The Russian Don – A Dark Mafia Romance

Chapter 39

I was stunned when I learned that my heart donor has loved Juliana till his death and his heart still beats for her. I couldn’t wrap my heart around the fact that even after his death, she’s ruling his heart.

Till had been literally ten since I had my heart transplant from Greyson and this heart never beat the way it does when I see Julianna.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

Oh god!

I should call Sebastian right now.

I grabbed my phone and called him here.

I stared at the picture of him and Julianna, his eyes reflected the love he has for Julianna which made me feel uncomfortable inside. I don’t know if it is jealousy or something but I didn’t like the way he wrapped his hand around her waist like that.

“Nik?” I heard Sebastian’s voice and asked him to come in.

“What is it?” he asked,

“I found that Greyson, the heart donor, loved Julianna, the woman I talked about…” I spoke,

“Oh, that’s a surprise,” he commented,

“Yeah,” I replied,

“What a coincidence,” he chuckled, “This definitely makes sense now,” he said, looking at me.

“You heartache’s and strange beating and all,” he added.

“Yeah, but I’m surprised,” I said, “I never heard anything like this before,”

“Well, it’s possible, Nik, he gave her his heart,” he said while sitting on the chair.

“But the question here is? Do you love her?” he asked all of a sudden,

“What?” I was surprised,

“Your heart does beat for her, Nik, but do you love her?” He asked,

I stared at him, everything that happened between us in the past few days rushed to my mind.

“I…I don’t know….” I spoke,

“She matters to me… and for a fact, I know I can’t leave without her,” I said, looking at my palms.

“Then, follow your heart Nikolai,” He said, smiling at me.

“Find her and tell her what you feel,” he added,

I glanced at him and with a determined look, I said, “I will,”

I will find you and make you mine, Julianna.

You will be mine forever.

Julianna’s Pov;-

I was sleeping on my bed and suddenly heard a knock on my door, I woke up and glanced at the door.

“Come in,” I said,

The door was pushed open and Millian walked in, she had a smile on her face while she bought lunch for me.

“Mil, you don’t have to do it,” I said,

“Nonsense, if I don’t look after you my brother would turn into a ghost and haunt me for the rest of my life, Julia,” she said while placing the tray on the nightstand.

I chuckled at her words.

“Have your lunch, Julia,” She said,

“Okay,” I replied,

I began having my lunch, “Who’s the father?” she asked,

“I don’t want to talk about it, Mil,” I replied,

“Okay, but if you want to then don’t hesitate to tell me, Julia,” She said placing her hand on mine,

“I will,”

She smiled at me before leaving me.

I sighed deeply remembering everything that happened.

“Julia,” Stella walked inside the room,

“Yeah,” I replied.

Yes, Stella is out.

3 days back,

I was hurriedly walking inside in the corridor, Max was following me behind carrying my bag. I entered the pin of my door and opened it. I have to take all my important things and leave this place as soon as possible.

Nikolai’s men will find me if I stay here.

I hurried to my bedroom but stopped in my tracks as I saw Stella walking from her room towards the kitchen.

“Stella?” I whispered,

Hearing me, she turned to me, “Julia?”

She rushed to me and hugged me with tears rolling in her eyes, “Oh my god, You’re okay,”

“I don’t understand, How are you here?” I asked looking at her in confusion,

“After two days of holding me captive, they brought me back and left me here and also warned me if I said anything about this to anyone… they would kill you,” she said,

“Thank god, You are okay,” I said, hugging her again.

“But how did you escape?” she asked,

“It’s a long story, I’ll tell you later,” I said rushing towards my room, “First, we need to leave this place as soon as possible,”

“But…” I cut her off,

“Stella, if Nikolai discovered that I escaped, this is the first he would come, So please pack your things, we need to leave in 5 min,” I said,

“Okay,” she replied and rushed into her room.

We packed our bags and hurried out, “Max, thank you so much for dropping me here, you can go now…” before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off.

“No Ma’am, Mrs, Fransico ordered me to drop you wherever you want until you reach a safe place to live,” he said,

I glanced at Stella and back at him.

“Okay,”

He loaded our luggage in the car and immediately drove us from there, “Where to, Ma’am?” he asked.

“San Jose,” I said.

I never thought I would go back to San Jose, where I lost him. My first love.

It took days for me to recover from that incident and going back would definitely refresh all that pain and memories but I have to face them now. I don’t have other choices.

I took my new phone out and dialed Millian’s number, after a few rings, she answered the call.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Mil?” I asked,

“J-Julia?” She immediately recognised my voice, “Oh my gosh, how are you?”

“I’m fine, How are you?” I asked,

“I’m good too!” she replied,

“Mil, I need your help,” I said,

“What happened?”

I asked her to let us live with her for a few until we find a place for me and Stella to live and she agreed immediately.

Now we are here, thanks to Max, who bought us here.

For three days, I couldn’t forget Nikolai’s words, what he said and what he did to me. He used Stella to control me, even though she wasn’t his captive anymore. I hate him.

I fucking hate Nikolai for what he did to me.
