Chapter 41

“Hello Jason”, said Ry with cold icy voice but there was a hint of mischievous hidden in it. Only those

who were close to him would get that.

That’s when I realised Ry was too focused in punishing me that he forgot to type his code when he got

in. So the elevator stopped on the groundfloor.

I got off from the elevator to greet my buddy. Jason.

“Jason!! Long time no see.” I said hugging him. I was pulled off from him by two strong arms. From the

tingles I got from his touch I understood it was Ry’s.

“You don’t need to hug to greet.” Ry said to which Jason and I looked at him as if he grew two heads.

Ignoring his comment I went on with the conversation before Ry drag me out of there.

“J you joined so fast. I thought you would only join after two or three days.” I asked.

“Yeah boss called me telling me to join. He didn’t mention when, because he only speaks maximum of

four words to people. To me it was “YOU CAN COME BACK”, so I joined today itself.”

“Oh” I said looking at Ry in confusion because I didn’t notice him making any calls in these two days.

“Yeah I called him when you were bathing. I wanted the rumour to be gone as soon as possible or I will

fire him again.” He said, stressing the last words to J.

“No boss don’t fire me again. I don’t wanna be unemployed again. I will remove the rumour soon.” He

said holding Ry’s hands with pleading eyes.

Ry shrugged him off.

“What happened didn’t you like the bartender job? Being the centre of attraction?” I asked taking J’s

hand on mine.

“That’s what I thought but its not as fun as being here. Here every day I get new numbers to deal with

along with girls to flirt to. You know how handsome I am.” He winks at me to which I heard Ry’s groan

making me giggle. Ry removes my hands from J’s and puts one of his hands on my waist. J didn’t

notice that move from Ry because he was too busy looking at the girls swooning over him.

Though there were girls swooning over Ry and throwing daggers at me, his eyes were only on me.

“So as I was saying it is way better to be here. There everyday was the repetition of the previous day.

Girl flirting with me, me trying to get their numbers but failing miserably.” He says the last words wiping

his fake tear. So dramatic.

“Neither did I get their numbers nor did I have sex for weeks. Do you have any idea how miserable that

is.” He holds my both hands in his showing a miserable sad face with ugly puppy eyes. He would have

looked cute with puppy eyes along but he had to make that miserable sad face to be so dramatic. “It’s

the longest I have stayed without any release.” I looked at him with disgust face and swat his hands off

me. To which he showed a fake hurt face making me giggle.

“I will never say I hate working in Waynst co.” He says with determined face.

“That’s what you get for thinking you can outpast me in girls department” Ry says. This time it was me

who groaned to which he wraps his arms around and puts his face in the crook of my neck inhaling my

scent. This action of his made my heart beat fast and forget about his earlier comment.

J gasps bringing me back from my thoughts. Oh, I really did forget we were standing in middle of

people working.

“You two??” he asks with one hand over his mouth and the other pointing me and Ry.

“Yupp” I say to which Ry nuzzles more into my neck making me blush.

Ry looks up to see J looking at him with dead serious look. God he really can be scary when he is

serious.

“If you dare hurt my girl…” J comes towards us making Ry groan and come in front of me. “She is mine

and mine only.” Ry looks at J with murderous look making him a little affected but covers it up quickly

with serious look which changes quickly to a surprised look.

“I have never heard him say that about anyone before. Nor have I seen him be more serious about a

girl before.” he says looking behind Ry to look at me.

I nod, “There’s a history between us.” I say looking at Ry and holding his arm. “That goes way back to

our childhood.”

“Which she will tell afterwards because I need her now.” He looks at me with lust filled but with lots of

love making my heart beat even faster than before and drags me from there.

On the way to the lift, I heard people whispering. I looked back to see what the matter was , to see

people looking at Ry weirdly. More like looking at his crotch. That’s when it hit me. The Rumour.

I started giggling followed by Jason that made Ry look back to see what made me laugh, to which he

starting fuming like Tom in ‘Tom and Jerry’

“WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT??? GO BACK TO YOUR WORK. If I catch that look from anyone

one more time you are a dead meat, also did I mention you will be fired?” He looked to the people near

to him and saw them shaking their head. “No? Well you will be?” Making me laugh more. That made

people’s attention on me. Some looked at me with a terrified look some were surprised to see me

laugh. Well I cant blame them, no one in their right mind will laugh at an angry man let alone their boss

known for his temper.

“Kat you are dead meat now.” Ry says and drags me from there.

“Good luck!!” Shouted J from behind halting Ry’s movement. He looked back at J with that murderous

look.

“You better get rid of it before lunch today. Or else I don’t have to tell what will happen right?” He asks

and I saw J nodding his head vigorously to it.

With that he drags me from there to his lift. Making me laugh more.

“Haha, laugh all you want because the moment we will reach my office you are deaaadd.” He looks at

me with mad eyes, but I could see a hint of mischievous look in his eyes.

Me being very brave I moved closer to him despite seeing his angry eyes and saw his breathing

faltering making me smirk. Good, I still do have an effect on him.

