“How dare you?” Calvin shouted, controlling Keanu at the same time, who wanted to come out and tear him into pieces.

“Mr. Haysbert.” The manager that had gone into the CCTV room to check the footage came running to Calvin when he saw in the footage what was happening in the store at that moment.

“Get that idiot here,” Calvin yelled at him angrily. Ethlyn held his arms to calm him down, but it didn’t look like it was working. The moment the salesman reached Calvin, he started apologizing.

“So what? Hold on, why is he sorry? For assuming my wife, Mrs. Calvin Haysbert a thief or he is sorry for judging a customer just because she hadn’t worn expensive and branded clothes?”

“Please calm down,” Ethlyn said to him softly, but Calvin ignored her.

“Answer me, damnit!!!”

“Sorry, sir, I was going to check every customer.” The salesman tried to defend himself.

“Lies. I can smell a lie from your words.” Calvin hissed and started snapping his fingers, “Within seconds, within seconds, this whole store will be out of this mall if you won’t stop using your stupid mouth.”

“Mr. Haysbert, please calm down.” The manager requested in tense because he knew that the owner of this mall was Caroline Gosling, who was apparently his elder sister. Caroline Gosling had grown up to be a famous architect in the last few years. Earlier, her work was limited to helping her husband renovate and build new hotel branches but now her company was also into building plush societies for the people, commercial buildings, and many more. She could kick them out of the store even though they have been paying the rent timely. “I’m sorry on his behalf. I’m sorry, Ma’am.” He said, looking at Ethlyn.

“Don’t be. I understand that you have to check the customers because you lost one of your diamond earnings. So, let’s start checking from me.” Calvin yelled again.

“Please, sir. Don’t embarrass us.” The manager said meekly.

“Really? Your staff can insult my wife, and I can’t even embarrass you? Come on, check me. And I request every one of you to please corporate.” He said to other customers.

“Excuse me, sir!!” The other staff came running toward the manager. “I just found in the CCTV footage that the customer who already left the store took that diamond earning with themselves.”

“Damn, go and search the whole mall for the customer.” The managed ordered and looked at Calvin in tension. What could be worst than this situation for him?

“I’m so…”

“Keep that sorry in your….” Calvin didn’t complete the sentence, but he indirectly signaled the salesman where he meant to keep his sorry. “Let’s go.” Saying this, Calvin kept Ethlyn’s dress in another bag and grabbed her hand.

“Sir, your purchase…” The other salesman said.

“You could have stopped your colleague from all this drama, knowing very well that with whom she was here. But nope, you stood there like a statue and just minded your own business. Do you really think that I will buy anything now?” Calvin taunted, and holding Ethlyn’s wrist; he walked out of the store.

“Alpha… Alpha Calvin.” Ethlyn called his name, but Calvin ignored her. After a while, she stopped walking, making him glare at her. “Can you please calm down?”

“I’m mad at you, Ethlyn. You’re ready to fight with me all the time but can’t do the same for yourself? Now, dare you to speak a word. “See how your tongue started working like a scissor in front of me.” Calvin glared before leaving from there. “Anyway, take care of yourself.”

After a moment, when Calvin left the mall and Ethlyn was busy in the spa, hunters walked out of their hidden spot.

“Pheewww!!! I thought the Alpha wouldn’t leave.”

“Let’s kidnap that bitch quickly.”

“Yes!!”
