Chapter 685 A Huge Loss

Oscar chuckled awkwardly after being snubbed by Zephyr and kept his mouth shut. In the meantime, in the VIP room, Baron was so overwhelmed with panic that it almost drove him to the brink of insanity as he could clearly hear the discussions from the crowd.

"Craig has to win this time." He couldn't stop his leg from shaking. "The odds of the bets are too high. If all these people bet on that guy winning, I'll go bankrupt with the payout."

While he was drowning in distraught, Craig walked into the ring. Unlike Adrien who switched to black fights for money after being a golden belt fighter, Craig had been training in the black boxing ring since he debuted and had built his name with his own sweat and blood. In the ring, his aim was to defeat and kill his opponent—he was the only one who would make it out alive!

The second Craig stepped into the ring, Bronte's eyes lit up. "Oho! This guy has already reached the proficient stage, huh?"

Anyone who was strong and fit to a certain level could surpass ordinary people in their strength and reaction speed, and such a person could be considered a proficient martial artist.

Craig glared at Bronte with daggers in his eyes as he snarled in a deep, low voice, "Kid, cut your nonsense, and let's see who's the real deal!"

"Sure, my thoughts exactly!" Bronte loosened his shoulders. "I have always been partial to a quick and clean fight," he said and lunged toward Craig at the speed of light.

A sound similar to the sound of a drum mallet hitting a drum boomed. The next second, Craig threw up blood and was thrown off the ring like a kite with a cut string. He even slammed into the board

between the ring and the audience seats. As a result, his body sent a cloud of dust flying in the air as he threw up another mouthful of blood.

"Ugh!" A pair of eyes filled with disbelief gradually lost focus before finally passing out.

The audience stared blankly for a good few minutes before realizing what had happened. Then, all of a sudden, the entire arena broke into a clamor.

Someone exclaimed in disbelief, "Damn, it's just one punch and Craig is defeated?! He's too strong. It looks like the Black Boxer Gang is completely defeated this time!"

Another person waved his hands in the air with exhilaration written all over his face. "I'm rich! I'm rich! I bet that Craig would lose and I've hit the jackpot!"

While the audience seats were abuzz with excitement, Baron was pale with worry, slamming the table and shouting in frustration, "F*ck it! Where the hell did Boss Jarett find such a strong fighter? I've made a big loss today! I have never imagined that even Craig is not his match. What am I going to do now?"

When Kingsley saw that Baron was practically seething with frustration, he said calmly, "What to do? Everything will be okay if you win the match."

"Win the match? Do you think it's that easy?" He held his head in his hands as he added in despair, "Craig's strength is amongst the top ranks in the underground fighting circle and we have no one stronger than him in our gang."

Baron was stunned. "B-Boss Nicholson, you want to fight him in the ring? This guy is ruthless, and you shouldn't take this risk!" Then, he clenched his hands, allowing his nails to bite into his palm as

he muttered, "We can't fight anymore. No more fights. If this continues, I'll lose the entire gang. Let me think it over. There has to be another way to deal with this guy."

Craig had just lost this match, and according to the odds of one to ten for the bet, Baron lost hundreds of thousands after that fight. His brain was about to explode from the anxiety and all he could think about was to not make more losses. In addition, he was still pinning his hopes on Kingsley to expand his turf using Kingsley's influence. If Kingsley died in this ring, he would definitely regret this in the future!
