Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

continuation of my life

Letta gazed ahead, looking at the now dark sky adorned only with a few stars that seemed too distant to reach. Letta could only lean her cheek on her arm, which was resting on her knees. The vast night sky, which she could only stare at without reason to distance herself, seemed to be the only companion for Letta at this moment, until her reverie was interrupted when someone knocked on her door, causing Letta to turn to Desi who was looking down.

“Madam, dinner is ready, and Sir is waiting for you downstairs,” Desi said, making Letta look back ahead.

“Tell them I’m not hungry. I’ve already had my pregnancy milk, so there’s no need to worry if the baby is lacking in nutrients,” Letta said, making Desi about to reply to Letta’s statement. However, Desi held back, thinking there was no need to say much. She would just convey what Letta said, and then it would be Marco himself who would decide.

“Alright, Madam. I will convey it to Sir,” Desi said, then closed Letta’s door. Letta started counting, sure that in less than a minute the door would open quite loudly, and she would immediately be met with a shout from Marco, so Letta began to count slowly from one while continuing to look at the view of the garden from her room’s balcony.

Until finally, at count 58, the door truly opened quite loudly, making Letta close her eyes. When that familiar aroma again pierced her senses, the next guess made Letta slightly stunned. It wasn’t a shout that Letta got, but a sentence of concern.

“Do you want to eat something? If so, I’ll have Desi bring it to your room. You don’t have to come down if you don’t want to,” Marco said, making Letta fall silent. Why did the man in front of her suddenly soften his attitude towards her? Was it because of his outburst earlier? Letta wondered, shaking her head, as tonight she truly didn’t want to eat anything. Just imagining it made her feel queasy if something were to enter her throat.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

“I’m not hungry.”

“Even if you’re not hungry, you should eat something,” Marco said, making Letta sigh deeply.

“I don’t want to, and besides, I’ve already had my milk for pregnant women,” Letta said, making Marco look towards the remaining milk on the nightstand, which Letta probably meant.

“Is it the remaining milk that you’re talking about?” Marco asked, making Letta nod, and Letta was sure that Marco was starting to get annoyed.

“You have to finish it, that one glass is at least what can be nutrition for your baby. Aren’t you worried about your baby’s condition right now? Didn’t you hear that the doctor said his growth would be hindered if you don’t pay attention to your eating patterns?” Marco said cautiously, making Letta somehow think even more. Was it because of her bad mood, and she didn’t want to eat anything, but Letta also couldn’t be selfish like that. There was a life now dependent in her belly, making Letta sigh deeply as she got up from her seat, without answering Marco’s words, and walked straight to the nightstand, then truly finished the remaining milk.

“That’s it, right?” Letta said. After that, Letta walked to the cabinet where she kept some papers, then took a sheet and handed it to Marco, making Marco furrow his brow.

“What is this?” Marco asked, making Letta look at the paper.

“It’s our prenuptial agreement. I’ve written down everything I want after we get married, or maybe if we separate,” Letta said, making Marco gaze at the paper. Letta’s neat handwriting with several points she had embedded in it made Marco not intend to read it now.

“Why did you make it?” Marco asked.

“For the continuation of my life and our future child’s life. I don’t want to agree to the marriage just like that without something to hold on to. You know, dealing with someone with power like you would be very difficult if I didn’t prepare something to hold onto,” Letta said, making Marco sigh deeply.

“Do you think I’m a man who will stay silent and neglect my own child?” Marco asked, making Letta shrug nonchalantly.

“Who knows, we didn’t know each other before, right? I didn’t even know your favorite color, and you didn’t know my favorite food, so anything can happen. You can learn it, and you can say if you don’t agree with what’s in there, we can discuss it again,” Letta said, making Marco look back at the paper in his hand, then sigh deeply.

“Alright, then, I’ve told my extended family that I’ll be getting married the day after tomorrow, and the wedding is almost 95% ready. And you just need enough rest and take care of your body. I won’t invite anyone to our wedding. Only my extended family will be there, or maybe you want to add someone? Perhaps you want to invite your family?” Marco asked, making Letta fall silent. Letta didn’t expect her wedding to be just a few days away. However, the next second, with a melancholic expression, Letta shook her head.

“No one,” Letta said in a curt tone, making Marco furrow his brow.

“Besides, even if I were to invite them, they wouldn’t be willing to come to my wedding, so just consider that I have no family in this world,” Letta said, making Marco look at her again with raised eyebrows.

“Let’s just assume that. Then, what about your friends?” Marco asked, making Letta immediately think of Mia.

“You also know that since the day my friend got angry at me in my apartment. Since then, I feel like my friend doesn’t want to be friends with someone like me anymore. So, stop offering the invitation. You can handle it yourself, because I’ll just follow whatever is in your plan,” Letta said, making Marco fall silent.

Somehow, seeing the melancholy in Letta’s eyes made Marco slightly taken aback. How sad must she have been all this time, Marco wondered. Marco became curious about Letta’s personality, because so far Marco hadn’t really cared about anything related to a Letta. Although previously Marco had told his subordinates to find out about her, it seemed that now his curiosity was different from before.
