Chapter 940 You Can't Even Find a Single Person?!

"Are you really serious about killing me, Serena?!" Kingsley exclaimed in despair. "Please tell me you're joking!"

Serena gave a charming smile. "Oh, you know I can't bear to do that. But if you can't dodge, I can't guarantee what will happen."

At that, Kingsley adjusted his collar silently. "Serena, I know you're a responsible assassin, but I'm your brother! If I hadn't dodged just now, I would've been gushing blood by now!"

"I know you can dodge." Serena smiled. "Don't worry, as long as you stay vigilant, you'll definitely survive my 100 assassination attempts. Look, now there are only 96 attempts left."

She grazed her fingertips against Kingsley's Adam's apple. "From now on, your neck belongs to me. Whether it's a kiss or a knife, it's my decision. If any other woman dares to touch it, I'll personally break her neck. I'm not joking."

While speaking, Serena had a seductive smile on her face.

If one didn't listen to the content, it could definitely make every man's heart flutter. But once they heard the content, no man would dare have any inappropriate thoughts.

Serena opened the door and said with a smile, "Alright, Kingsley, you can go to your room now. Of course, you can sleep here if you want."

"N-No, thanks. I'll go to my room." Kingsley rubbed his face. "I don't want you slitting my throat in the middle of the night."

While Kingsley went back to his room to sleep, a fierce storm was brewing in the Lawson Residence on the other side of Cleapolis.

Jonah stood in the living room with bloodshot eyes, gripping the collar of a young man and shouting, "Haven't they found him yet?!"

This man, named Ronan Jovianis, used to work under Mickey. Jonah kept him around for his cleverness and assigned him to handle contacts with the underworld forces.

"N-No…" Ronan said fearfully, "I've dispatched everyone I could, but we can't locate Mr. Kendall. I even paid a high price to bribe a guy under Kenny Shane, but he claimed they never saw Mr. Kendall…"

Upon hearing this, Jonah threw Ronan to the ground and cursed, "D*mn it! You useless piece of sh*t! Cleapolis is only about this big, and you can't even find a single person?!"

Ronan quickly got up from the ground, looking aggrieved, but dared not retort a single word, bowing his head in silence.

Jonah lit a cigar and pointed at Ronan with his smoking fingers, saying, "Did you contact Boss Jarett?"

"I did," Ronan answered with his head down. "Boss Jarett is cautious and suspicious, rarely contacting unfamiliar people directly. It took quite a few connections for me to reach his strategist, Albert Radcliff."

Jonah nodded; he knew Ronan's words were not unfounded. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Jarett had committed so many shady dealings that his prudence had reached a psychotic level. Otherwise, he wouldn't have directly set up the Cole Gang's headquarters in his own home.

If it weren't for Mickey acting as an intermediary, establishing a partnership with Jarett wouldn't have been so straightforward. Even now, as partners, Jarett still refrained from direct contact, preferring to convey messages through Mickey.

"I know Boss Jarett's temperament," Jonah said, taking a puff of his cigarette.

"But who is this Albert Radcliff, and can he be trusted? Does he have accurate information?"

Ronan replied, "I heard that after Shane left the Cole Gang, he became their top strategist. He should be the closest person to Boss Jarett now. He's definitely trustworthy."
