Ethlyn was about to speak when Abigail spoke, “Mr. Hasysbert, the mistake of my daughter of that night is that she loves us a lot. Alpha Calvin wanted to kill me that night, and she spoke so to that Alpha Calvin ended up pouring his anger on her instead of me. And exactly the same thing happened that night. “He could that done all thing privately as well. I mean between the family. What was the need to do all that drama publicly? It takes years to build an image, and Alpha Calvin ruins the reputation and image of Ashley’s parents in a few minutes. He told everyone that how one of Ashley’s lovers committed suicide but did he know that Ashley’s father couldn’t handle all this at died of a heart attack?”

“Did he know that how embarrassing it was for her family members in that locality that they had to leave from there by selling everything?” Ethlyn questioned. “And I’m ashamed of supporting Ashley at that moment because I was just thinking about saving her parent’s reputation.”

Now it’s my turn.” Ethlyn shut Calvin in between just like he did when she was about to speak. “I know you have done a lot of things for Rose in all these past years, but it wasn’t that I was enjoying my vacation in the Maldives after abandoning my pup. When I fell down because of slippery soil on the mountain, my first priority was to keep my pup safe. I was in a coma for all years because Cinder used her powers to keep Rose safe instead of healing the nerves that joined us. I could have let Rose die if I wouldn’t have wanted her, but I didn’t. I wanted her then. I want her now.”

“Sir, Ma’am. Please!! Please, don’t take any decision against me. I have already lost my son. I don’t want to lose my daughter.” Ethlyn said again, revealing that she was pregnant with twins. “Alpha Calvin couldn’t feel the pain of his death because he wouldn’t have waited for his pup’s birth. But I did. I used to count the days until my pup’s arrival.”

“I’m sure that Alpha Calvin wouldn’t have celebrated Rose’s sudden arrival in his life, but I… I had celebrated each and every moment with my pup and waited to see him/her. It was my destiny that I couldn’t get that then, but thanks to Doctor Liara Wayne that I’m finally awake from a deep sleep.” Ethlyn said, unaware of the fact that she was Calvin’s sister. And hearing that name, Sophia’s eyes moistened, and Brandon’s body stiffened. “No matter how many times I would thank her, it wouldn’t be any less. She gave me a second chance.”

Brandon’s chest tightened in pride, hearing Liara’s praise, and he recalled his words before kicking her out of the family.

‘Get lost from here before I end up ripping your mate’s head. I thought you would become a DOCTOR in the future, but you… you left your career for your mate who is not even of your standard.’

“I agree, Mr. Haysbert,” Christian spoke. “I didn’t know Doctor Liara is your daughter. I must say, she is really very talented.”

“Please don’t mind me, but you’re an urban werewolf, so you’re not really famous in all the packs, but your daughter is making you famous all over the packs now. You must be very proud of her.” He added.

Ethlyn’s eyes widened in shock at this new information. She didn’t know these people were that famous and powerful. Calvin observed his parents getting overwhelmed after hearing about Liara, so he spoke.

“Now that you’re finished. Let me clarify for you that I didn’t spike your drink or control your mind to come in my room because I can never stoop that low.” Calvin spoke.

Ethlyn answered back when she observed his words. ‘Could these things have been with me?’ She wondered, and surprisingly the same thing came across Calvin’s mind. The woman he was supposed to share his night with vanished in thin air.

“And just like you, I wasn’t in my sense,” Calvin said and recalled that the unknown she-wolf was aware of it.

“Enough now. I have heard the points of both of you. And Calvin, I feel not everything is what it looks like in its first impression. I won’t go far and will be an example of your own brother.” Brandon said.
