“Okay. Now better speak the truth because I know that you don’t want to do anything with our mate.” Calvin said, crossing his arms around his chest. “Is it because of Ethlyn? or for Rose? Maybe for Rose because you might be thinking of giving her a complete family with her real parents, but all pup is not that lucky.”

Colton stared at him and realized that the more he would push away from the woman who he was calling his mate, either by forcefully or blackmailing, the more he would run toward her.

“Yeah. Maybe right. But she will be that one lucky pup whose real mom and dad will be part of the same family, if not together.” Colton said, and in the next moment, he threw Calvin away when he launched at Colton in anger. “Ethlyn and I…”

Calvin growled at him, dangerously cutting him in between. “I will kill you, Colton, and would die happily even if I have to, but I swear, I won’t mind ripping you apart.” Keanu threatened.

“Oh, I’m scared.” Colton mocked, and immediately his eyes turned black, and tattoos started appearing on his whole body. The ring on his finger turned into a sword.

‘Kill him. Kill this mutt.’ Colton heard his sword speaking.

‘Holy shit.’ Calvin cursed when Colton’s sword started flying in the air, pointing toward him. Once launched at him, the sword would rest in peace only when it would be finally stabbed him in his heart.

“Zordy told me…” Sophia walked in happily into Calvin’s office and found Colton in the sword’s power. She came happily to meet Colton because she learned from Zordan about Colton’s presence when she reached the pack after dinner. While hearing Sophia’s words, Colton returned back to his old self.

“Mom, I…”

After half an hour!! Calvin walked out of the cabin toward the elevator to stay by Ethlyn’s side, leaving his mother with his other son.

“Try to mediate and control your anger, okay?” Sophia suggested.

“Or I should just stay away from you all,” Colton suggested and received a smack on his arms from his mother.

“Nonsense. I will have your back always until you find your mate. Or maybe you already did. Go and check on that woman whom Calvin had brought.” Sophia said to which Colton nodded his head.

In the next couple of minutes, Colton was in the room where his mate was resting peacefully. He kept looking at her for hours without blinking, but he felt NOTHING for her.

Colton knew that he was not fond of women, but as per studies, he should have felt something or anything for his mate, but the result was a big NO. Even a cruel and cold-hearted person feels something for their mate or finds her attractive, but I don’t feel anything. This means only one thing. Either we are blessed with different mates, or you’re neither of us mates.’ Colton thought, glaring at the woman sleeping in front of him.

Calvin walked into his penthouse and kept thinking about Colton’s words again and again.

‘Stay alert, brother, because the danger is going to visit you very soon. I don’t know the ways.’

He was positive the danger about which Colton was talking was related to the hunters. And he really needed to put them in place.

But that couldn’t be possible until he figured out their plan and stepped ahead of them.

‘What happened? What are you thinking so hard?’ Calvin asked his wolf.

‘That we have to share our mate.’ Keanu growled, thinking how Colton would be sitting beside their mate. Calvin chuckled before speaking, ‘Just because he gave upon his every right doesn’t mean he is born to sacrifice his everything for us. If not for you, I would have given up on her already because you didn’t get a chance to know Colton, but I… I was just a few minutes behind him, and I knew what he had done for me all my life. He has always stood ahead of me, acting like a big strong wall.’

‘But why are you whining about Colton staying with her? It was you who agreed with it.” Calvin questioned his wolf, who kept pacing in his mind.

“That’s because he said that he would spend time with Ethlyn if we stayed beside our mate. He better keeps his thought and hands off Ethlyn; he is only and only ours. Moon Goddess didn’t destine her with him.” he growled in anger. He wanted to kick Colton’s guts for saying so in front of him.

While he was having his discussion with his wolf, he walked into the kitchen to drink water. Immediately he threw all the water out of his mouth when Caroline and Artemis arrived there out of nowhere.

“Moon Goddess!” He cried. “Don’t do this teleportation thing in the house. I got scared,” he complained. Caroline giggled at first but then frowned.

“Why do I sense a witch around you?” She questioned.

“Really?” Calvin questioned and looked at Artemis, who raised his hand in the air.

“No idea about witch thing, Brother-in-law.” Artemis said before adding, “Only a witch has the power to sense that.”

“I don’t know then,” Calvin mumbled because he couldn’t recall any witch near him, but Caroline still kept staring at him suspiciously.

“How do you feel? I mean, is anything unusual? Any change in emotions?”

“I feel perfectly fine.”

“Regina, he was with Ethlyn the whole evening,” Artemis suggested.

“I had sensed the same thing when I reached the terrace, but I was thinking of having a third baby at that moment. That was why I didn’t notice it then.” Caroline said.

“You are planning for a pup?” Calvin asked in excitement.
