. You are not allowed to skip

breakfast anymore. Do you hear me?"

Kendrix did not speak.

At that moment, the butler brought the oatmeal over.

When Sylvia saw it, she immediately took it over. She told him, "Hurry up and finish preparing the lunch, stop wasting time. We are waiting to have

lunch."

"Okay, Miss Sylvia. It will be ready in a minute."

"Quit your nonsense, hurry up and serve the food." Sylvia held the oatmeal in her hands, and she almost was going to feed Kendrix herself.