*Warning : There’s a small kissing scene*

I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him down towards me. I saw that was reluctant to give in but

well I don’t give up either. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him. He relaxes into the kiss and walks us

to the back of the elevator. He pulls me more into him. He puts one of his hands behind my head to pull

me closer. His other hands he puts on my ass and squeezes them making me moan.

I pulled away from the kiss before it got out of hands making Ry groan. He puts his head on mine while

both us tried to catch our breath.

*Over*

“Is it better now?” I asked clearly seeing him being frustrated from the moment we got off the car. I too

was frustrated from the moment we got off our house. These two days were not enough to compensate

for losing 3 years. And now we had to keep our distance as we are in public now. We both don’t like

PDA but both cant help to keep our hands off from eachother. And it was because of his frustrations

that he was too touchy when I was talking to Jason.

“Yes.” He sighed deeply keeping his eyes closed.

I leaned towards him and kissed both his eyelids and saw a smile on his face making my heart beat

even faster. I am surprised I am not dead yet. He is way too handsome when he smiles.

He looks at me with full of love. “Better than I have ever been now that you are here with me.” He says

making my heart skip a beat.

“Gosh you have such a sweet mouth.” I say pushing his face away from him. He holds my hand and

kisses on my palm. I feel like I look like a tomato now.

“Oh yha? But why are you blushing.” He says with a smirk on his face.

“Oh shut up.” I say taking my hand from him and pushing him off me. On queue the elevator door

opened and I rushed out.

He caught my hand and pulled me back making me crush against his chest. He leans down towards

my ears and whispers. “Don’t forget about the punishment because I am still mad.” He nibbles on my

earlobe increasing my breath rate.

“Goodmorning Mr.Scott.” I heard a sweet voice making me hide my face on his chest covering my

cheeks which makes Ry laugh.

“A very goodmorning Miss Cooper.” He says and that made me identify the owner of the sweet voice

Raven Cooper, his assistant.

He pulled away from me and went to her to take the documents from her hands and that’s when I

realised she is looking at him with a surprised look with her mouth opened.

He signs on the documents and looks up at her and taps under her chin to have her mouth closed.

“Close your mouth or flies will have their home built there.” He jokes which makes her more surprised

and makes my heart stink with jealousy. He touched her and now jokes with her? Ugh, who am I

kidding this must be what he felt during mine and J’s conversation.

“Don’t send anyone to me and cancel all my appointments that are now to after 1, no 2 hour.” He

changes the time after looking at me, who by the way is looking at his assistant with a strange look,

must be jealous, nah confus-

“KATT?”

“Ouch” I rub my ears which hurts from Ry’s shouting. “What??”

“What are you dreaming about? Come to my office”.

“Okay. I am coming.” With that he left ahead of me and me walking behind him. I stopped on my tracks

when I heard. “I have never seen him be this happy.” I turned to look at her with confused face to see

where she is taking this to.

“Your point is?”

“You must not be that bad after all. He is better with you. I think we can be good friends. Hi my name is

Raven Cooper.” He says extending her hand to me.

“Hi, Katherine Marshal. What are you getting at?” I asked her confused at what she is doing. One

moment she was throwing daggers at me and now creating a friendship?

“I thought you might be my love rival when in reality there was nothing between me and boss to begin

with. It was all my fantasy of having a better life with a perfect handsome husband.” She says with aContent © NôvelDrama.Org.

sad expression on her face. There is more to her than just a slutty secretary. What has this girl gone

through?

“Now like you mentioned, we are friends. If you want to talk to anybody I am here for you. I am saying

this from the bottom of my heart.” I say holding her hands. I saw a sad expression flashed through her

hands, but covers it quickly with an expressionless face. She must have gone through so much bad

things.

“Well aside from being sexually assaulted by my stepfather, getting shot while trying to escape from

him, being a sex slave to his friends at age 18 and being sentenced to prison for killing all of them. I am

perfectly fine.” She says all that with disgust and pride.

I hugged her and whispered to her that I am proud of her, that made her breakdown in my arms. I

brought her to the couch in my office to avoid others from seeing her crying.

After she was recovered she pulls away from me and sits straight. I go to my desk and gets her a

tissue.

“Thankyou.”

“Don-”

“No, its not for tissue but for supporting me. I haven’t had anyone to be close to. But something made

me trust you.” She said holding my hands and turned to the wall to continue.

“I haven’t opened upto anyone other than my mother but she was a drug addict and blamed the whole

incident on me. I was just 17 when I lost my father and because of him leaving she found relief through

drugs and several months after that she married that bastard as he was rich and a drug dealer. She

blamed that my father left us because of me and that it was my fault that the bastard, my so-called

stepfather touched me. That bastard after knowing of his friend’s demise knew the next in line was him

and made false evidences to trap me. My lawyer was a kind man in his 50s who also has a daughter

like me.” She said turning to me. “You know her.” I looked at her confused.
