Trapped in Love

Chapter 791 Don’t Worry

Chapter 791 Don’t Worry

Evan confidently stated, “You’re planning to make him anxious, then have me provoke him.”

Neil replied, “There’s surveillance in his study, and it’s an opportunity we can’t miss. What do you think?”

Evan pondered for a moment. “Hmm However, it might be useless for you to capture Bernard because you can’t imagine how loyal he is to my father.”

Neil countered, “It’s useless to threaten him, but his family will be his weakness.”

Evan sneered. “It seems that you haven’t done your research properly. Bernard’s son is just an adopted son.”

Neil was stunned. “I haven’t done my research properly indeed… What else can be used to threaten him, then?”

Evan replied, “My father wouldn’t have kept him around if he had obvious evidence against him.”

Neil sighed. “I’ll figure it out after I capture him, anyhow.”

After Evan ended the call, the bedroom door opened once again.

Caroline came to grab her jacket from the closet, and Evan suddenly appeared in front of her when she came out.

Startled, Caroline was about to speak when Evan pulled her into his arms.

“I’m sorry that I can’t go with you,” Evan said guiltily.

Caroline couldn’t help but laugh and nudge him. “It’s fine. I understand that you’re busy.”

Evan then revealed, “It has to do with your brother. My father is planning to set him up for death today.”

Caroline’s heart raced upon hearing that. “What do you mean by that?” She looked at Evan for an explanation. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

Evan proceeded to tell Caroline about Nell’s situation.

“I’m calling Neil!” Caroline sald, reaching for her phone frantically.

Evan stopped her and assured her, “Your brother is not an Idiot. He will have come up with plenty of

countermeasures since he is aware of the plan. I’m also here. Don’t worry.”

Caroline asked, “Did my brother tell you how he is preparing to deal with this?”

Evan replied, “No. Trust him.”

After inviting Paige, Caroline departed from Bayview Villa with Kenny and the children.

Kenny noticed that Caroline was distracted and restless during the journey. He asked, “Why do you look so worried on a trip?”

Caroline was jolted back to reality and forced a smile. “Nothing, I was just thinking.”

Kenny suggested, “Even though I don’t know what’s on your mind, I think that you should try to let go of

some of your worries since it’s rare for you to go on a trip and have fun.”

“Yes, Mommy! We should learn to have fun!” Liora turned to look at Caroline.

Caroline smiled and caressed Liora’s head. “I can tell that you’re very happy today.”

Liora dived into Caroline’s arms. “Yes! It’s very rare for you to take us out because you’re too busy. I’m happy that we get to go out together!”

Caroline felt guilty when she saw Liora’s naive smile and thought about how she should spend more time with her children. They would grow up soon, and she did not have that much time to spend with them.

Caroline pushed her worries aside and chatted with the children.

Soon, the car arrived at Paige’s place.

Alex waited downstairs with Paige, and he loaded the luggage into the trunk when Caroline arrived.

Paige got into the car with excitement. “Carol, what’s with your enthusiasm today? You’re actually going skiing!”

Caroline smiled and explained, “Kenny suggested it. I think it’s a good idea to go on a trip today since we’re free.”

“That’s true. You should travel more and not spend all day working in the company. That’s boring!”

Caroline looked at Alex, who had already loaded the luggage. He helped Paige buckle up but did not get into the car.

Caroline asked in puzzlement, “Are you not coming, Alex?”
