The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 766 Awkward

Chapter 766 Awkward

"Dr. Kramer, there are no such things as meridians in modern medicine," Alan explained. "Meridians are microscopic channels that assist in the normal circulation of qi and blood in the human body. You can consider them as invisible tissues. Therefore, they cannot be found through surgery. Our only hope rests in Qustia's traditional medicine."

Alice pondered for a moment before inquiring, "Professor Gershwin, can you cure Old Mrs. Fox? I'm planning on devising a medical plan for her!"

She just wanted to cure Old Mrs. Fox's illness as soon as possible. That way, Matt would finally get off her back.

"Well..." Alan felt a bit embarrassed. "Unfortunately, I am unable to use acupuncture to guide the flow of energy and blood and open up the meridians since I'm far from proficient. I estimate that even Todd the Medical Saint cannot guarantee a hundred percent success in curing the disease..."

When Kingsley caught sight of the disappointed expression on her face, he immediately stepped in to comfort her. "Alice, don't worry. I will take care of this matter. As for that medical plan… Well, you don't need to write a single word!"

"I can't possibly shirk my responsibilities! The hospital director specifically asked me to write it!" Alice exclaimed.

He merely smirked. "I have already talked to Old Mrs. Fox about this. If anyone forces you to write it, just take it up to her!"

"Really?" She blurted in surprise, "Will Old Mrs. Fox actually help me?"

She wouldn't have to worry about Matt bothering her if Old Mrs. Fox would defend her!

He nodded confidently. "Trust me. Just go to Old Mrs. Fox if anyone or anything is bothering you. Alice, rest assured, no one will ever be able to trouble you in Hill Crest Hospital!"

He only asked her to confide in Old Mrs. Fox. However, he didn't mention that he had sent people from the underworld to protect her.

After all, Alice was not Victoria. He was genuinely worried that she would be afraid of people from the underworld.

Meanwhile, Alice's beautiful eyes sparkled with delight upon hearing his declaration. "No one will trouble me anymore? That... That's really great!"

Recently, her mind was plagued with Matt and his constant harassment.

So, she couldn't help but throw herself into Kingsley's arms when she heard such fantastic news as she trilled, "Kingsley, you're really amazing! I don't even know what I would do if it weren't for you..."

The nurse and Alan were stunned at the sight of such a scene unfolding before them!

This was the first time they had seen Alice take the initiative to embrace someone!

Cough! Cough! Cough...

Cassius cleared his throat a few times in an attempt to get their attention. "Um... Kingsley, Shannon, and I will take out leave now. Cayden is still waiting for us."

Alice immediately snapped back to reality upon hearing Cassius' awkward words.

She covered her face as she practically shoved herself away from Kingsley's embrace. Alas, that didn't really help as her crimson ears betrayed her embarrassment.

After a while, she tidied up her hair and stuttered, "I-I'll start doing my rounds now."

Then, she dashed out of the ward without even a backward glance.

In contrast, Kingsley didn't find it weird at all as he turned his attention to Cassius. "Alright, just look for Kenny."

Suddenly, he remembered something and added, "By the way, tell him that the preparations for the new force can begin. I will discuss the details with you once I'm free." All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

"Yes, Boss Nicholson!" Cassius replied and left with Shannon.

After they left, Alan dismissed the nurse and approached Kingsley eagerly. "Dr. Nicholson, can you give me some guidance? I am already past my prime, and I have no urge to seek out fame and fortune. I just want to delve deeper into the field of traditional medicine so I could treat more patients."

Kingsley genuinely admired Professor Gershwin a great deal.

Regrettably, those lost traditional medicine techniques were not something he could teach just because he wanted to.

"Professor Gershwin, please understand that I'm not hoarding this out of selfishness."

Kingsley said tentatively, "It's just that these lost things were all taught to me by my godfather. You should know full well what that means. So, I cannot teach them to others without his authorization."

Then, he changed the topic abruptly, refusing to dive deeper into tricky waters!
