Trouble in Paradise

Chapter 0336

Nicholas lowered the car window. The cool night breeze had dispersed some of the emotional tension. Nicholas rested one hand on the window frame as he spoke.

"I'll think about it. The situation with Jasmine is complicated. After all, Claudia wronged her first."

I was not surprised to hear him say this. He could only see the harm done to Jasmine, never the harm she inflicted on others. But even so, was guilt the only reason he was with Jasmine?

If he attended Jasmine's "final dinner", it would be like announcing to the world once again that Jasmine was his woman, and my earlier attempts to publicly dine with him would look like nothing more than a show. However, Nicholas had already made his choice long ago. Even though he had forced me to stay by his side, he would never choose me.

I struggled out of his embrace. "Let's go back."

"You're angry already?" Nicholas chuckled softly as he reached out to stroke my hair. "Why would you never get angry with anyone else but me? Is it because deep down, to you, I'm different from others?" Different? Maybe so. After all, there was only one Nicholas Hawk in this world.

I could not erase my past or eliminate the feelings I once poured into him. In the past, I would have told him clearly that he was indeed different. But now, I said, "Nicholas, you're overthinking it." The roadside was dim. In the unlit car, I could barely make out his face. I could only vaguely sense a feeling of dissatisfaction from him and a desire to make me yield.

Nicholas felt he had lost face. He could not get the satisfaction he wanted from Ariana. It was the kind of satisfaction he could not obtain no matter how forceful or coaxing he was. He wanted to possess her.

To Ariana's surprise, he drove straight to a bar instead of taking Ariana home. The two of them sat at the counter like ordinary people. One drinking, one lost in thought.

When he was emboldened by alcohol and kissed her under the dim lights, he did not even know why he was doing it. He was delighted when the bartender cheered them on. He had even hugged Ariana proudly, proclaiming, "This is my wife." Nicholas's enthusiasm tonight was overwhelming. When the driver came to pick them up, Nicholas eagerly pushed me into the car. He grabbed my chin and held the back of my head, not even bothering to raise the partition.

Thankfully, the driver was very perceptive. He raised the partition and drove smoothly.

Nicholas passionately teased me with his lips and tongue. "Ariana, say you love me. Say you're jealous."Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

I quickly turned my face away to escape his kisses. "You're drunk."

"Ariana, I want to hear you say it." He gently bit my lip. He was determined not to let go unless I did as he said.

'Stop it. You're really drunk."

He suddenly cupped my face, and a mischievous smile spread across his face. "But I haven't had enough to drink yet."

The next moment, the sound of intertwining tongues transmitted through my teeth to my brain. There was no way for me to block out the embarrassing wet sounds.

Nicholas usually handled his liquor well. When he drank too much in the past, he liked to sleep quietly. I had never seen him like this before.. Besides, I had heard that people who were truly drunk would not have the energy for such activities.

Even from what Leo had said earlier, it seemed Yasmine's case was premeditated.

Lost in thought, I felt Nicholas's hand slip under my shirt. I quickly grabbed his hand to stop him. I knew what he was thinking. But even if things were to heat up, should not happen here with the

driver in front.

I squirmed uncomfortably. My voice was hoarse as I said, "Enough, we'll continue this at home."

"No... Not enough." Nicholas moved my hand away. Under my startled gaze, he slowly lowered his head. Haven't had enough to drink..."
