The Returning Ex Chapter 1032

In fact, Jasmine and Logan were not in a romantic relationship because he had never declared his love for her before. Although Jasmine had hinted for him to do so, he never gave her any committal reply.

Actually, Logan wasn’t even sure what was wrong with him. Recently, he would ask Jasmine out for a meal or to watch a movie—the things that a couple would do. However, whenever Jasmine asked him what kind of relationship they were in, he could never give a definitive answer.

After some contemplation, Sophia advised, “If you really love that girl, bring her to see us someday.”

Logan unknowingly frowned and muttered, “We’ll see.”

Unable to see his expression, Sophia just thought that he was bashful, therefore she chuckled and said, “Are you trying to hide her from us? It seems that you really treasure her.”

Logan replied, “No. How should I put this… We’re still in the early stage of our relationship, so I don’t want to bring her to meet you yet lest she is terrified. We’re still trying to figure things out.”

Sophia had never seen him like this before, for the Logan she knew was a straightforward man. She then said, “Logan, what are you afraid of in this relationship? In fact, loving someone isn’t as complicated as you imagined. If you love her, then confess it to her. If she loves you back, then it’s all good. Maybe she isn’t overthinking about this as you are now. Perhaps she really loves you, and she’d like to meet your friends.”

Frustrated, Logan scratched his head and said in a perfunctory manner, “Alright. I’ll tell her about this later. I’m afraid that she’ll be terrified if I bring her to meet my friends all of a sudden. After all, she’s a shy young woman.” Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

Hearing this, Sophia guffawed. “Logan, I’m really surprised.” She didn’t say what she was surprised about, and Logan never pursued this topic.

Then, Sophia changed the topic by asking him whether he had new information regarding the shadow bank.

At the mention of this, Logan became disgruntled because it reminded him of the fact that John and Lola had a discussion without him. Are they really my friends? Do they understand that I’m the most important person in this matter? How could they just ignore me?

At the thought of this, Logan was gripped by grievance.

After hearing Sophia’s question, he fell silent for a moment and replied, “Why don’t you ask your husband about it? Don’t you know that he’s a know-it-all? Basically, there’s nothing in this world that he doesn’t understand.”

Sensing that something was off, Sophia questioned, “What’s wrong? Did you have an argument with John or something?”

“No. Why would I argue with him?” Trying to defend his dignity, he then said, “I’m speaking the truth. Your husband has gotten close to Lola now, and they’ve been sharing information with each other. Hence, your husband knows all about this case. He’s your husband, so there’s no need for you to inquire with me about this case.”

Hearing this, Sophia fell silent.

Logan went on to say, “I was afraid that John couldn’t get his hands on the latest information, so I became the middleman for him and told him the information I got from the police. Guess what happened next? After he got into contact with Lola, he kicked me away directly. I don’t really mind this, but his action is unacceptable. In fact, it’s great that he’s stopped telling me about this case because I don’t have to worry about it anymore. It’s best that he’ll handle this on his own and won’t ever bother me again. Do you agree with me?”
