Trapped with a Lawyer

Chapter 199 Henpecked Husbands

Chapter 199 Henpecked Husbands

Eason wanted to strangle Samuel there and then, but he had a bigger issue to deal with. He looked at

Anna, who displayed a stolid expression. He shook in fear, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "Don't

listen to his nonsense, I had broken up with that woman a long time ago."

Harry and Joseph burst into laughter, unreservedly.

Anna tried to calm down, "Eason, how many women have you been with?" Eason was a playboy

before, he changed his girlfriends like clothes. Even after he got married, there were still some women

throwing themselves at him.

Eason tried to comfort his wife, "That's the past. Don't get angry. Think of the baby!"

"It's all right. When my wife was pregnant, she used to be mad at Chuck all the time. Anna, interrogate

him as much as you like." Harry kissed Lola on her cheek.

Suddenly, Lola pushed Harry away, startling him. Didn't they agree to teach Samuel a lesson?

"Yes, Anna. Keep an eye on him. It's a sensitive time. You'd better watch him closely." It seemed that

the men wanted to gang up on Eason. They continued to snipe at him for a while.

"Hey Samuel! Weren't you with Emma, when my sister was pregnant?" Eason saw Ella waking up and

decided to take advantage. Samuel wasn't facing Ella, so he didn't realize that she was awake.

Eason threw caution to the wind, and hit back where he knew it would hurt.

"Emma?" Samuel gnashed his teeth in anger. But what he said was true. "I took Ella for granted then.

But now, things are going to change. I will be by her side, and love and support her. Her enemies are

my enemies now, and they will be dealt with accordingly."

Hearing this, the displeased expression on Ella's face turned to a smile.

Seeing the smile on his sister's face, Eason felt even more resentful. He decided to pester on.

"Samuel, I heard from my nephew that during the four years when Ella was away, you were living with

Catherine." Although he knew that his nephew's words couldn't be reliable, Eason still wanted to know

how he would react and reply.

Jerry had also told Ella about this, so she was curious to find out the answer.

Samuel didn't know Ella was awake. And he wanted to make fun of Eason. Thus he made up a lie to

respond to him, "Yes, that boy knows everything. It's true."

Consequently, tragedy followed.

Eason didn't get angry but laughed. Then Samuel heard murmuring behind him and a chill ran up his

spine, "So it's true!"

Damn! Samuel really wanted to slap himself. He had completely undone the efforts that he had put in

last night.

Staring at Eason, who was laughing maliciously, Samuel turned.

"It's not the truth, Ella. How can you believe what a wimpy kid said?" He tried to reach out to her.

However, Lola shoved him aside. And both her and Lilian stood beside Ella's bed, on the left and right

side respectively.

How dare he call their son a wimpy kid? Ella glared at Samuel. She would deal with him later.

"Ella, how do you feel? Are you still feeling pain?" Lola pressed a button to prop up Ella's upper half

body.

Ella looked at the two people beside her, as Anna walked over to them. She shook her head, "I'm fine,

aside from the wound which is still aching."

Everybody knew that it was Emma who had hurt Ella. That was the reason why these women had

planned and ordered their husbands to punish Samuel. If Emma didn't want Samuel, why would she Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

hurt Ella?

As she sat up, the stitches on her wound stretched a little.

Pain shot through her like a jolt of electricity, making her eyebrows furrow. Although the hospital's best

Analgesia pump was already in use, she still felt pain.

"Why can't ex-girlfriends just move on?" Lola really didn't understand. Even though Yolanda had died a

long time, Lola would never forget what she had done to her.

Samuel coughed in embarrassment, pressing the breakfast bell on the side of bed. Then he picked up

his toiletries, and went to the bathroom to fix himself up.

"I don't know..., " She said, "... I guess that maybe they were spoiled too much before. So they become

jealous when a new woman came into the picture." Samuel was just getting out of the bathroom when

he heard Ella saying those words.

Samuel sneered and pouted, thinking about what he had to say to her later.

After half an hour, Chuck and Daisy came back. With the help of Eason, Ella had already brushed her

teeth and washed her face, and was having breakfast.

When she saw Daisy, Ella gave her a meaningful smile, "Is everything okay?"

Lilian had told Ella what happened when the men were sniping at each other, so she knew Chuck had

been taken away by Daisy forcibly.

Samuel stood aside and watched the interaction.

Chuck cleared his throat and put his arm around his wife's shoulder. "My wife is very obedient to me.

We found an empty room just now and she gave me a massage." To Chuck, being kicked was similar

to getting a massage.

Daisy looked askance at Chuck, who was making up lies to mask his embarrassment earlier on. She

really admired his thick-skin. Shaking off his arm, she walked toward Ella.

"Take good care of yourself. And when you recover, we will go and beat that whore together, okay?"

Her words made the other women nod, while the men doubted whether their wives had violent

tendencies.

Eason looked at Anna. He pulled her over to him and said, "You are pregnant and this has nothing to

do with you. You'll be staying home."

Anna swatted his arm. In order, to avoid embarrassing him, she said in low voice, "Eason, I could fix

you for what you have done just now. Try to steal my thunder by planning to control me?"

Lilian stood near them. Hearing this, she couldn't help but sneer. They were all henpecked husbands!

Eason and Anna sat on the the sofa, while the other couples chatted and laughed.

After an hour, they left.

Samuel escorted them. Anna returned to tell Ella secretly, "Don't worry about Jane. We'll take good

care of her. You just take care of yourself."

"Mmm, thank you." Ella was worried about Jane's situation and had asked Anna when Samuel went to

the bathroom.

Anna hadn't enough time to tell her in detail.

But now that Samuel had stepped out, they took advantage of the fact that there were only two of them

in the ward. Anna comforted her again and then left.

When Samuel came back, he seemed in a good mood.

He sat beside Ella and began to explain.

He wanted to clear the air.

"What I said was not the truth. I just wanted to amuse Eason. And I've never lived with Catherine." Ella

glared at him, wondering whether she should believe him or not.
