Chapter 105 Where Is Caroline
Caroline lay on the floor, her red, swollen hands shaking. She stared at the crack in the door from day to night and then to day again.
The claustrophobic house and the fear of death crushed her spirit constantly. She hadn’t ended her life because of the three lives growing inside her womb.
She closed her eyes, and Evan’s figure appeared in her mind. Over the past few days, she had thought about many things and suspected the Xanders or the Jordans were probably behind her predicament.
Both families had vast connections and great influence, making it impossible for her weak self to stand up against them.
Alone and pregnant, she worried about what would happen to her children when they were born. They were innocent, and she still had yet to avenge her mother.
Curling up her body, Caroline decided to place a bet for her children’s future survival. She wanted to believe that Evan would keep and protect them.

At Villa Rosa.
Evan sat on the sofa with a gloomy expression. The stubbles on his chin added to his worn–out
appearance. His bloodshot eyes remained fixed on his phone without looking away.
Lily approached Evan, holding a bowl of soup. “Eat something, sir. Otherwise, your health will
deteriorate before Ms. Shenton is found.”
Evan took the bowl from Lily, but his expression remained solemn. He took a couple of sips before
a commotion at the door caught his attention. His eyes turned cold as he saw Daniella being led in
from afar.
Evan’s intense gaze took aback Daniella. Rushing forward, she spoke with pity. “Evan, you-”
Evan’s voice was terrifying as he interrupted her, demanding, “Daniella, I didn’t see you for three days out of respect for the Xanders. Tell me now, where is Caroline?”
“Caroline?” Daniella shook her head in astonishment. “I don’t know.”
“Don’t know?” Evan’s eyes narrowed, and he moved closer to her. “You cried and complained to Mr
Xander, yet you’re telling me you don’t know?”
Terrified, Daniella stumbled back onto the sofa and began to cry. “I really don’t know, Evan I did
complain to my grandfather, but I have no idea about Caroline’s situation!”
The southern suburbs were a vast area. Evan’s subordinates spent a day searching, and Paige and
Scott joined them.
At 1:00 am, the bodyguards narrowed the search area to a forest, and Evan came rushing over
after hearing the noises.
The bodyguards searched the forest with flashlights and soon found a house.
A bodyguard immediately shouted, “Mr. Jordan! There’s a house here!”
Evan walked in the direction of the voice, and his gaze dimmed visibly when he saw the metal
chain used to lock the door. “Smash it!”
The bodyguards broke the metal chain in a few seconds with their tools.
When the door was opened, Evan saw Caroline curling up on the ground right away.
His heart was racing, and he rushed into the house. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
“Caroline!” Evan’s voice sounded shaky.
Caroline lay on the ground without moving, and her emaciated face was ghastly pale. She
appeared to be on the verge of death.
Evan scooped Caroline up into his arms, his eyes bloodshot.
He roared to the bodyguards harshly, “Get Scott to come quickly!”
