“Alpha Calvin…” Chloe whispered, hoping him to still trust her over everyone, thinking that he might be thinking her was his fated mate, right? She was in so much pain that she missed realizing that the spell on Calvin had been broken.

Keanu’s blood boiled when he heard Chloe’s voice, he wanted to kill her then and there, but he remembered what Ethlyn was asking before he interrupted her.

“What did you say to my daughter because of which she ran out crying and even left the pack?” He asked, looking at her dangerously. He doubted that it was just her behind everything. If she was with the hunters, then she might be knowing their real identity as well.

“Answer it,” he growled, cutting her in between. “Trust me, I’m worst than Ethlyn when I come to torture,” he added, scaring her. “Answer me the damn question, and I will let you go.”

“Y.. you will?” Chloe asked in disbelief.

“Yes, I give you my word that I will let you go. Because all that matters to me is my daughter’s safety.” Calvin lied smoothly with a poker face. The fact that the witch was just like a human, Chloe couldn’t sense his lie.

“I… I told her… that she.. she is a mistake of one night… st.. stand.” Chloe replied in fear. A muscle ticked in his jaw as he felt anger increasing with each passing second. The more Chloe spoke, what else she said to Roselet, the more he felt anger rushing through his veins.

Calvin felt like crying when he came to know how Chloe made her feel UNWANTED. Roselet’s heart would have been broken when she would have told her that she wasn’t a gift which her daddy kept telling her for years but was just a mistake. And how Chloe suggested her to leave the pack for her father’s happiness.

Anyone who knew Roselet knew that she loved her daddy the most and would do anything for his happiness and the fact that she felt that her departure would make her daddy happy, so she ended up taking such a stupid as well as a naive step.

“So, who is the leader of the hunters, and did they send you here?” Calvin questioned.

“I… I don’t know his name. I just talked with him over the phone. I.. I can give you the phone number, though.” Chloe suggested, pulling out her phone from her pocket, but it was totally damaged because of punches and treatment that she received from Ethlyn.

She received a tight slap from Calvin before he spoke, “Nice try, but I’m sure you remember his number as well,” Calvin knew very well that she might have another alternative to contact those hunters in case her phone would have completely destroyed in the drama that she had played yesterday of getting injured to this extent that he ended up bringing her to the pack.

The color of Chloe’s face paled. She was thinking of leaving from here smartly, but it looked like it wasn’t going to happen.

“Now, tell me the whole truth from beginning to end. If I smell a single lie, then you will be dead in the next moment.” Calvin threatened on which Chloe tried to control her crocodile tears. “I want to know everything. EVERY single THING that you know.”

That was when Chloe started telling him how she was a best friend and also a childhood friend of Elena and what she had done for Elena by planning against Ethlyn from the beginning. She gave Calvin the number of the hunter’s leader, but she really had no idea about who they were; only Elena knew about them.

“And where is your best friend? Calvin asked.

“I… I can’t tell you about that.” Chloe said, shaking her head, playing the role of the best friend for REAL.

Calvin pressed his lips tightly but didn’t say anything to her. He turned his head, looking at the pack doctor. “Doctor, treat her injuries and the rest of you all, ” he paused, looking at the pack members in the hospital. “Make sure to return her the same pain once she is fine that she had given to the princess of the pack.”

“Alpha…” Chloe looked at Calvin in horror.

“Doctor, once she returns back to this state, then you will treat her again so that the others pack members can kick her ass again,” Calvin ordered, ignoring Chloe.

‘Make sure that she won’t get a chance to leave the hospital because her powers will start working in that area.’ He mind linked his pack members, running out of the hospital. Then he mind-linked Zordan, whom he had sent behind Roselet along with one-fourth of the pack warriors, to know the status, but sadly they hadn’t found Roselet by then.

Now that he knew that hunters would be searching for Roselet as well with all their force, he wasn’t sure that only one-fourth of the warriors was enough. They might end up in a tiny or big war.

“Where is your Luna?” Calvin asked when he didn’t find Ethlyn in the penthouse; he thought of apologizing to her before he left. However, he knew that just a simple SORRY was nothing for the insulting words that he used for her.

“No, Alpha. She never came here.” The guard replied.

‘Does anyone know where Ethlyn is?’ Calvin mind linked everyone instead of searching for her in the whole pack.

‘Alpha, she too went in search of the princess through the secret exit.’ Calvin wanted to slam his head on the wall when he heard this.

‘She doesn’t even know how to fight. What the hell was she thinking before leaving the pack?’ He fumed in anger at her stupid move. But could he blame her?
